He put a cover on his plate and thought that stops an officer from seeing it and typing it in. I thought that was for cameras and tolls. He is stupid
Oh so it was only partially covered... with like one of those frame things? I thought he was saying that it was fully 100% blocked, and I was pretty sure that's illegal, so I thought it was odd the police officer wouldn't mention that.
@@harfharffulI think someone told him it wouldn’t be readable and he was gullible enough to believe it.
😂😅 idiot@@tearosefarmcrafts9969
Bet he believed it wouldn’t be readable by a plate reader, doesn’t stop a person from seeing the plate. You put that thing on your rear plate, a patrol unit is right behind you at a light-maybe the plate reader installed on the patrol unit can’t scan it, the officer sitting 10 feet behind you with an unobstructed view of your plate can read it…. Takes less than a minute for the officer to type in the plate on the computer mounted on the dashboard.
Most of those covers are meant to block the license from being visible at an angle like overhead cameras. They're ineffective if the cop is driving behind them.
You have to visibly display your license plate when you drive your car. Can’t be hidden. Hiding plate is against the law.
Altering the plate is illegal too. Just how many people are out there with two brain cells in a fight for third place?
Is it illegal in all states to cover? I’m guessing yes but don’t want to assume.
Poor Judge Simpson. Took all that time to help the defendant understand so that he could have a clear picture to make an argument…and then… in one ear, out the other. What an amazing judge!
If you don't break the law you aren't in the system stop blaming the police
@@LizWrotenthis is such an ignorant argument point, you must not practice law if you honestly believe breaking laws is just a matter of choice😂 stay away from the Bar we got enough bad ones out there
@@lennonsvrchannel how hard is it to not break the law?
@@lordraydens Have you ever gone 1mph over the speed limit? Even if cops may allow 10mph over, going 1mph over is still breaking the law.
@@Paranitis bruh
I have no doubt that this guy had an attitude towards the cop.
Ya think? 👍
So you just admitted to a new traffic charge in court derp
Wait a second.......you claim to have a CUSTOM AUDI, but you can't afford to get it out of impound??? I'm willing to bet the car is beyond his means, but he just had to have it to show off a lifestyle that he doesn't live.
He uses his entire welfare check to pay $150 a month + 32% interest rate. 😂
@@ScottW-vz4bf😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That seems to be an epidemic with folks in his age range!!! I'm still trying to make sense of a person putting themselves in insurmountable debt in order to show off!!!
What does covering your plate do, keep you from paying a toll? I don’t understand the reason for doing that.
Custom Audi .. lol .... bet it is a fucked up 150,000 miler , 10 previous don't give a toss owners , black bin bags for "tints" on the rear windows, pantyhose over the rear lights, and 9th hand "bling" wheel spinners .. yeah bet it looks real classy
And if he actually covered the plate, that is illegal
I don't remember, I didn't have it on me, that officer had no probable cause, someone else made a mistake 8 years ago, I've never been pulled over before, the officer was very rude to me! My plates were illegally covered, and he ran my plates anyway!
We really need a bingo sheet for these clips.
Went he went in they asked what he needed. He had to have asked for an ID OR, hear me out, they looked and saw he was disqualified for some reason and would not give him a license.
He lost his wallet! Full house!
Don't forget he just got a job and it's his birthday
@@mikeadams8027yeah, but it's hard to miss that what you have isn't a drivers license. it says STATE ID on it.
Grand Prize? A tin foil hat and matching "XRay glasses" for that Bingo game??
The cover on the plates is probably what made the cop notice him in the 1st place.
The only reason people put covers on plates is to hide something dodgy about the plate, or tag. Of course it makes a cop suspicious. In my book that's enough "probable cause" to look for other things that might be being hidden.
Here in Australia they do it to try and stop number plate recognition cameras from reading them, but all the cameras "see through" that little tactic, have for years.
@@iffracem They do it in Canada to avoid red-light cameras and toll highway cameras, and it also doesn't work, with the added bonus that you can get a ticket for covering your plate if the officer is so inclined.
