Apologies for the blurry slides! I decided to release this anyway, because all the information is still valuable.
I've been working with and studying fascia since 2008, and I am still learning new things all the time that amaze me.
The most important "secrets" of fascia is:
Fascia won’t change just because we want it to.
This simple and profound fact is what sent me into the worlds of neuroscience, psychology, quantum physics and spiritual science (the work of Rudolf Steiner) in order to understand what was happening with so many of my clients (and myself).
Fascia is THE most fascinating element of the human organism. It has many secrets to teach us!
Made of more than 70% water (when healthy), fascia is the most abundant tissue in the body, wrapping every nerve ending, every fibril and bundle of muscle tissue, every blood vessel, bone and organ; tendons and ligaments are denser forms of fascia that attach muscle to bone, and bone to bone; the extracellular matrix within the fascial system is the body’s superhighway of communication, transferring and transmitting chemical and sensory messengers from outside and inside the body while bathing every cell in the water needed to sustain life. This fluid matrix our body is housed within can shrink, dehydrate and deform because of injuries, repetitive motion, stress and traumas.
Theoretically, releasing fascia with compression and shearing techniques “should” rehydrate the fascia, bring space and fluidity back, allow blood to flow, free trapped nerves and therefore resolve pain. But if it were that simple we would not have the chronic pain epidemic we do today.
Knowledge of the true nature of pain is necessary to understand why fascia behaves the way it does. Which means we also need to learn about the nervous system, and the relationship between these two elements inside of us.
Over the last 16 years I've learned that:
    Fascia reflects the objective world.
The human nervous system reflects our subjective perception and interpretation of reality.
The objective realm includes - encompasses - the subjective. As soon as the subjective changes, that change will be mirrored by the fascia.
As part of the objective realm or “knowledge field” of the planet, fascia will always reflect planetary and cosmic truth(s) - light, water, magnetism, sound vibrations, thermal energy, chemical elements...they are all intercepted by fascia.
I hope you enjoy this class!

💫I am a tai chi and "internal martial arts'" junkie and these arts can give you the ability to move a person in very unusual ways without using any muscular force ...by manipulating a persons fascia which includes all the tension there within..."my fascia can talk to your fascia" the mysterious "chi" power may very well be the piezoelectric properties in fascia and bone structure alignment. also from a yogic and healing point of view it is incredible how much healing can be done by releasing your own / or another persons fascia/tension. One thing that isnt talked about often is how much the mind can play a role in all of this. You can direct the energetic force through the body or through space by intention from the mind. Thanks a lot for your great vids and contributing so much experience to a new and emerging field. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💫🙏

I would NOT be surprised if all the new studies and research about fascia did not stem from researching the benefits of practices of yoga and Tai chi. Like always, scientists will stamp it "NEW RESEARCH" when fascia exercises have been in practices for ages. People who practice it are in good health and don't have chronic pain. You will notice that many of the people making the videos say, "come to my office for ttreatment." I have not heard any of them say, " practices yoga and Tai chi."

Hi Elisha, wow! Such a great message!! I' m a manual therapist, in practice since 1995 now, upledger, biodynamic CST, fascial stretch therapy, bowen therapy, advanced soft tissue release, am a medical intuitive, and transformation coach. So yeah! All of the above!! One thing that really grabbed my attention years ago when I was studying the physiology of fascia is that it's really kind of got it's own nervous system, and what I've seen with clients and myself is that it's the bridge between consciousness and physiology. I love how you articulated our emotional life is the guardian to accessing it. Also love a quote I've heard many times, "We are wounded in relationship and we are healed in relationship." Bang on sister! Love your channel 💜💜

@@whispersofnaturewithjanisophia Amen! For sure, when I learned that fascia has a neurological function that's considered to be even up to 3 times faster than the dedicated nervous system itself, it started to make sense why as a medical intuitive I could "see and hear" the exact nature of the emotional issues people had that were connected to their symptoms. Esoteric/metaphysical explanations have traditionally been that it's energy, qi, and then some other less quantifiable aspect of consciousness, and that's cool, but I really love that there is a tangible physiological aspect for the metaphysical/quantum relationship between consciousness and matter. There has to be! It's how we are created! :)

@@IntuitiveCoachTheresa Fascinating...!! I had a most beautiful experience with my fascia this week - it felt as if it were acting like a cradle for our whole being.. and with continuous stress this cradle feeling of safety and security can become compromised. Maybe this is the cause of my adrenal fatigue etc. Will explore further!

Hello Elisha, I left some comments under videos a few years back. Everything that I've heard here makes absolute sense to me. My issues got worse, and then worse again through some recent chiropractic interventions. Not pain, but numbness, and I'm certain that it's postural, not neurological. I have a strong sense that when things are adjusted, "corrected", this can lead to a heightened conflict between the adjusted parts and the fascia, as though the two were pulling in different directions. Both biomechanically, I think, and emotionally. Since you feel that relational work is much more valuable than what I can do on my own, my task seems to be a matter of finding someone in my part of Berlin that I can work with. I know that I've been carrying anxiety all of my life, and in older age it seems to have come back again in a new guise. I also seem very sensitive to energy, but won't elaborate on that here. In any case, thank you for saying in a structured way what I pretty well "knew" already, as well as providing some new information.

    • @ElishaCeleste
      @ElishaCeleste  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

the primary teaching in this masterclass is that fascia won't change just because we want it to or perform certain techniques - such as rolfing (or partner fascia release or self fascia release or breathing, or....on and on).
So I would first get curious about WHY you're so bound up and stiff on your left side. Without knowing why, and what is going on in your fascia, nervous system, blood vessels, lymph, and life...it's impossible to know what your body needs. You might be stiff and bound up because of compensations due to prior injuries, or because of trauma, or because of dehydration, or because of a gut issue inhibiting blood flow or nerve enervation to the left side...that's why I developed my mapping methodology, to take the guesswork out so we could be strategic in our actions.

Lyme+ causes myalgia, and I was getting stuff necks, sore throats, and my entire left side wouldn’t move after an upper cervical adjustment. Still, after being in treatment for 18 months, I still have leg pain and muscle weakness, that is unusual. For instance, I used a hand shovel to weed, a couple weeks ago that left my hand hurting for 2 days. Just a thought, but it’s worth looking into, IF you can find a Lyme-literate practitioner.

I also appreciate that despite my own very real inadequacies and deeply rooted fears of public ridicule and judgment, I am doing my best to show up and offer something to the world that could be helpful.
Pretty soon you won't have to bother with real humans like me because we will have AI - ones that looks like real humans but aren't - teaching us all about fascia (and everything else). One way to tell the difference between an AI and a human is that human beings are fallible, we have our deficiencies and our fears, and those mistakes and fumbles and personality quirks are what make us human.
