Chuck is one of my favorites and we just hosted him for a small guns class, we had 20 ladies on the first day and a mixed group of about 24 folks on the 2nd day!!! Excellent information and he is a wealth of knowledge!! I always enjoy learning from him. This was a great conversation and thanks for having him on your modcast.

Great topic, Great information presentation as usual by Chuck. Paired perfectly with Matt's now classic curated list of topic focused questions that he already knows the answer, asked just for checking off all the boxes of important conversation points... 😂👍 Matt is 100% right about this becoming a perfect source video for referring people towards. Already bookmarked.👍I have a short video already bookmarked that covers the bare minimum as far as a buying/inert training/carry options for sending to the completely uninitiated people that would see this video run time, not watch, and instead just buy something convenient but useless, all while not even knowing how to employ it... All instead of simply spending 126 minutes learning invaluable information FOR FREE by watching this video. 🤦‍♂️ Thankfully this is an excellent video for people already into self defense, non and less lethal options, along with the effectiveness and legality of these products... Thanks again guys.

He really is cheap and easy. When he says he wants to make good people competent and resilient, that's 100%.

    Stream is superior.

Are you just talking nozzles or canister formula? aka regular formula spray with a smaller diameter sometimes longer nozzle to get the stream, or a gel formula? (Which in sabre red gel flavor also uses a small diameter nozzle, sometimes also longer) I actually just pulled the small gel nozzle insert out of a Sabre red "3 in 1 gel spray, glass breaker, seat belt cutter" keychain unit and swapped it for regular sabre red spray mix, then put the gel canister in a standard short nozzle dispenser just to do some backyard science about how each type changes in throw and dispersion, because the 3 in 1 automotive safety multi-tool is a great concept, especially for a Keychain or visor unit but gel is the only commonly available formula in that design... So I'm going to do the swap tests in the next few days for science! (I am not a scientist, and I don't know if this experiment is worth repeating yet...) 😂 If that 3 in 1 had a size larger canister, visor/pocket clip, a reusable "breakaway" style keychain clip and classic Sabre red mix it would be near perfection... 🤔

Used pepper spray on brown bear twice. Works very well. Was also carrying a 44 mag. Thankfully didn’t have to use it.

great insight on using wasp spray; what is your feedback on bear spray? I see it commonly sold in stores geared towards outdoor activities. Great work from you both!

This needs to make its way through the fire arm community. We allll are in the same page about carry a gun and know how to use it. But carrying spray, using other tools for other problems. Is so valuable. And the lack of those things in common place in the community is exactly why the perception towards 2a folks is “trigger happy sociopaths” because we don’t help our self as a community in that regard. Like at all.

The sheriff at the local sheriff's department decided to take OC away from his deputies and wont allow them to carry it as they dont use it enough.

I slammed my pom mk3 in my truck door by accident and almost gas chambered myself.

12:45 ironically, one of the first uses of one in aggression was by the New York times during the draft riots of the civil war. That's a tidbit I like you to dredge up anytime they get too smug with their op-eds regarding gun control.

Fox Labs in their One Point Four (1.4% MCC) any experience with that?

I've heard good things about it. I do have experience with Sabre red and I'm a Sabre instructor. Sabre red Crossfire is what law enforcement is carrying. Its a very popular product worldwide. It's very effective and tired from any angle.