He's an scammer
He's a total idiot
No. They use the cover to prevent the plate being read by cameras. Many feel (including myself), it's a warrantless search. Because, it is absent probable cause...
Dude admitted that his plate is covered? looks like he will have another problem coming his way lol
Me thinks the lad is not revealing the full facts of the matter. 🙄
He’s an idiot, and I’m sure he thought the cops should be impressed by his ghetto ride (🎉”Bad credit, no credit, walk in and ride out for $1,000 bucks down”!!) 😂
We have those dealerships all over Baltimore and bums like this guy cash their welfare check, make the down payment, and the car ends up getting repo’d 2 months later.
He's full of crap.
Hiding plates is a felony you just admitted to...
OMG, LISTEN and shut up
Can't get blood from a turnip! 😂 Guarantee if the license couldn't be read on his "custom Audi" he would have been cited for that as well.
Anyone getting the suspicion that he at least went semi sovcit
He has a story to tell and he's determined to tell it, even though it makes no sense. He is leaving out lots of details.
That was frustrating. Dude can't hear, can't answer questions because he's so agitated.
It wasn’t a search it was an inventory. He was towing your car.
This behavior is so typical... he just wants to be angry at someone, and a police officer is his target. The judge resisted digging deeper into the claims "but...but... my plate was covered." This guy was so close to being hit with some serious charges.
I'm like 75% certain that Judge Simpson heard that, refused to acknowledge it, and did his best to get the dude out of his courtroom asap before it became his problem. 😆
A state ID magically appeared. He still did not answer the question. He would have had to request a state ID and fill out the paperwork. I have never been given a license or ID of any kind magically through the mail.
So he was trying to obscure his plate? Wow. On the record in court.
Admitting to installing a license plate cover is probably not the smartest way to win your case 😂
Hey Judge. Analytical skills outstanding.
There’s no way this idiot didn’t know he didn’t have a driver’s license. You don’t go 8 years without a DL and not realize it. My guess is this guy didn’t renew his license back in 2014 when it first expired and then went and got a regular ID and just kept driving around like that and then finally he was pulled over by this cop.
Why would anyone need to take a driving test twice without first asking why and sort the problem out at that time.
Because he’s lying? 😂
“My Audi is custom”
Translation: its 15 yrs old
😂😂😂
Same thing I said 😂
"Somebody" made an error, but he doesn't remember when or have proof of any of it??
🤔So he’s admitting to covering up his plate which is illegal.
He just admitted to a crime - in court - to a Judge.
Plates CANNOT BE COVERED.
He can’t stay on point. Plus, selective memory doesn’t help his case. If his wallet was stolen, why not replace his DL. Who would settle for state ID if you have a valid DL?
A menm I think he did it in purpose
maybe that was the mistake they mentioned at the AG's office. not that it would be hard to notice that what you have isn't a driver's license. it conspicuously says STATE ID on it lmao.
Exactly!
But,judge,I had an illegal license plate cover😂
Here's one way you can tell that this guy's is in the wrong and knows he's in the wrong -- he avoids answering what are, very simple questions.
Exactly! “Yeah but the cop who pulled me over…”. To every friggin question! 😂
Those plates are ALL illegal in ALL states.
Canada too.
Everywhere in the world
Either the cop could see through the magical cover, or the stop was conducted for not having plates visible. Either way, it’s a valid stop.
He thinks he’s the first person to try and use this story … Judge was all “Mmm Hmm, denied”. Next! 😂
LOVE TO YOU JUDGE SIMPSON ❤. MORE LIKE MINDED NEEDED. You compassion to educate, speak truth yet stay minded if APPRECIATED.
He has a custom Audi but is sniveling about the impound bill. His plate was covered? Isn’t that illegal?
he can't answer a simple Judge Simpson question. So sad this man/boy is so far behind.
Cant believe hes outting himself about having obstructed plates
He is not going to answer since he knows that HE HAD TO ASK FOR IT.
He was driving down the road with his plate covered? Isn't that a reason to pull him over?
