I enjoyed you starting on back of the porch nice change. As for Sig and no offense to Sig owners, I don't trust them. I've seen a lot of videos where that P320 does just go off. The 365 and 320 had a litany of issues. I feel that Sig uses their customers as beta testers to rush a product to the market, then they make adjustments. I agree they keep adding to certain lines such as 365 and 320, trying to keep going off the popularity. Sig does over do it on those lines. I don't trust Sig and refuse to ever get the ones mentioned.
The P365 is now a tried and true platform. Thousands of people carry them including me with zero issues. I get why people feel that way especially with the P320, but it’s time to stop talking about the P365 in that capacity…and I’m not a fanboy b/c I own many brands like Glock, Walther, CANIK, Dan Wesson, M&P, and I also edc the Shield Plus.
What about the Glocks that fired out of battery, colts that drop the hammer from shaking them too hard and every other company ever having issues? Why aren't we talking about them?
The Fuse is my first Sig model and I have to say that it almost INSTANTLY became my favorite handgun I’ve ever owned!! I don’t enjoy shooting Micro 9’s and wanted a full-size, but slim-frame EDC handgun and the Fuse is perfect for that, to me!
Yes absolutely, When I called my local gunstore to order me a p365x they were asking all these questions about the model, I had to get online to give a part number etc. I had no idea that there were so many models of the 365. But, I ended up getting my P365x and that's my everyday carry. I also just got my new Taurus 692 Executive Grade Revolver thanks to you haha.
Dan, you had me at "overdoing it." I saw the latest version of the P365 at a gun show two days ago. In nobody's imagination is that a carry gun. I have an early release is the P226. It is one of my favorite guns to shoot. The sights can be swapped and there is a rail. That's it.
It is slim gun. It is a carry gun. Glock 19 and similar sized guns were the "carry guns" of choice once. Metal 1911s were carry guns. Gee whiz, how did anybody carry anything before these double stacks in a single stack frame! They were not "carry guns"!
I personally love the P365 and it's modularity! The aftermarket is what really sets it apart. My current setup is a Fuse by FDEZ on a Sharps Bro's X Macro grip module
Sig has definitely stepped up their number of models with the P365. I carry the original (after the issues were corrected). I have the X but don't have enough rounds down range to carry. My all time favorite Sig is a P220 Stainless Elite. Boy it is fun to shoot! Heavy, only 8 rounds, but a joy to shoo.
My big gripe with Sig is the price of their magazines, and in recent years, a lackluster finish prone to rust. To me, there are better values available.
For decades there was th 22o, 226, and then the 229 in .40 S&W! That seemed satisfying! Calizuela limits your choices to a smattering of differing handguns. I'd be happy to deal with your dilemma! I do enjoy your content!
That is so hilarious, I have noticed how the micro compact P365 has been growing and growing and growing. It is like take a success and milk it for all that it is worth. But that is industry in general, they play on their successes with a vengeance.
I am old enough to remember when there weren’t a plethora of different platforms. I like that there are a lot of options. The only Sigs I care about are the 226 series, specifically the Single actions.
Sigs are so nice that I would love to have every model or variation they come up with, people kind of forget that Sig Sauer is a gun maker and business is their name, samething with other brands. My new acquisition is going to be the P226 X Legion.❤
I absolutely agree with you. Yes, you can get a model pretty much tailored to what you want in it. However, creating a huge number of the same basic design with a tone of different options and models within the model of each costs a tremendous amount for the company and this cost must be paid by the purchaser. The cost is so great it must be spread out throughout the products offered and this means all of their guns could be considerably less expensive if they didn't create, market and sell so many of the more limited offerings. It took a long time, but GM finally figured this out with their cars that were basically the same between Chevy, Pontiac, Buick and Oldsmobile and all had trim levels within their respective lines.
You’re 100% correct in this video, my friend. Sig is overall a very good brand but in my opinion they have gotten caught up in trying to make too many variations of pistols to try and please everyone. This is not realistic. For a subcompact pistol I’ll continue to employ my beloved Glock 26 aka my Baby Glock. 😎
The P320 .45acp (compact I believe) I purchased in 2015 is the last Sig I have purchased........mostly the stupid prices have kept me from future purchases. I actually stick with my Canik, Tisas, Girsan purchases these days....but Canik (knew they would) have started stupid prices....nice stupid priced guns, but not priced like they used to be, and they have always been quality guns. Love your videos.
