    Played this heaps, was handed down from my brother. Pulled it apart in grade 4 and extended all the wires to the screen and did all kinds of experiments. Mum got rid of it after leaving home.. thanks mum. Gonna buy it again

    Thanks for posting this. Spent a lot time trying to figure what this game was called from my early childhood. This was most likely my first videogame that I ever played. Coincidentally enough, I also grew up with Scramble's spiritual successor, Gradius. I still love the Gradius series to this day and
    it's pretty cool that it's ancestor roots was my first videogame experience.

    Still got this since I was a kid... my mum had purchased at the time caveman, and I didn't like it, so we went back to toyworld and I saw this and we got it... my scramble logo and print is no more cause I used to scratch it off with my nail ... game still works awesome, they don't make them like they used to!

    One of my favorites. Unfortunately all my childhood handhelds were ruined from using an ac adapter. It was one of those multi voltage selector ones and we were probably using the wrong voltage. But my mother didn't want to keep buying batteries.

    Both I and my brother had one of these games each. We spent hours playing it, and my Dad would steal our games away and play it when we went to bed. In fact, we played the game so much that the batteries would wear out and the sound would slow down until the batteries gave out. Then it was off to beg my mom for more batteries. My Dad never wanted to pay out for the AC adapter on two games. Ah, memories...

    I had the handheld LCD version of this, probably from Grandstand, which was a similar adaptation with a landscape made of big blocks, but wasn't as nice-looking.

    Exactly what kind of AC adaptor should I use on the game?

    • @SVT512
      @SVT512  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quick google search -
      Archer Cat. No. 270-1551 A
      Recoton Model No. AD-10UL
      AC Adapter Requirements:
      Output: 7.5 V DC 200mA
      Plug: 2.1mm ID Coaxial Type
      Tip (Center) Polarity: Negative

      Thanx for the info. I pryed the old red energizer batteries out and put in some duracells and no dice. There's a AC adaptor plug on the side, and I don't wanna plug in the wrong one.
