Wonderful pattern roundup! Love that you concentrated on some that we may not have heard about. Excited about the Chouquettes slipover. I had to buy it immediatey. Thank you for a great podcast and inspiration!
Thanks for sharing these patterns. Some, as expected, just wouldn’t work for me but even being 70 years young I can make and wear some of these. The Cameo vest is my favorite and I had not seen that one before.
Aegyo knit is read as eh-gyo knit (open è). It means cute, adorable gestures you make to loved ones. Just a Korean knitter passing by and wanted to let you know. I never wear vests but changed my mind after getting a leather bustier for a blouse last week. Just waiting for the weather to cool down. I should first finish my vest WIP!
This video read my mind!! i was just AGONIZING over vests and i decided on the Cloud Slipoverby Ksenia Naidyon. Other considerations are/were the Mammoth Slipover by Ode Knitwear, or the Zipper Slipover by Petite Knit. Loved the video!
Great video and good selection. Love your energy. I'm just starting the Woodpecker vest by Lotta H Lothgren and I also really like Hyacinth by Elizabeth Smith.
I bought the kit for the flagship vest too! I have never steeked either. I think I will cast it on sometime this winter after I clear off some needles and after gift knitting.
I really enjoy round up videos and vests 18:46 are also my most worn knitted item. I have made several and have 1 on the needles. I made 2 Holiday Slipovers by Petite Knit and 1 Highland Slipover by Ozetta. I wear them every week in the Western New York winters. Perfection. On the needles is the Campus Vest by Aimee Sher. Great content and I agree with another that details regarding measurements are not interesting and also I could have watched another 10 ideas. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll give more details about construction and more pieces for my next roundup video. I am feeling very drawn to vests I think they may become my go to knitwear!
I love vests too, and I enjoyed the patterns you chose. Thanks for putting these ideas out for us! I have been considering the Lauder vest by Rebecca Clow. It has cables and a choice of round or v neck.
Thank you for sharing these-I’ve added a few to my list because I’ve got the vest knitting bug too 😊 This summer I knit the Rota sleeveless top by Irene Lin and so far I think it’s my favorite thing I’ve knit. Also on my “vests to knit” list are the Bifurca vest by Teti Lutsak and the Smokeshow by Thea Coleman.
I will cast on my very first vest today, on the official (calendarian) beginning of autumn in my part of the world. =) After some testing and swatching, the "Man Cold Vest", a unisex and free knitting pattern with a v-neck and some decorative cabling, designed by Amanda Woeger, has been chosen and I will be using fingering weight yarns held double (one multicolored (greens, blues, purple speckles) and the other a sold medium-light blue). As for constructive criticism: Hearing your dog huffing in the background while trying to get comfy makes me wanna shout "SHOW US THE DOGGO!" :DDD
Lovely roundup! I'm knitting the maggie vest right now. Never had a vest in my closet before, so I'm not really sure, how to wear it. But I needed something quick, so no sleeves it is;)
Have a look at Vest Beth, Ahsoka Slipover, Anna Vest, Rockhound Vest, Hayley Slipover, Winterberry Slipover, or Linnea halsskydd. They are incredible! I want to knit them all! 🧶
I am currently working on "Clear Day" vest by Drops Design. I heard bad things about drops patterns, that they have confusing wording at times, but I am enjoying this project. I think it's going to be lovely.
I have a hankering for a cable vest. I was looking at Moby by Petiteknit but today I saw another podcaster mention the Holmen vest. Hmmmm? Which one? My coastal NC location has mild winters. I need things like cardigans and vests. Things that are super wooly do not get much wear.
I have also been eyeing the moby vest but have been looking for a cabled one I like just as much to give as an alternative to petite knit, she does write great patterns, but I have made so many pieces by her and not many from others.
Thanks for inspiring ideas!! BUT please all the measurements are not needed - if interested can look up the pattern. The positive ease is helpful, if you want to add the initial bust measurements okay..... thank goodness you did not do it in cm and inches like some podcasters. Love the discussion of the pattern and yarn choices.
Hey a fellow Halifaxian! Loved your suggestions and glad to have found you!
Thank you so much :)
Loved this! You did an amazing job & showed me new patterns ❤ Thank you 😊

