You probably sick of ur video as you upload after all that editing time, it but i can assure you many people are enjoying and appreciate your effort and content. Thank you.
I love the way you repurpose things instead of just throwing it away. One day Diego, that little cabin of yours is going to be so enchanting, the Lovely Julia won't be able to resist living there.
I have become an avid follower. It,s obvious to me you are a kind person , a good neighbor ,competent and very neat, that makes you a great example to follow. My wish for you is good health, happiness and prosperity for the rest of your time on earth. I say this sincerely, it,s people like you that makes the world a better place.
I have to say you do an awesome job, such a perfectionist and cleaning up afterwards and saving reusable materials so they don't end up in a landfill. Love it
Very nice Diego. You are going to have a beautiful property when it is all finished. Keep helping your neighbors, it will be returned some day. I like your videos and by the way, your carpentry skills are visibly ameliorating a lot.
Hello Diego ! I think to prevent rot, and your siding deteriorating, installing gutters whould be a great addition to the cabin. With long extentions at the bottom all the water will be deverted from the house, and help it to stay dry !
I am enjoying your videos immensely. I live in the mid north of South Australia and this video is being seen only 2 hours after you have uploaded it. The tips etc I am taking on board and recommending you to my family. Have a wonderful day
I love the Ax to remove the old caulk that’s something I would do😂, also love replacing the miter cuts with butt joint on the window trim more appropriate for the “cabin”
Your videos are getting better and better Diego, also i thought that slow mo replay was hilarious, I’m enjoying everything you send our way and can’t wait to see how things go with neighbor Al! 😊
Probably the correct tool, though the axe seems quite effective, would be a 3 or 4 inch paint scrapper. And a pair of vise grips would be a help in removing the nails.
love the metal roof, and smoke coming out stack is comforting! curious about installing windows with opening at top, instead of bottom? possibly more secure from break ins? looks great, and cleaning up as you went along was fabulous. Thanks
Diego, time to buy a multi oscillating tool. Makita battery one works fine, 12v Milwaukee is great as well. Helps with tight spaces and trimming damaged nail heads
I dig the gypsy hoodie. You a moto guy or just a fan of the pod? Never mind. Just saw the Lorettas regional hoodie now. lol Pretty sick. Even bigger fan now.
I know very little about how to accomplish the projects you take on. But it seems as though you have plenty of expert advice. (Just learned what stickers are.) I find your content peaceful and entertaining. You might enjoy some of the videos from My Self Reliance. He built a log cabin and other buildings in Ontario by himself using mostly hand tools. Stay safe and thank you for your content.
You didn't overfill the gaps, I think you might have under filled some spots especially at the top. When you stick the straw all the way in and they puff out it means they filled the gap entirely, so if they don't puff out there is a chance you have voids where cold air can just blast through. Also, I suggest wood putty to fill the screw holes, they don't shrink like caulk and they sand nice and smooth. Overall, excellent work man! I'm thoroughly enjoying your content.
Just a little something I learned the hard way, lumber on your dash close to the windshield is not a good idea. Wind shields will shatter by the simple bump against it.
Your trapping moisture inside your window. The bottom flashing tape should be open to allow moisture a way to escape. Great video though. You work ethic is impressive!
Do you still ride dirt bikes? Noticed your hoodys in last couple videos the nw qualy one and up the gypsy gang!! 🤙🤙 Next time you get light timber remember you have a roof rack instead of having them through your cab. Keep up the work 👏👏
I have a question. I'm not finished with the video but wanted to ask it before I forgot. How did you meet "neighbor Al"? You said he lives closer to town than you do which expressed there is a good amount of physical distance between the 2 of you, which got me thinking about it.
Long story short... I used to work in excavation. We did a job for Al's next door neighbor Patrick. Patrick introduced us and came up with the idea of helping rebuild his water wheel together. The rest is history 🙂. In the next video of the "Al's Life Story" series, we'll likely talk more about it in detail.
Not being a nagging viewer... But you need peel-stick flashing and caulking before finishing installing Windows. Sealing them very good will help with HVAC during weather, not to mention bugs getting in and rot.
I would not have done anything different when installing the new windows, You did great. Something to consider.. replace that rear slider door with a nice vinyl frame one. I see the deck is torn out, got a spring/summer project coming with that.

I forgot to say thanks for helping Al it’s good to have a friend,he will appreciate what you did.

