I've got one and I love it! If they offered it in 10MM I'd buy another one. Instead I am probably going to order another Stealth Arms Platypus in 10MM once they release that caliber on their website. The extra $700-$800 that will cost me would buy a whole lot of ammo, and I will be really surprised it the Platy turns out to be much better than the LFA. I really like this pistol!
Yet another gun I've never heard of. Looks like a solid value. The website ways it ships with one magazine, but I can't find anywhere if it takes "standard" 2011-style mags, such as those what work in Staccato.
From what I’ve read, I think these are MIM, as it’s the only way to keep the price down on metal fabrication. Edit: they do offer a commander length barrel / slide on their website if you are interested.
I'd buy it but I already have the Staccatto C2. Very similar in appearance. It's made in Melbourne, FL, not far from Cape Canaveral and near Florida Tech (FIT). No wonder they call it the Apollo 11. I'll have to shoot this thing while wearing my pre-lunar Omega Speedmaster Pro.
the price isnt so low... its just that other 1911/2011 manufacturers charge exorbitant amounts of money for no reason with 300% profit margins. thats why bersa, live free, tisas, etc are all going to be making the exact same gun for 1/3 the money now. sure youll get tons of people who need to justify spending $2-5k on the same exact thing and will call them trash... same thing happened when holosun and vortex came to market against trijicon and eotech or streamlight and now olight vs surefire. these companies price gouging deserve every lost dollar of market share.
For that price they can afford to give 2 mags . The last Glock I bought gave 3 mags and cost much less than that . Carring enough backup ammo is very important .
that magazine and a Glock magazine are vastly different from a material standpoint. and I'm in no way bashing Glock. you're comparing stainless and spring steel to plastic.
Great video! , could you please explain the optic mounting system in which optic footprint and Optics it can take, plate? No plate?, co-witness?,, thank you 👍
Can u do the comparison between the girsan 2311 and the Apollo 11? There both new this year and come in bout the same price point. And i like the fact the Apollo has optic cut directly into slide so u can co witness
Looks like a great gun but I am not blessed with excessive extra cash and can't imagine spending $1,000 on any pistol... I have a hard time justifying even $500 😱
A lot of reviews and post on the forums of them not able to run hollow points reliability.. turned me away, granted they will fix it but I don’t wanna have to send my new gun in
I have a hard time spending upwards of 500 on a sidearm. I just don't see the value in it. It's like a Picasso, you'll hang it on the wall but you never really do anything with it. Guess i'm cheap 😁.
My Apollo 11 is back to LFA FOR THE 3RD TIME!... Repeated failure to return to battery, every 3rd shot. LFA don't seem to know how to fix a gun. My Stacatto C2 and Bul SAS II 425 Pro run flawlessly. Stay away from the Apollo 11
That pistol might get popular over a short period of time it might in it and I’m using a big Might little bit more popular than The Prodigy 😮 with price and all
I don't see point. A cz da/sa beats a 1911 , 2011 in every way from ease to use, get on target, reliability, far less expensive. I got my cz p07 urban carry for $450 new. If you want an all metal get, the cz 75, p01 or more fancy cz shadow. The shadow will beat any 1911 , and you'll get far more looky loo at range if that's what want.
I'm sorry with quality options like this, I can't see anybody justifying buy a Staccato or any other expensive 2011. Maybe competivite shooters where those minor benefits of getting something higher end matters. But those things are irrelevant to normie gun owners.
holy crap!... under a 1K! and made in the US... SOLD!!! Trigger looks nice, I like that it's red dot ready... THANKS brother!
You will dig it Gonz0
Just wish it was an rmr cut instead of rmsc

Very nice, definitely looking to acquire one. A side by side with the Prodigy or even the Girsan 2311 would be interesting.👍
I could do the Prodigy and Tac 4.25
@@roaringsteelmedia yes I am, and yes, as soon as I can get my hands on one... I will work on it.
@@roaringsteelmedia thank you, I appreciate the support. 👍
👍👍wow that looks like a great deal, nice looking too. Looking forward to the range review. Thanks Dan
Thanks Lance. Very excited
Great video. I am excited and awaiting my new Apollo 11 from LFA.
I ordered one two days ago! Can't wait to give it a try.
Just wait lol, You’re gonna love it!!!
Thanks, Dan. Really nice gun.
Thanks Andy

The mags are compatible with your Staccato mags Rider.
Live Free Armory has been building aftermarket Glock parts/clones for years. Pretty good quality.
Very nice looking firearm...but, Commander length would be optimal.
Also...internals, are they MIM?
Great question. Not sure