He wants to be a victim so bad
SO bad!! 💯
Why do people put covers on their plates? Covering, or hiding, a license plate is illegal.
Dummy probably went in to the dmv and said he's there to get another i'd instead of replacement license
He probably thinks them inventorying his car before it was towed is the same as searching for drugs. They have to inventory the car otherwise someone will claim someone (police) stole something from it while in impound. Not sure if they are able to prosecute if they find something while doing inventory.
If they find contraband, they can prosecute. At least in my state.
He’s idiot enough to think if he keeps crying about the way he was treated during the traffic stop, someone in the courtroom will magically make his tow fees disappear. 😂
He was basically spoon feed a defense. He's arguing his case instead of his plea. He couldn't be bothered to bring in any documentation, he left his license at home. He's doing everything possible to get himself convicted.
Since when does Michigan or any other state allow anyone the option to cover or conceal a plate?
Since never.
You are not supposed to cover your plates on your car. What is this guy smoking.
He's smoking the newspapers they used to house train the dog....
I would have asked him why he didn't renew his driver's license from when his 2010 expired.
Ok now, that one gave me a headache 😣
Relax judge he doesn’t want to pay $3000 to get the car out. The guy is very dense
It is a violation to cover your plate.
I don't have the money to get my impounded car off the lot, but I "have" the money to sue a judge whose opinion I don't agree with.
He had to physically go to the Secretary of State to get the state ID, and you have to physically go in every year to get another one ( they expire yearly ) bet he was using a state ID in place of actually getting his drivers license current and in his possession.
I don't understand the covered plate, wouldn't it be ticketable to obscure your plate?
Yes
wow this kid is entitled
JFC, some people just can't answer a simple question. "Do you know when you got that state ID?" "I ended up getting robbed." WTF kind of answer is that?
Anyone else get baby Sovcit vibes?
He hasn’t had license registration or insurance since 2016. He gets his car impounded. Then he is upset that he needs to get a license insurance and registration in order to get his car out of the impound lot, which is why they impounded the car. You can’t drive the car without those things legally, which he finds upsetting. 😂
"..but judge, my plate was covered. That officer had no right to pull me over. He didnt even know who i was !..."
🤣
Somebody needs an attorney so he can be told to stop confessing to additional civil infractions like obscured plates.
Why can't people take responsibility for just having a driving licence & insurance like a normal person. How are all these people incapable of understanding you need to have a valid DL to drive a car. Do these people not understand basic English to read these things.
I live in VA…he coulda been obeying all traffic laws in his custom Audi but that license plate cover would’ve got him stopped.
He made me feel like he was just HEARING Judge Simpson and not LISTENING because I don’t know what more could’ve been said about what happened.
Talking about costing 3 grand…I can guarantee he put more than that into his custom Audi he made sure everyone heard. Now its sitting in an impound lot and only God knows what has happened to it.
And it’s AW’dee not OW’dee 🙄.
Just like with Addidas-it’s Ahdee-Dhasss. Not A-Dee-Das…. Adolph (Adi) Dass probably still rolling in his grave. Rudolph (Rudi) Dass isn’t, he named his shoes Puma. 🤣
@@FollowingfromafarBooth-jz4jq Absolutely 😉
Poor judge Simpson trying to cut this guy a break and helping him to understand what they guy did wrong. To me, he just didn't have a license period. As judge explained, e ery 4 years he needed to get his driver's license renewed. Even if he lost his wallet, you just get a replacement license, not an ID. The renewal still stays at 4 years. I smell Sovereign Citizen.
Or the aroma of a person whose driving privileges were suspended or revoked and weren’t getting a reissued or renewed DL at all. If he had traffic tickets due and failed to pay them, the state can suspend his DL until payment is resolved.
This guy is acting like the cop has a scanner that scans the plate.
Many do have plate readers installed on patrol vehicles. Parking enforcement has plate readers. Interstates have plate readers. Toll booths have plate readers. It’s not new nor is it illegal for law enforcement or other authorized government agencies. 🤦♀️
Right? Does he think even though the cop sees the letters, he can't just type them into his computer rather than scan them with a device?
