Gear vans can be CRAZY expensive so I feel that! I got really lucky with mine!

cooool i actually had the original pl adapter from dzo and returned it because it was so insanely heavy it was crazy, there were only, idk, 300-400g left for the lens :D even if you use the counterweight, so super good idea by dzo
@@robinprobyn1971 FX30 and FX3 have had variable shutter for a while now since update v3 or v4. Its in the Menu -> Shooting -> No. 5 Shutter/Silent -> Anti-flicker Set. -> Var. Shutter. To make it easier to access just add it to your My menu page to have faster access to it. It only works in shutter speed mode, but if you are using shutter angle and you turn it on, it will automatically switch you to shutter speed mode, and when you turn off the variable shutter, then it will return your previous shutter angle settings. You could also assign a custom button to the variable shutter if you prefer.
@@owenjenkinsofficial I dont have anything saying variable shutter in my fx3 V5 , but I think the fx30 has it , as do the the newer Alpha cameras . I think its not possible in the fx3
Whatever you do, don't get that Zhiyun Molus X100. The battery dies and good luck trying to get them to replace it. I have a set and have emailed them still no luck.
ZHIYUN MOLUS G300 looks good until you mentioned plastic body. Then you lost me. We all know plastic does not do well at all on shoots. At that price point, no thanks-you.
Plastic body reinforced by metal bars on the inside. So it's not water resistant but I can still drop it and the main components be good. At least, that's how it feels!
@@ChrisFranklinJr It's not the reinforcement that worries me. It's the plastic that covers it. One fall is all it takes. Especially in cold temperatures.
It's a pretty robust light , quite heavy , I mean Astra 1 x 1 panels are all plastic , and it's so cheap. One thing though , the balast / power supply is not a " battery pack " as described in this video ,, there is no battery power for this light.
@@robinprobyn1971 Ive learned the hard way not to deal with plastic made gear. Hell i had an Manfrotto tripod with a plastic knob that fell on the side. Knob exploded in pieces. Now i cant turn that knob tight. & that's just one small example. I need a certain quality over $200. There's to much stress going on set's & things gets knoc off ez.
Do you have any random gear that’s surprised you? I’d love to check it out!
Always your videos is best of the best bro 👌
Love Zhiyun for packing a lot of power in a small size. I'm not looking forward to investing in a production van any time soon.

@@sidvicious3129 THEY WHAT??? About to go check that out RIGHT NOW!
@@ChrisFranklinJr And clip flagging and a new Sony rec709 LUT/picture profile.

@@ozzythemighty2767 At which price point do you find fall-proof lights? That's a bit extreme well beyond normal use.
