Go Bru you LEGEND. FYI check our Mini XLR system they might be "better" for attaching to directly to standard track can always mini to std XLR adapters. Again thanks Murder Valley for great content. ;)
Any thoughts on the phone based 'movement sensor' systems? I've played with LapTrax with some success. Ok you need to have an ugly phone suspended over your track, but it does work. Also: love my little MX5😂
I haven't used it personally, but have heard reports of varying success with it. I've heard reports of multiple lap counting for each pass. I'm sure it's better than some of the early options in this video. The Arduino based system Bru supplies has all the hard work, and the sourcing of items done for you. You can also build your own with plans from the Race Coordinator site. Biggest benefits of using software like Race Coordinator is it's highly customisable. With the addition of a call button, and power relay you can pause a race (cutting power and pausing the timer at the same time). You can run in practice mode, just counting lap times, or run a race. Race Coordinator can also run a whole racing season. Once you've had a bit of experience with how good a timing system is to use, other options are a bit primitive. Bru has awesome pricing. You might be surprised how cost effective his gear is. There's been prices thrown around for a lot of years what similar systems cost from overseas (what I paid). I wish there was someone offering what Bru is now when I started. I'd have saved hundreds of $$$.
@@murdervalleyraceway what I've found is that if you have a shadow fall on the track under the phone, then a false lap is counted. I found it quite frustrating until I found a well lit spot where my shadow didn't fall. Might be this that caused multiple lap counts. Just my 2c worth :)
You need good lighting, bright with no shadows as each lane is driven. Second, we found it “ok” for some fool-around lap times, but as a race timer it miscounts or skips once in a while..
Great video on timing systems and also the shaving tools look great! Thanks again for the great job you do on sharing with us!!!!!
Interesting…!!
Great video on timing systems. I have thought about auduino for timing. I think that is perfect for HO.

Great video! Now subscribed from USA.
Thank you. I hope you find out her interesting videos.

I believe this is subscription based ap & I'm not sure is is effective on 6 or 8 lanes.
