You don't know what it's like to land in Rio on a sunny day with the plane passing by the Sugar Loaf, listening to Children Say or I Sleep on My Heart! Wonderful!
I've loved this band since the first time I heard them in 1982... seen them countless times... I adore all the early jazz-funk stuff, the instrumentals and so on, but I think this is probably my favourite song of all.
I love the earlier stuff- loved Brit Funk etc anyway ( 10 year older Brother)but really got into them about 86 as a 12/ 13 year old..,but I think stuff like this does show Their full scope. I know EVERYONE says it about EVERYONE on here but this lot are genuinely underated. Still great live now.❤
Because he's very very very very good... :) seriously though, he was a drummer first (check out his solo album 'Influences' so hear what an excellent drummer he is) so he's got the separation between limbs thing that drummers do, but instead of arms and legs operating totally independently he's doing hands and voice. Either that or he's an alien.
Level 42 had such a great run of songs on their Polydor & RCA albums, then they seemed to dry up. But it's better to be past ones prime than to have never had a prime. This song, from the group's "Forever Now" album, is another gem.
Phil Gould brought some of the original glance of L42 back with Forever Now album... After Running in the family and the Gould bros left it was never the same. Guaranteed was mediocre. Love in a peaceful world is by far the best track on the Forever Now album.
Been a fan since 1981, this is a beautiful song
One of their greatest & most complete compositions
Legends will never fade
1994 - oh boy this album was so important to me- and this song was the best on it. The best xxxx
Yes James , what album was it ?? I got it & love it

LOVE this song, one of their best. Love the lead vocals of Mark and Mike mixed for verse/chorus.
How good was that performance....
The Best Ever. Theyve done everything. ❤❤❤
Love this song. Should have charted higher.

4:32 was that a blip in the video or did the drummer miss a beat? 😬
