Congratulations, now everyone can hear what you're doing in your bedroom from the hallway.

Not really. It doesn't seem to increase the sound level. The cracks around and under the door seems to be the majority of the sound passing through in most of my room that have these RAPs.

@@KG12KG I tested it before and after. Conversations went from being muffled to clearly understandable from same distance.

Does air flow freely between rooms? Does the honeycomb restrict airflow at all?

I have these. The honeycomb does restrict the airflow slightly, but that helps dampen any room sounds and light. Basically, when calculating the return path square inches required, you may want to go to the next size. If your calcs require a 14x6, you might consider a 14x8, for example.

    What door doesn't have a solid 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 header over it ?

Any tips on how to separate the 2 parts of the sheet metal frame upon unpacking? I've spent an hour and used every tool in the box.

Hi Margie, if you're having trouble getting the retrofit RAP apart we suggest returning it for a replacement. Please call your place of purchase to replace your RAP. It should be a snug fit but you should not have to struggle to get it apart.

Same problem here. Got the 12x12, and it's made of a single piece of metal that cannot be installed as seen in this video.