If you have a P365 you potentially have many P365s, especially with after market offerings like comps and different grip manufacturers like Wilson or Icarus Precision. This makes them highly customizable. I have two FCUs and several after market parts so I can put together a variety of guns now depending on my mood or the weather. I'm not complaining. I do recommend starting with just the FLU and going from there. It may be more expensive that way but you get something so much better in the end.
I have to agreed with you Dan...Sig offers so many variations that it is difficult to keep up on what is what. My only answer for what they do is that they maybe trying to capture the market for customized versions.
I swore off Sig after having lackluster performance from my p365xl. Then I bought the 320 Xten Comp and absolutely love it. It’s the best shooting poly 10mm between Glock, S&W and Springfield. Have been considering a 365 Macro, but it’d be hard to replace my Shield Plus.
As a life long Sig Fanboy and loyalist I can say that you are 100% correct. It breaks my heart to see Sig lose their way. I did recently go out and get a P365 and it’s a wonderful little carry gun. It shoots well and I really like it. I didn’t need 9 other flavors of this gun to choose from. The base model is what made this thing fly off the shelves.
Your logic makes no sense. Do you expect them to just sell a bunch of parts for the modular pistols? Let's compare to glock. 19, 45, 17. They are basically the same gun too. All manufacturers do it........
I would agree but on the striker models it kept getting better (save the P320 which is just junk across the board). The P365 AXG Legion is the best of P365 family by far and I am glad they iterated it. Now I’m only going to wait for metal framed guns.
i do agree they are over doing it. the slide swap caught me off guard it looks so goofy not sure how reliable they would be in that configuration. thanks for video.
Sig Fuse has issues with failing to feed especially with the 21 round magazines. And failure to eject. Plus after a few mags it gets extremely hot. Rule number one never buy a Sig it’s 1s year out
Modern CNC manufacturing makes it relatively easy to create variants of a popular model. I guess I don't see anything wrong with having too much to choose from.
I only like the older hammer fired Sig pistols and the 365. I owned an M17, and a polymer framed 229 both of which I no longer have. Didn't like the triggers on both, although reliable but not for me. They need to do like you said make an in between model, like a wider 365 chambered in 40, 45, and 357 Sig.
I like sig. own a p365 with close to 3k rounds with no issues. I also have a P228 which has been the best shooting 9mm I’ve come across. I can honestly say I’ve never warmed up the the p320 drop safe drama aside. I would much rather have a P226 or P220 series pistol just think they are better guns than the p320 I just wish they’d lower the price on the base model classic P series I think they are a little over priced now
Dan I feel the exact same way! I don't love the way Sig does this! It is like they are scared to put out a new number cause they had a winner with the 365 isn't it? It repels me from their weapons honestly. Is everything Sig makes from now to eternity going to be some new model 365? I wonder!
I see what you're syaing and as a Glock guy, I never really put much more thought into it. Urtil, i started looking at branching out from Glock. Sig doesnt have the same aftermarket support. By having so much in house compatibility, it givrs sig guy/gals to have a more diverse selection. The P365 fuse and teh new CaniK MC9LS both fill a new niche in what i like toi call the "extra slim" g19 category. With the 1 inch width and 17+ capacity, it makes me kinda want to try edc'ing one of those. If I went with Sig, I'd have hella options just like i have with my g19 builds.
I used to carry my P365X the most. Once the IWI Masada Slim was released I bought it and have been carrying it the most out of all of my collection. I think I carried my P365X three times since I bought the Slim. It's a tad better in every way but very similar.
The problem in my mind is they've not delivered in the FCU promise. Theoretically I can buy any upper or grip module to replicate the new hotness. But of course those modules or that particular slide and barrel length are sold out.
SIG always did this approach. Remember the discontinued SIG models such as the SIG 226 Diamond Plate ,SIG 224, SIG 225-A1. In addition to all the carbines they marketed within the last two decades only to discontinue them shortly thereafter.
@@gunguru7020they aren't outdated, it's just how the newer models are marketed. The purpose being to make you think your older model isn't up to snuff cause it doesn't have this new thing on it that added $$$ to the price tag
Bought an m and p and then they came out with the carry comp, is it outdated? No its a gun 😂😂 not the latest fashion... its a tool and both work well. Some variations better for different people
Great video! I have had this same thought many times. It reminds me of general motors platform that rebadged the same vehicle many times over as something new. I suppose from a financial standpoint it works. But we see what they are doing. They have some good ideas and some poor execution at times. Kind of like kel tec?