Keep an eye out for an oscillating saw when it's in your budget. It makes those tight cuts a lot easier. Great video!

not putting caulkin on the bottom is the right way to go! your assumption about water getting stuck is correct. nice job :)

I love your videos, sending good vibes from the land down under
Keep on trucking along sir.
I am redoing my House on wheels windows too.
Sucks when I'm on a budget.
O well.
Looks like you could really use one of those oscillating multi-tools. They're really useful for cuts like the top of that window.
My Dad was a carpenter and I loved to watch him. I very much enjoy watching you do it too. My granddaughter builds things as well.
Absolutely love your content man
Awesome job DIEGO , always excited to see your Monday morning uploads
Your doing and amazing job fixing up your cabin.
It's call a weep hole Diego, great job on all your projects, more people need to know about Weep holes

Love your videos! Waiting for them every week
Great editing, audio, and intro. I like how you keep your work space tidy. Overall, it's a brilliant video.🎉

those rooms will feel much warmer now, single pane windows lose an incredible amount of heat

Windows if you build a greenhouse... love your videos
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Great job, Jack, RI, USA
Nice job, Diego!
Good job Diego! It’s definitely harder than you made it look, we’re on window # 3 being replaced
Good job on the windows 😊😊
Awsome work, congrats!
Looks good.
Great job installing the new windows.
A osiclator tool is a mist have tool if do more remodel. Good windows will make the cabin nicer in the winter.
Good job!
Very good work, i like it
you are spot on about not caulking the bottom- don't do it- Tom Silva learned me
Taught me, am sorry for the correction 🙏
Another great video Sir. The only thing better would be 2 a week even if on the shorter side. Be safe and be careful
Well done Diego😊
Looks great awesome video
Ps ,lovely job youv done there , 👍
Gr8 job Diego. So proud of u.
Peel and stick flashing tape before installation!
I didn't notice caulking or weather tape.
Thanks for the video.

Diego 🙏 love your hoodie ❤️

You need to get a makita multi tool its a game changer, love the videos..
Looking good
Money shot at 24:00, great work
Looks good!
If you want to paint over caulk, use acrylic instead of normal silicone. Otherwise it may flake off.
😎👍 Nice Job.

Great vid 👍 💪
Man we need more videos
Windows look good, are you planning on installing rain gutters as well? 🇺🇸
Hey diego do you have video or plan of the table/shelf that u have in living space?
You should get chickens and build a koop😊
If you also put a kerf cut or drip cut along the bottom of the sill that will help divert the water away from your house.
If you don't do ya don't learn, nice job.
add calking to the face of the window on the outside of the window, the calking will stick to the window.
You have a nice ladder.
Your awesome!
Still amazed, that here in Europe, we're on Triple glazed windows and the US still looks like single panes...
Ps you need to put air vents in each room .😊👍
4:55 Thanks for the videos. Are you burning wet wood or something? that smoke should be clear by now :)
Hi Diego, is there any particular reason why you put your ladder upside-down?
Back Prime all your Caulking and then Finish Coat
Shutters would look really nice.
Agree gutters would look nice. However, the problem is when you have an all natural setting with trees you’re constantly cleaning gutters.
@@haroldholland1316 LOL… shutters not gutters
@@pathardin7580 oops thxs! have to forgive this old 81 yr old man can’t read or see LOL.
You forgot the rubber sealant tape on top of the wood frame
Can I ask how why you didn't mill your own trim,
I didn't see you use any silicone around the windows to seal it
Use masking tape when cocking and you will be a professional !
i think you forgot the sticky water seal
Ice and water flashing/tape/seal if it's his house windows definitely, garage not necessary.
The black tape doesn't look right, but will probably still work, just because of the overhang tho.
I have a question. I'm not finished with the video but wanted to ask it before I forgot. How did you meet "neighbor Al"? You said he lives closer to town than you do which expressed there is a good amount of physical distance between the 2 of you, which got me thinking about it.

Just a quick question Do I spy a wedding ring in today’s video? If so congratulations!!! ❤🎉
Not being a nagging viewer... But you need peel-stick flashing and caulking before finishing installing Windows. Sealing them very good will help with HVAC during weather, not to mention bugs getting in and rot.
I know you installed it after the window. So I see nothing wrong with any of it. You did a great job.
The sticky seal had to go on the inside frame
Well an axe different. But it did the job lol lol 🎉
No tape or caulk ?
I would not have done anything different when installing the new windows, You did great. Something to consider.. replace that rear slider door with a nice vinyl frame one. I see the deck is torn out, got a spring/summer project coming with that.
Congratulations America it's gonna be a beautiful 4 years
