In the stock photos, you can see that the hood opens to reveal the engine, the $14 version from Sam's Club does not do that. I opened it up to find out why! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Legend has it he is still trying to open the rear portion of a Bugatti Chiron in 1/18 scale.
PS: Just like in real life you can’t access the rear engine compartment.
#truestory I ended up losing this model, have a newer one from 2020 that I'm going to try and cut open for everyone. I just need to remember to do it, thank you for your comment poking me to do so!

U can open it I’m pretty sure like a SVJ kinda not too sure I’ll look up stuff on the Bugatti Chiron
I have the same exact car and I actually modified the back myself and sanded down those tabs so now the engine cover opens for me

can you really not cut the hinges any way other than having to use an expensive power tool / dremel? I was thinking about taking one's time with a thin, sharp knife
The metal is pretty thick there unfortunately, don't think a knife will cut it.
Imperial Diecast
The rear doesnt open because on the real car, u have to take the car to the dealer to disassemble the whole car in order to maintenance the motor.
That's crazy and sounds incredibly expensive.
The Vyron and the Shyron
I'd definitely cut off those tabs! And you bought this from Sam's Club, right? I want to go there now... XD
Definitely going to once I get the right tool for the job. I did get this at Sam's Club, though I've heard of them being found at Costco as well.
Part Time Collector I've looked at my Costco a bunch of times, and the only time Maisto models are seem is around the holiday season. They're usually the Assembly Line ones, though. Maybe my Costco just has bad stock for toys. Thinking about it, they NEVER sold toys except for the holidays.
Do you have a Dremel? My brother has used that to cut off roofs of Hot Wheels cars to make convertibles. Just a thought! :)
That is usually the time I see the 1:18 models is during the holidays, found it kind of odd they hit during the summer here. I do have a dremel someone, I recently moved and still have all of my custom making kits boxed up. Need to get them out and start customizing again.

the engine cover on the real car doesn''t open either. that's why it doesn't open in the diescast

Not yet, when I moved I lost some of my tools and haven't found the right parts for my dremel yet. Hoping to get it done soon.

Interesting! Both Burago and Maisto are using the same molds.
I have the same model. But the rear hood do not open. I don't now

There should be a notch on the interior part of the car that you slide it into. Then lower the body down on top of the interior/chassis.

I'm confused.... I have the sme car, same size, and etc, but mines a 1/24, and his is a 1/18.... but i was messing with mine while watching the video... and there the same size? Another thing im confused about, is that mine doesnt open (apart from doors,) yet his does. (i later find out his is a burago)..... and lastly, this one that you unboxed, is a Burago, but its in a maisto box?
It's possible that yours is a 1:18? Bburago and Maisto are the same company and will change up the name on the box.

These diecast cars are meant for the debuting collector and or a maisto collector...and with that I guess we don't have the right to nitpick on detail...very nice cars for the price I'd say great video 👍