well said --they all do it . i can`t wait to see if they make the s&w body guard 2.0 twice as big ...........drum mags ,3x9 red dots ,muzzle brakes etc . all for a 20 foot pocket gun ------------------------
Love the channel, but the example of the Ruger is apples and oranges at best. There is no magazine interchangeability in the Ruger where there is with the P365 series. All Sig has done is made grouping of pistols in the same vein as Glock only thinner
People are still buying these different model sigs forsure, especially when its a good shooting gun. Its really good that sig is doing that so people have more options, yes the trigger/fcu might still be the same but still itll feel different and be better or worse depending on the person. I like what sig is doing forsure, i dont buy glocks because all glocks are the same unless it modded. If they made more different glocks then i would def buy more glocks as well. To me, sig is taking this to another level in terms of variety and modularity which is what most people wants anyways. More than half the people that buy guns will mod their gun just like buying a sports car. Models and trims in cars/trucks is best thing to happen for modern cars today
Dan,,, YES NEEDED TO BE SAID 😳 like Baseball ya need a scorecard to keep track! I stopped at 2 Sigs, 365 & 365XL that’s enough for me as my Glocks have gotten 🤣 out of control; G17-G19-G26-G34-G42-G43-G43X-G45-G21 AND SOME MULTIPLES OF SOME,,,,, OMG 😳 STOP 🛑 Thanks again Dan da’ Man for bringing the madness to our attention 😜 keep up the Great work & videos and Support of our 2nd Amendment 👍🤩🇺🇸
I believe the p365 fuse will become an xl duty, version and ultimately replace the p320 as the military version, the p365 versions are way more safe than the 320, ive owned the p 320, p 365 and i owe a 226 or two, the 226 is the best
What I really wish Sig would do is fill the gap between the P365X and the P365X Macro. Both are great guns, but the P365X is a little too small for my support hand to get good purchase on the grip. It's also too snappy. On the other hand, the P365X Macro is a tad too long in the slide and the grip, making it print easily and uncomfortable when I sit when carrying AIWB. The perfect P365 size would be a 3.5 inch barrel with 15 round capacity and an aluminum frame.
A lot to what you said, Dan.! They've gotten to the point where if you feel like buying one of them, its almost like wait a minute, maybe you'll like the next one they bring out, better. So you wait, amd another company also brings out something cool. What to do.?!!! 🤠
Before I say anything my attitude towards guns is bang for your buck. If we're talking Sig and Taurus, well then yeah get the Sig if you can afford it. For myself, the fact that you can get Beretta APX's, Rugers and CZ which are also reputable manufacturers, cheaper and have good reputations, especially for the price.......I don't really see a need to get a Sig unless I found a deal that was too good to pass up. The other big deterrant, for me at least, is the price of their mags being $30+.
I agree that Sig is really overdoing it with the P365. I have the OG P365 with some 10 and 12 round mags. The gun has well over 1000 rounds through it without a malfunction. IMO the best thing about the P365 is how small, light, and concealable it is. All of the newer versions make the gun bigger, heavier, and less concealable. They've taken the P365 and made it the size of a Glock 19 or even bigger, depending on the barrel/grip/magazine. Yeah it's a little thinner than a Glock 19, but the hardest part of a pistol to conceal is the grip. If I want to carry a bigger gun, I'll carry a bigger gun. I don't understand why they make so many bigger versions of small guns. It defeats the purpose IMO.
There are quite a few pistols I'd like to snag just in general from SIG like you said at 3:08 although not specifically the 320 line. I do like seeing new releases though but with that I want innovation, quality, and reliability and SIG has been seen not to deliver on that. Having said that if I find a 226 Legion comp I'll jump on it if it's payment plan worthy!! 😎🤘👊
Notice how when they come out with a new version they won’t sell just the frames? One of the benefits of the 365 is the chassis system that can be put in multiple frames.
Recently went to a Sportsman Warehouse store. They had their model exclusive P10 SC. Sales associate had no idea that it was model exclusive to his big box store….but boy could he tell me everything about a 365 and 320 variants.
Sig's all metal pistols are still their best pistols. Never been a huge fan of polymer pistols using a striker system. Give me sa/da all day long. Having choices is a great problem to have imo.
Every company does this now. You can buy a $10,000.00 1911 these days. There are probably 200 different variations of AR-15 available. The market is wildly oversaturated, and everyone is fighting to stand out. The plethora of plastic 9mm handguns means that each company is trying to find a combination of features that will sell. I hope that the market will branch out in both calibers and materials again at some point.
I think they do it because it's an easier sale, people don't have to be sold on it They are already sold on the platform. I also think it's their way of selling all the extras / aftermarket add-ons instead of leaving that for other companies.
