As a Brit, can I correct you. The currency of the UK is the Pound Sterling. It is not the Great British Pound. Yes, I know that some comparative lists of world currencies refer to GBP, but I promise you that no British person refers to the currency as Great British Pounds. I understand why non-British people might believe, from seeing the letters GBP on international currency lists, that Great British Pounds is the formal name of the currency. It isn't. You would be laughed at for calling it that. Just say Pounds.
I'm traveling to london in 2 weeks I'm so nervous it's the first time me leaving my hometown and I think London is a good beginning, hope I'll enjoy my visit
Re: renting a car, when I visited the UK, I rented a car for 2 weeks, but on the days I went into London, I stayed at a motel outside the city, and I parked at the outskirts and took the tube into the city. It was well worth not having to drive or pay for accommodation in London.
With reference to the plugs/sockets, i think it should be mentioned that the voltage in England is 230/240 volts, so do make sure if you come with a charger that it will take a higher input voltage. or you could end up with a melted blob of metal and plastic!
I'm binge watching your London videos and they are so good! Thank you for the valuable tips. I'll be traveling to London this summer (and also traveling solo for the first time) and your channel is being really useful! Thanks ❤️🙏
A lot of US health plans, like Kaiser, will reimburse emergency medical expenses abroad, but research it before you leave. With Kaiser, for example, you need to get receipts for the local services and/or have the doctor sign a form. Find out what must be done on the spot, it might be impossible to get reimbursed after returning home if you didn’t follow the procedure.
Forget everything below because the most important thing to remember when you're walking around London ( and also the rest of the UK ) and crossing roads is to ALL WAYS TO LOOK RIGHT before crossing

To be pedantic it is not the greater British pound, but the pound sterling. Sterling is also used to describe the purity of precious metals. Incidentally the name of the country, Great Britain, is not some Victorian boast about how wonderful the country is, but a contraction of the original name. When the kingdoms of England and Scotland joined together, the new country was called Greater Britain.
Excellent tips! It's such a beautiful and incredible city, but can be a culture shock! My favourite season is springtime, not too hot, and all the colours are coming out.
Hey, I recently came across your content and absolutely loved it... (especially the London living expenses video as I could relate to it) hoping to see you someday in London 😊
Really enjoyed your London travel trip ideas. As for your food/restaurant I highly recommend Giuseppe’s Restaurante Italiano. We were there in 2018 & went to Giuseppe’s 3 times. Great food and amazing host.
Great video, i have and overnight lay over flight in london and trying to see how i can take advantage of that. What time does afternoon tea start and finish there? Any recommendations
Do you have a video on restaurants in London? I thought maybe breakdown by category; pizza, Thai, burgers, Indian, pubs; fish and chips, Sunday Roast, Chinese, Mexican, etc. thanks!

Do you have any recommendations on the best way to get from London (Waterloo area) to Southampton? We're going with a group and was thinking about renting a shuttle or something, but it seems like maybe the train is better? Can't really get concrete advice though.
The train is the best option and the cheapest. It is also the best, safest, cheapest and fastest way to travel anywhere in London a in the UK. There are fast trains from Waterloo to Southampton. Check the information board at the station for train times and number of stops
Disagree on your seasonal comments. January and February can be horrendous weather wise. April and May are good, the latter before the school holidays and the longer days. June can be lovely.
Ohh lovely! I don’t currently have the expertise to make that video but if I end up travelling around Egypt extensively I’d definitely consider making one ☺️
Regarding your comment about taxis being expensive! Have you considered the reason? We HAVE to drive a purpose built wheelchair accessible vehicle that cost £70,000 !! We also have to spend at least 4 years doing the knowledge, without pay ! I just don’t understand how people in London can spend £12 for a bottle of beer without a care and then begrudge spending £20 for a safe professional drive home ? I think you should have also mentioned that Uber ect are sometimes MORE expensive when they are surging!!
Hello everybody. Is there any ways to travel to London and learn English at the same time? It would be better if I could speak English fluently, I know. But I really want to expand my vocabulary and have an experience of speaking and so on. And also is it a real problem if I have a terrible accent?
Great video, thank you! Does anybody know, if I got an Oyster Card, do I need a Hop-on-Hop-off bus to get to all the important sightseeings? Because you mentioned the 24 line of the bus, is it necessary to buy a Hop-on-Hop-off then? :)
