Flying with Air Canada! My carrying on suit case won't fit!

Air Canada is scamming passengers. Most carryon suitcases are definitely wider than 20cm. Telling ppl to bring a carryon that's smaller than 16cm in width is total BS!

I can’t believe AC makes it so difficult to bring a 20” carryon. There size is unlike most of the carryon bags that are for sale. Typical Air Canada

It's funny that the measurements printed are wrong on their sizer board😂 On the right for the carry on it says 9" depth and in brackets (16cm) which is not an accurate conversion, as 16cm is actually 6" and 9" is actually 23cm.

Can you not have someone hold your phone while videoing? What is the size of your case using a measuring tape? I never go by specs from the company website. What is the ‘actual’ size of the sizer? If they are understating the sizer dimensions, isn’t that illegal? Can a person fight the measurement with AC if it’s not the size it states?

use a hard shell carry on suitcase like an Away bag. Watching these videos carefully to be ready on flight day! With hard shell, there is no expansion area to cause this problem

Some hard shell suitcases will also claim it’s 9 inches and it ends up actually being 10.

Hi everyone! I had to check in my suitcase! I actually thought it was the right size for carry on, when I was at the Vancouver International Airport. So always measure and weight your luggage before you flying out!
*The measurements of the blue suit case is 10 inches by 14 inches by 20 inches including wheels.
The suitcase does expand when it's full so that's another reason it didn't fit in the Air Canada measurement box.