I’ve been thinking I need to make a vest or two! Thanks for the inspiration!! 🤗✨
Loved the uniqueness of your list! I am tempted to make at least 4 of them. I’m eager to see what else is in your bundle. Thanks for sharing these.
Thank you so much 😊 I can’t wait to get some of them in my needles
Im knitting the eurus sweater right now. I love the look of the vest as well! Its so much fun!
Oooh the sweater also looks like such a feat!
Wonderful pattern roundup! Love that you concentrated on some that we may not have heard about. Excited about the Chouquettes slipover. I had to buy it immediatey. Thank you for a great podcast and inspiration!

Of course! It's such a great pattern
The fit and texture of the chouquettes slipover reminds me of chainmail, super cool
I hadn't thought of that, but it totally does!
I enjoyed this video! Thanks
Yay! Thank you :)
Thanks for sharing these patterns. Some, as expected, just wouldn’t work for me but even being 70 years young I can make and wear some of these. The Cameo vest is my favorite and I had not seen that one before.
Thanks 😊 the cameo is such a wonderful pattern
I love vests, good job. I have made the Lana vest , (not over size)cables love it. Cameo is my next vest ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I almost included the lana vest or a different irene lin pattern. The cameo is such a gorgeous pattern! I'm hoping to get it on my needles this year.

I never wear vests but changed my mind after getting a leather bustier for a blouse last week. Just waiting for the weather to cool down. I should first finish my vest WIP!
Thanks for sharing! I love that definition for what Aegyo means. What vest pattern are you knitting?

Thank you so much! I’ll need to check those patterns out. I have some worsted wool in a vest quantity.
Great video and good selection. Love your energy. I'm just starting the Woodpecker vest by Lotta H Lothgren and I also really like Hyacinth by Elizabeth Smith.
Thank you :) they're both beautiful patterns!
I bought the kit for the flagship vest too! I have never steeked either. I think I will cast it on sometime this winter after I clear off some needles and after gift knitting.
Yes that is my plan to. I might knit it over Christmas when I am off from teaching.

Thanks :) that is such a lovely pattern! I love the options for sweater, vest, or cardigan! I might need to make one.

Thanks 😊 I’m excited to see how versatile the vests are to wear. I’ll need to check out those patterns
Fabel Knitwear has some really beautiful vest patterns.
I will need to check them out!

I’m also knitting the Maggie vest and I can’t wait to have it finished. I definitely agree with the process of no sleeves being enticing
Recently watched an episode of akanoraknits on TH-cam. Nora just finished a Clematis vest. She had nothing but good things to say about it.
It’s a very beautiful vest
it truly is!
ooh I might need to check it out!
Have a look at Vest Beth, Ahsoka Slipover, Anna Vest, Rockhound Vest, Hayley Slipover, Winterberry Slipover, or Linnea halsskydd. They are incredible! I want to knit them all! 🧶
Those are all awesome patterns! Thanks for sharing them. I added them to my ravelry bundle.
Hi great video and I am curious as to the sweater you are wearing- please share in each video if you are wearing knitwear!
Thank you and I will make sure to tell you what I’m wearing moving forward. It is the cognac cardigan by Atelier Castin
I am currently working on "Clear Day" vest by Drops Design. I heard bad things about drops patterns, that they have confusing wording at times, but I am enjoying this project. I think it's going to be lovely.
Ooh I love the little cable detail on the vest!

I'm looking for size 40 ladies V neck sleeveless open jersey I don't no how many sts to put on
Most of the knitting patterns refer to a bust measurement, you will need to know that to use a pattern
Thanks for the feedback, moving forward I’ll focus more on the uniqueness of the patterns.