@@FollowingfromafarBooth-jz4jq my point was the guy is too dense to realize the cop could just LOOK at the plate and run it, no need for a reader.
WHAT A LIAR 😅

This guy isn't too sharp.
That brain is whisker smooth! 😂
He's on his way to becoming a professional VICTIM! Sad! Thanks CourtCamTV.. you're one of my favs!❤
This guy is a sovcit or whatever they call themselves. I have seen him before and recognize his face and voice.
It takes a special person to not understand the difference between a state ID and a drivers license and more importantly which they are in possession of.
Harris is haunting Judge Simpson.
Probably for the rest of his career. He will end up getting a bunch of stuff like this and rubbing the skin off of his temples when they show up in court. And then on deaths door, his last words to his family from the pillow will be him yelling, "YOU DIDN'T HAVE A LICENSE! ITWAS AN ID.".......... (He probably has a LARGE bottle of extra-strength Tylenol or similar, in his office.)
Attitude Princess is mad because he got caught, despite covering his car plates.
Why didn't judge Simpson tell him it's illegal to cover your plate?
Everyone around this guy is " making errors" and calling HR. He's cursed! He's been robbed, lost his license. Cursed!!
He's driving sround with his plate covered over? Thinks its okay?
He pulled him over because his plate was covered.
I'm so sorry Judge Simpson put in all that effort to explain the situation to the defendant and he utterly failed to take any of it in. He just kept on arguing.
Some people don't want to be helped. They just want to whine.
I think he is a sovereign citizen! No license, no plates and plate cover!😊
I'm 10 minutes into this video and I'M losing patience with this whole thing! I don't know what Judge Simpson is getting to!
Radar is amazing they know your information before you even pass the cop
Problem #1 he had neither a valid LICENSE or ID. That's entirely on him. Problem #2 obscuring your plate is illegal. Curious about his statement he has a "custom Audi" that he can't afford to get out of impound while also having $$ to try and sue. As Simpson says, "Good luck with that."
0:46 Fiteen minnit? That’s a long time.
Probably takes him longer than that to take a dump.
It’s always “they” or “them”. The dreaded and unconfirmable unknown party that is the real cause of his demise. I hear those words and have a big eye roll
I know, if I was genuinely in trouble like that and an error was made, I would have the name of who told me that it was an error, the date and approximate time etc to provide. I wouldn't just go to court and say ""somebody"". That is like "the dog ate my homework. I am sure "somebody" (whoever they are) gets alot of eye rolls from alot of people.
$3000 to get the car back? Holy crap!
Tow fees can be in the hundreds, then add daily lot fees-$3000.00 is easy to get to. Especially if the vehicle can not by law be released without current registration and insurance. Even if that’s corrected, the vehicle won’t be released unless an individual with a valid DL is present-the impound lot will verify that. If he got it current with registration and insurance, some impound lots will release the vehicle if it’s being towed by a licensed tow company to a location provided by the owner. The tow company gets held to that, they have to verify where they dropped the vehicle at. That stops the vehicle getting towed off the lot and dropped half a block away to be driven off by the unlicensed owner.
@@FollowingfromafarBooth-jz4jq The system truly Fs the poor.
How? $50 a day n tow fee n he said he's linked around 2 months. I'd charge him more for being lazy n dumb.
He did state he corrected the lack of current registration and lack of insurance. He still can’t drive it off the impound lot without paying tow and storage fees, he has no DL ( hasn’t for years )-if he brought an adult with a valid DL, pay the fees and the vehicle could be driven away by the accompanying valid driver. He’s twiddled his thumbs thinking the fees will be reversed from his plea. Nope.
If your car ever gets towed try to get it out of impound as fast as you can or it gets really expensive really fast.
My license was extended for a year during the plague.
If this guy is such a stand up guy how come his ID was expired? He didn't have a valid anything and tries to play like he's innocent.
Dude, the judge is explaining it to you, just get off your high horse and listen to him!