You assume wrong. The popular P320 and the P365 are ranked at or near the top in sales annually. Who's slugging it out with them for a shot at the title? 😉 The Glock 19 and the Glock 43X naturally. 😁
If they are capable of doing it, why not. Never know what will take off and explode in sales and profits. Bet people would love it if Glock did something, anything close in new releases like Sig??
P320 made some sense but P365 just doesn't make sense anymore. P365 was supposed to be a small, thin but ergonomic & wieldy striker-fired firearm with a patented double-stack magazine. that could be carried 365 days of the year without issue. So that means CCing even with summer attire. However, the P365 stopped making much sense after the P365X. Yes, the P365 AXG Legion is cool as heck but it's just too big for a 365 carry.
Me personally I think gun manufacturers should stick to the basic 3 styles when it comes to semi auto handguns: subcompact, compact, full size and/or duty. Cause Sig releasing the P365 fuse that’s getting to size of the p320 and p226, and I can speak from personal experience I’m a big Beretta fan and they keep coming out with newer models or retweaks of the 92 line and it drives me crazy. I’m gonna use Glock as an example they have the 26, 19, and the 34 in their 9mm line the 30, 21, and 41 in their .45 acp line. Subcompact, compact, and full size that’s it.
I sold my p365 to a friend because I am left handed and on quite a few occasions the mag release would get pressed and my mag would shoot out when I was carrying it. I mentioned the left handed part because the mag release was exposed when I’d carry at 9 o’clock position… idk if anyone else had this problem .. but my buddy likes it… But only after he got an aluminum frame and custom optic ready slide for it 🧐 I r feel like sig is doing too much but they must get a lot of customer feedback to be willing to put out all these different flankers of their guns
Sig, Glock, Springfield, S&W are ALL doing & doing it the same way,,, they listen to people say I wish I had this model in a smaller - larger configuration & presto there you have it,,, There all the same just grios, sights, barrel length, back strap or capacity or even caliber....
Options. What is wrong with giving options to customers? Compare it to other gun makers. Many/Most do not provide options to their customers. The only complaint for options is that when you buy one and a new one comes out, you are disappointed because you would have brought the new one if you had known.
Well the bottom line , buy what you like and SIG gives you variety within several models so it's not a boring concept that one might experience with Glock the Lego of pistols in their own right but the point is interchange and that ideal had even sparked military interest and no one offers this concept better than the two companies. O.K. it's time to make your choice and I'll admit I'm a SIG Fan . It's just freedom of choice for me overall especially the Legend Comp Series.
So many models makes it difficult to follow a platform, learn about it, and make a decision. Well, the decision to make is to go with something else that is easier to wrap your head around. No Sig for me.
Understating the P365 launch problems. It wasn’t just feeding issues. Striker drag, strikers breaking, sights flying off, and dead triggers are a few of the problems that they’ve had. I understand that they have apparently worked all of those issues out, but I just can’t get behind a company that continually has issues that they let the customer discover. Personally, I had a P938 that had so many varying issues that they never fixed so I vowed to never buy from them again. I guess I’m a little jaded.
Yeah I thought the same thing it’s like I can’t keep up with all the different models they come out with and then you can customize each model in 1 million different ways so but what are you gonna do
It looks like another glock 67, 89 But it makes some sense. Ease of shooting with a bigger gun of the same grip angle and texture makes you a better shooter with a standard p365
I enjoyed you starting on back of the porch nice change. As for Sig and no offense to Sig owners, I don't trust them. I've seen a lot of videos where that P320 does just go off. It amazes me people complain about choices

@thatoneguybones8036 😂 I say this all the time. If you even mention Glocks expl0ding people change the convo and act like it never happened.

Dan The Man never over does it!
I appreciate that. Crang, thanks man
I think Sig is trying (and succeeding?) to out-do Kimber with the number of cosmetically different models of each pistol.
If people buy them (or just the various modules)--and making money--then no, Sig is not overdoing it.
I will never complain about having TOO many choices.
That Talo exclusive is a showpiece..🤩
Yes absolutely, When I called my local gunstore to order me a p365x they were asking all these questions about the model, I had to get online to give a part number etc. I had no idea that there were so many models of the 365. But, I ended up getting my P365x and that's my everyday carry. I also just got my new Taurus 692 Executive Grade Revolver thanks to you haha.
Yeah I think P365X is the best one ;)
It is a bit silly sometimes. But options are good. Thank you.

They missed the mark by leaving night sights off.
No doubt Carl, especially for that price
Yeah, especially since the original P365 has night sights.
I agree 💯! But they pull it off because all the versions of the P365’s use the same internal FCU, same with all the P320’s.
