- Offroading can be tricky at the best of times, but happens when i have to try and complete and offroad trail while random bits of my vehicle will fail every 10 seconds.

17:50 you actually just put it in rwd when you detatch the transfercase, but since your rear driveshaft is broken, it does not transfer any power to the rear wheels

The valance is some form of bed protector, according to Google. So it's, like, the floor of the cargo space I think? Or some of the siding? It's mostly cosmetic. Love the BeamNG content.
I notice this system _really_ doesn't like the lighting - it broke that left-most roof spotlight three times, I think, and I'm pretty sure it hit both tailights and both headlights 2-3 times each. Fortunately the engine, complex as it may be, seems to be considered one part.
i think the valence is part of the front bodywork, like the grille area

In-game, it it's the part in-between the bumper and the grill/headlights.
in real life the valance is the body work under the front bumper were like your fog lights are.

I remember looking through your channel several weeks ago, looking for beamng videos. Noticed you didn't have many and was a little dissappointed.
So I'm glad to see more of this kind of content recently. I enjoy Neilogical but he's not very skilled at the game, he's more of just a commentator. I think you could definitely see some success here.
That run with the Roamer was *SO* tense!!
Valance surrounds the grill, running boards are under the doors (sometimes they're only cosmetic but most of the time they are the steps you use to enter the vehicle)
If you wonder what the back light is, it's the rear glass.
Cosmetic running boards are not running boards, they're skirts.

@@winumoritribe8425 I simplified the explanation for him and some manufacturers will still refer to the "skirts" as running boards.
@@jwalster9412 Then it's not a skirt, because it has a function. to step up to.and i'm not talking about skirts with vertical aero.
Oh, and if you send me a link to some cheapo chinese crap marketed as a "Cosmetic running board"... just don't. They want you to buy a running board that they can claim isn't "marketed as structurally durable" or some bull, hoping people won't read the fine print.

BeamNG Drive has to be one of the most interesting, well-made & underrated driving sims around IMHO. It's come a very long way since its' humble beginnings.
Wish my old toaster PC could run it - maybe one day, when I can scrape together enough cash for an upgrade :)

I have a feeling the enginebaycrap was a programmer giving up on names and just gave that name to a bunch of random little things
I'd describe things such as engine covers and the hundreds of clips designed just to make things look tidy but make any job take 10 times longer as 'engine bay crap'

I have driven off road in a few manual LR Discoverys and Range Rovers and an auto Freelander and Range Rover, I prefer the auto but that is to concentrate more on driving instead of making sure you are in the right gear, the electronics know what gear you want most of he time, the racing trucks I go to watch are mostly auto but some are manual
P.S. low range is always better off road
You should do this without the failures but dumb vehicles. That new supercar's off-road variant, muscle cars with off-road tyres and lifted suspension, etc.
RunningBoards= thing you step on to get in. engine accessories= everything driven off the motor ie alt,waterpump,steeringpump...
@FailRace Should do the random part failure with the multiplayer and run a few races with the others just for fun and let us watch the carnage.

just an fyi, vehicles with tranfer cases are either rwd or awd, there is not a dedicated fwd by using the selector near the start switch

ah yes, the engine bay crap. good to see they sue the correct name for sh*t that can go wrong in the game.
Im sure a trick to this is using a car with as much accessories attached as possible. Its a less chance of serious parets getting damages when there are so many other non important things on the car. Like the Van and Roma? ..
It likes to target bodywork, since there's so many little pieces, so using one of the more complex, detailed vehicles would help as well. I noticed something listed as damage dealt to 'frame_heavy' at one point, so it can deform the internal structure, but most cars' frames will take at least a couple hits to single beams to really feel it. Honestly the big issue is if it just removes one of your wheels, or, in some cases, abruptly snaps your drivetrain or steering.