Fun fact were I live you can have both a state ID and DL. If you ever had a DL the number on your state ID will be the same as your DL number
Which falls fully under the latitude states have for issuance of ID or DL documents. As each state has latitude for requiring a minor be 16 years old to be issued a DL, another state can require the minor be 17 years old to be issued a DL. One state can allow both DL and ID, another as Michigan chooses-one or the other. Texas allows ( maybe no longer ) 14 year olds to operate farm equipment like a tractor on private property. That teenager crossing over some dusty dirt county road from one field to another doesn’t get hassled.
Nothing necessary to drive so his car should not have been impounded? Young man a day late and a dollar short. Letting car languish going costs plenty in a tow yard.
If this guy got his wallet or possession stolen and his license was one of the stolen items, why would he go to the secretary of state to get a state ID when he probably wanted to replace his license. He went to the DMV to get his license, so why would he go to the secretary of state to replace his license? This guy isn't the brightest bulb.
In Michigan, the Secretary of State is the issuing entity for DL and state ID. In Florida it’s the Department of Revenue. In California it’s the Department of Motor Vehicles. Each state has their own rules.
That’s not the cops fault, but I didn’t know you couldn’t have an id and a drivers license, good to know.
Karma
Well, I don’t know what you’re talking about with your license plate, buddy that’s illegal. I don’t care what state you’re in.
What an absolute dork! Admitting to the judge he’s trying to hide his plates (which is already illegal) but before that, trying to argue probable cause. Dude is not a victim and certainly not very smart.
Life is tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.
This might be a dumb question, but if he had his plate covered. How can the officer know before the stop who he is if he wasn't able to run his plates?
I am only guessing here. He might have bought something over the internet, claiming it beats speed cameras and other police scanners.
It's possible the thing didn't work. A long time ago, I watched a Myth Buster's episode in which they tested these tricks. From memory, they were mostly hogwash.
yea
this guy was claiming that he can "reveal" his plate when he chooses to.
something is off about his nonsense story
All I’m able to visualize is the old “Green Hornet” tv show from the’60s. The rear plate was on a spindle-it would rotate to another plate. Where’s Kato when you need him?
This kid knew what he did but after he made his plea agreement and tried to go get his car bk he found out that he had to pay 3k to get his car out because he was admitting fault and he would hv to pay to get his car bk. If he gets charges dropped or can win his case he probably won’t hv to pay that much to get his car out
Why would u admit to hiding ur license plate. Isn’t that a charge?
It’s a ticket waiting to happen. He realized it after a moment and avoided saying it again. He won’t answer why he never went to the Secretary of State and applied for a reissue of a drivers license. He’s been without a DL since 2016-he knows he has something preventing him from getting a current DL. He’s spent a bucket of money customizing an Audi, should have dropped some of that on getting a DL.
So he covered up his plates on purpose. Isn't that illegal
Why is his plate covered?? He admits that and that alone is illegal!!! Charge him for that officer!! Why do you want to sue a police officer for knowing your plate despite you covering up? You are going to fregg to my admit you coveted your plate which released the cop from you suing him for not seeing it!! What a dummy! Yes judge is right. He's angry the cop saw Gus plate that he paid extra so good cs t see it! Why is Michigan selling plates you can cover up? Not where I live! No wonder Michigan is infested with sov citizen!!
Michigan doesn’t issue plates that are not in compliance with DOT etc. Though states have latitude, some require front and rear plates, others only rear plates as an example. No state issues a plate with the capability of being unreadable to scanners. It requires a deliberate act by the person of obtaining a device and installing that device to supposedly obscure the plate from being read by a scanner. That in of itself is a violation. Say you do it. You then drive to the grocery store and part in the store’s lot. A cop goes to the grocery store to get a deli sandwich. The cop notices your vehicle has a device mounted over the plate in an attempt to obscure the plate. The cop sits in their patrol vehicle and watches the vehicle. You stroll out, get in your car and drive out of the lot onto a public road. The cop has the cause for a legal stop. You’re stupid and the cop is observant. The end.
Judge Simpson is awesome. not gonna fool him lol
