Sweet sweet chutney- harmonium, dhantal (steel rod) & dholak (drum) & the son of the late Issac Yankaran- Wonder Boy Anand Yankaran. Rest in peace. Your music & legacy will live forever!!!! ❤
Can some one please tell me what he is signing about. I don't want to ask my family members because sometimes some of the lyrics turns out to have double meanings like kamra khali Hai for example.
a folk song from the perspective of a maiden saying she can not fetch the water, for it is too heavy. I think this is the literal meaning, because as you correctly stated, it could have a double meaning. the only other lyrics I understand are 'patli kamar' which mean 'slim waist'.
@@DeeJayKanak Yes you are correct! This is a wedding song, from the perspective of a young woman telling her husband that she cannot fill the goblet of water and she is too weak and small (“thin waist”). The symbolism being that she was once a little girl who lived at home and was spoiled by her father, she never had to work. Now she has gotten married and must endure the hardships of a wife and new daughter-in-law which is never-ending manual work.
