This video took nearly 60 hours of work to make, so giving my channel some support would be very much appreciated. DDR used Daytripper, BC used Quacker, RR used Spear, RR NU used Wario Bike, and rYF used Bullet Bike.
the fact that Justin gets nominated for TASer of the year and has been nominated for RTA player of the year before is crazy. seriously one of the best players overall

Was it because you wanted to focus on school/studies? If you don't want to say anything, then that's perfectly fine, and I wish you all the best :)
@@EjayB Yeah, thanks! it was because i was TASing like 5-7 hour per day, and it was too much. I was not working on piano a lot anymore, and not doing my other hobbies, so me and my parents decided to quit it.
God, MKWii TASes never cease being absolute eye candy at every turn. So glad to hear about how awesome this year has been for it (especially as someone who can't keep up with everything)
I highly recommend joining the MKWii TAS Discord, because we have a role that gets pinged every time a new BKT is uploaded (usually a few times a month)

2024 was like the least successful April fools year for quite a while soooooo (Considering maybe doing some smaller awards that missed out for the decade TAS awards in 2030 if I’m still around like April fools TASes, TAFs, Kart TASes, etc)
This has been quite an amazing year from the perspective of someone outside the TAS community. I don't think I've checked mkwtas more often and have been blown out of my seat more often. (Genuinely, I fell out of my seat for one or two). No doubt this was due to the amazing work from all you amazing TASers out there! Amazing work everyone, you truly deserve it. I like to think back to the days of TAF's and how their spirit somehow live on into finding the most absurd strategies that somehow are also the fastest. Honestly, some flaps and even 3laps were more absurd than just about any TAF I'd watched back then. If 2024 is anything like 2023 then I'll need to grab my popcorn and hold on tight. To see a game I grew up with and played for so long still have the most vibrant community of any game I keep up to date with is surreal, and I couldn't ask for more. Congratulations to everyone who won an award, and congratulations to those even if they didn't for such an amazing experience. I can't wait to see how 2024 shapes up! Also RAHH Monster I can't describe how many times I'd seen your name this year. Incredible.

I admittedly mostly just really wanna find what song is used at 22:15... yet in a more endearing light, this was genuinely one of the most well put together TAS accomplishment videos I've seen in gaming period, you did an absolutely phenomenal job editing this and I am so beyond proud of this community

It takes a while because I want to put together a full document of all credits, and that takes a while to compile, since I have to go back and find all the clips I used again. That music in particular is from Donkey Kong country: tropical freeze and it’s mangrove cave underwater
Reo* drift is a technique named after the TASer Reo where you hop to drift one direction but then bounce and slip drift in the other direction in quick succession. A ski drift is exactly the same thing as a Reo drift but it was just made up by ArcIntel. A lot of names for certain techniques were made up by Arc and should not be considered official
