This was for the Olympics 1992 but Freddie died later that year 1991. They became amazing friends. She’s a famous Spanish opera singer now in heaven with Freddie

Freddie was very proud of the work he did with her, & she felt the same about him.
She was his idol & Freddie wrote this song as a tribute to the first time they met.
You smiled the whole way through.

I just love it when a younger generation find our darling Freddie, he was incredible, unique, unparalleled and could sing everything from rock to ballads and everything in between. I was there at their last ever concert at Knebworth in ‘86, he had all 140,000+ of us mesmerised by his presence, I miss him so much.

Freddie always loved the opera and you can see its influence on him from early on, Bohemian Rhapsody for one. It had all the things Freddie loved, costumes, dramatics, and music. He also enjoyed ballet was even in a ballet performance. He said they thought he could dance but he couldn't take direction but just strutted around on stage. So in the ballet he said they mostly carried him around. 😁 As someone said Freddie and Monsarrat became good friends. She brought him a lot of joy by doing the album with him. They told them both not to try to change their style of singing, but just fuse rock and opera.
Loved your reaction. This really does make the heart soar. Thanks for doing this performance.

She and Freddie wrote this song for the 92 olympics in Barcelona Spain, sadly Freddie passed in 1991. If you bring up that olympics that year you will see they had Freddie on big screen doing this song along with with monesy , as. Freddie called her, still sharing this moment with her even after death some other songs in this vein is. How can I go on. The golden boy. Guide me home, which I love. Death on two legs was Freddie’s , way of getting back at his former manager for ripping off the band when they were basically poor and he was living high on their creations. Please do in my defense. I see a lot of memories ,both happy and sad . You will be glad you did 🎧🎙

Freddie loved opera and Montserrat was his favorite singer (she was the number 1 operatic soprano in the world at the time). As it turns out, she loved Freddie's voice and his music. He wrote this music with a collaborator for he and Montserrat to sing. Freddie initially just wanted to do a song with her but then she suggested they do an album. Freddie gulped, he wasn't sure he was up to the task but as we all can see, he nailed it. This entire album is amazing. Her voice was amazing! Thank you for your reaction.

👏👏👏This was the first crossover between a rock singer and an opera diva in the history. Montserrat mentioned, that it was a great service towards the people who never listend to opera before, because their collaboration definitely increased the popularity of this genre. Freddie was not a simple rock star having a good voice, but he was the music. Freddie and his friend Mike Moran (a brilliant pianist, the conductor is this video) composed 7 songs to the album.
Pls, check out the Golden Boy at La Nit 88.

"Just WOW!" Absolutely!! This makes the heart and mind soar. RIP Freddie and Montserrat, they joined two seemingly opposite genres through sheer respect and admiration, and in a short amount of time friendship and love...and phenomenal music and performances. Scrub, thumbs up and respect to you for the open, honest, uncensored, reaction. Something to consider: Bejart Ballet For Life, a ballet written of Queen music and honoring Freddie and AIDS victims. The entire 58-minute ballet is tremendously moving and a shorter video of a special performance with Brian, Roger, John, and Elton John is on youtube. I know you'll love it! Again, thank you 🙂

Another priceless reaction. Listening to Freddie and Montserrat sing and watching them perform together is nothing less than exquisite. I love how you appreciate what you're listening to. Check the other songs they sang together. Freddie was a musical genius. He could create any type of music. He wrote/co-wrote the songs on the Barcelona album. Such an incredible man. Sending love. 💙💙💜💜🌞🌞🌹😊😊🌹

Goosebumps!! Freddie & Montsy had a beautiful friendship & musical love affair!
Barcelona is an extraordinary hit, but for Freddie it was the pinnacle of “a dream come true”. Freddie adored the opera and idolized Montserrat, a legendary Spanish soprano! Gotta do THE GOLDEN BOY …. My favorite!! 💟 💜

An amazing accomplishment by two of the greatest voices in history, and an album Freddie really wanted to make, knowing of course it wouldn't sell to the mainstream especially in the USA.The original version to me is vastly superior to this orchestral mix as is the album.Lucky enough to be a studio engineer at the Townhouse in London and Freddie was always so polite and focused and I heard these songs being pieced together.Don"t remember seeing Montserrat so I guess Freddie was doing the mixing in the adjacent studio. He gave me a signed copy when completed which I treasure,it really is a fantastic piece of work and I can't believe the immaculately dressed guy who shared out his home made sausage rolls is no longer here.