Interesting new gun, good report. Thanks.
Thanks Paul
Great review Dan! This gun looks like a winner! I will be saving up to get myself one. Enjoy yourself inside this weekend Brother & shoot on!!
Much appreciated John
Looks good, but I'm currently in the "CCW" Phase, so nothing longer than 4.25" and that's on the long side.
Thanks Steven
They make a compact version with a 4.15" barrel!
Very excited for this gun! I've wanted a 2011 for a while now. I want to see how it compares to the new Turkish 2011 guns introduced at Shot Show too
That's gorgeous. Are the grips rubber?
No sir, they are poly structured
seen alot of reliabilty issues with the early models so far, gonna wait until they fix those, The platypus is more intriguing imo
Beautiful 2011. I’m going to have to get my hands on one.
Yes sir Mike. You will dig it
Yo Danno, thanks for showing this great looking gun.
Thanks Murat
are magazines available or will other mags fit? would be nice if glock mags fit
Can’t wait to get my hands on one. Are they selling out there in the market now? Are they available yet?
Yes sir James
Very nice. I might wait alittle on it. If its still around in 2 yrs maybe the price will be say 750 to 800 and i will jump on it.
It may also raise in cost like so many others once they become popular
LFA, Melbourne FL!
Yes sir

Thanks for the review interesting pistol. Sending one mag out with a $1k pistol though 😥
Thanks Kevin
Does it take Glock mags and does it come in 30 Super Carry?
No and no. The mags are compatible with other 2011's
So bottom line is this a jammomatic or should I go get one?
Mim internals???
Are any other mags compatible??
Not sure Tracy but I doubt it but dunno
Yes other mags are compatible
Not really my taste, but it does look like a nice piece. I hope that company does well
You may want to try a 2011 Cam. They are amazing
The company has been around a couple years, at least, selling Glock and P320 slides.
This compared to the Arex Zero? Thanks for the review Dan 👊👍👍🇺🇸
Thanks bro
I think the only gun in this class I'm interested in is the Platypus. I've got mags and I don't have to worry the stupid state laws with the capacity.
I want to check that out too Q
I heard the externals are cast made
Why can't the existing 1911's be enlarged in the computer(cad) and be made into 2011's?
There's a lot more to it
My new goal. 😍. American made in freedom fighting Florida. Love the name of their company. 👍🫶👌 and affordable? Wow.
For that price they can afford to give 2 mags . The last Glock I bought gave 3 mags and cost much less than that . Carring enough backup ammo is very important .
I hear your point but Glock is no where near this Apollo 11
that magazine and a Glock magazine are vastly different from a material standpoint. and I'm in no way bashing Glock. you're comparing stainless and spring steel to plastic.
@@rodanone4895 That is a terrible arguement. There are multiple 2011 mag options in the price range of a Glock mag.
@@InvidiousIgnoramus such as? i can get a glock magazine for under 20.00.
Once again, how about those Lions! In Goff you trust?
Incredible. Very impressed

Direct mount RMSc
LFA has a nice 19x like new pistol for 379.00 FalconX hope to see your review on it soon.
You and me both Chris. Would love to
Wow 😱😱...
If I ever buy a 1911/2011, this will be it 😎😎.
Great choice Jman
Pretty cool!

Beautiful looking handgun 👌
Thanks Yaron
Nice peice, but not available in Calizuel!
Not sure
Nice
Thanks
A BEAUTIFUL looking firearm but way , way out of my price range.
Thanks for checking it out Kerry
Mine is a p.o.s headed back to rhem again tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that Rocky

Thank god a lot shops do layaway.
I hear ya propdoctor
It’s not for us poor folk.
One on Gunbroker, but $1650 with three mags
You can buy directly at LFA
It has a $525 PT Hero Aluminum Grip on it too for that $1650
Hand fitted, you're capping 🤣 😂
It actually is hand fitted and built all in house at their Florida location, no outsourcing
That’s a good looking son of a gun 👍🏻
Thanks Peter
I found the elite grey version on gun btoker $979 id love if it was avaliable in 10mm.. i really want them to make a 10mm one at the same price point
A lot of reviews and post on the forums of them not able to run hollow points reliability.. turned me away, granted they will fix it but I don’t wanna have to send my new gun in
That is a good looking pistol. But only 1 mag? ☺🇺🇸
Thanks Dragon
Head to head with the prodigy would be a good video
Will eventually do that

Guess I am too then.
There’s plenty you can do with a Picasso. Hot chicks love fine art if you know what I’m saying. 😆
We all probably feel the same way 😂
The finish on my carry guns get chewed up. With a $500 Glock, that's not a big deal. With a $1000 or $3000 2011, it's a bigger issue.
I get your point but Staccato is selling thousands at $2500 - 3K
Sweet!
Thanks fpav
Sweet looking 2011. Dan, are you trying to make me go broke?😂😮
Perhaps some others, not this
Too bad it's cerekote finish and not Nitride.
Thanks Jim
The cost is lower because of the name. Seems names are costly. 😏
Pretty much true Robert
Would be nice if it would be available in Europe one day 😌
Yes sir
I'll take one in 10mm please.
Me too
We can’t have them in California
Big Time bummer man

Sry to hear that. So far, my Apollo has been fine. I agree the Bul Tac 4.25 is amazing
Thats looks nice for a sub 1k
For sure bro. Great video you posted
👍🏻👍🏻

That's possible Robert.
Eliminate the pic rail and optic cut
Price it at 650$. I'm in
It would still be around $900

Yes sir. Looks great
It slices and dices, but wait! There's more!