Yep, that's why I mentioned the same point. You are right sir
Sig does not need to be the next glock.
They're following their game plan, but with questionable quality.
I agree. Completely old man
You speak truth, always good info, thanks 😊
I personally love the P365 and it's modularity! The aftermarket is what really sets it apart. My current setup is a Fuse by FDEZ on a Sharps Bro's X Macro grip module

Glock mags are the cheapest. That’s the only reason I stick with them. Lots of mags on hand
@@user-mm4je1sb9b and I've never had a Glock factory mag fail on me. I've seen Sig mags fail at a competition. For $50/ mag, that should not happen.
I totally agree with your point of view. Great analysis and content. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, insights and contribution.
I truly appreciate that. Carlos, thank you sir

As long as they buy it, it'll be made. I.E Halloween 10 etc lol.
I would really like to see the analytics on sales
I used to carry my P365X the most. Once the IWI Masada Slim was released I bought it and have been carrying it the most out of all of my collection. I think I carried my P365X three times since I bought the Slim. It's a tad better in every way but very similar.
It does seem like Sig comes out with two new models a week. 👊🇺🇸
The problem in my mind is they've not delivered in the FCU promise. Theoretically I can buy any upper or grip module to replicate the new hotness. But of course those modules or that particular slide and barrel length are sold out.
Good stuff Nathan
I LOVE my P365 Tacops, especially with the Ramm Tactical trigger! Can you have too many Sigs? How many is too many?
SIG always did this approach. Remember the discontinued SIG models such as the SIG 226 Diamond Plate ,SIG 224, SIG 225-A1. In addition to all the carbines they marketed within the last two decades only to discontinue them shortly thereafter.
Do you not understand the concept of limited runs? They never claimed that they were doing to be a standard catalog item.
Looks like SIG is going bonkers with the numerous models of the same guns! GREED is on the cards!
They also have the military contracts
I like options. Options are good. It's better than 2 limited versions. But I'm a person that actually likes guns. I don't pretend.
Isnt that contract for m17&18 so thats no crutch for they nonsense @TheFirearmGuy
Buy a Sig and a month later it's outdated by a new model. Got rid of my xl and went with S&W.
How is it "outdated"?
The sig i always loved was the p230
well said --they all do it . i can`t wait to see if they make the s&w body guard 2.0 twice as big ...........drum mags ,3x9 red dots ,muzzle brakes etc . all for a 20 foot pocket gun ------------------------
Hilarious Frank
I love my p365xl thought about getting the other one they had after the XL and lost interest. The XL has the grip length i like.
I may be the rare example but I really like my Sig SP2022. Too bad they discontinued it.
My early production P320 compact had an uncommanded discharge AFTER Sig “fixed” it during the voluntary recall. No more striker fired Sigs for me.
I have a 365X and the P365 AXG Legion. They are both great but the Legion is my Ferrari!!
Sig has more 365s or 320s than most companies have pistols. I like Sigs, but mine all have hammers. That Talo 226 is sweet
I’ve always wanted the Sig P226, the CZ75, the H&K USP, and the Springfield 1911 mil spec. If I could only have one I’d take ….IDK! Lol
I totally agree! I thought it was just me!
Too confusing and too difficult to decide on which to get if any
Sig's all metal pistols are still their best pistols. Never been a huge fan of polymer pistols using a striker system. Give me sa/da all day long. Having choices is a great problem to have imo.
I never thought that having numerous options for a handgun, car, laptops, motorcycles, etc. was a bad thing.
I agree you couldn't be more right
Great video. Thanks
I think they do it because it's an easier sale, people don't have to be sold on it They are already sold on the platform. I also think it's their way of selling all the extras / aftermarket add-ons instead of leaving that for other companies.
It's a modular system. Most modular systems don't go far enough. I assume they may discontinue the P320, but keep the P365 line.
You assume wrong. The popular P320 and the P365 are ranked at or near the top in sales annually. Who's slugging it out with them for a shot at the title? 😉 The Glock 19 and the Glock 43X naturally. 😁
@@davidhudson2527 I didn't assume anything.
Love my sigs but they are definitely overdoing it!!
Got the mete mc9l!!
Canik hit it out of the park!!
You can swap it to the other side. Either way you made the right decision lol
I valet’d my car once and I looked down and it was on the ground like wtf, I didn’t even know it had popped out
Sig, Glock, Springfield, S&W are ALL doing & doing it the same way,,, they listen to people say I wish I had this model in a smaller - larger configuration & presto there you have it,,,
There all the same just grios, sights, barrel length, back strap or capacity or even caliber....
As far as I am concerned, the (original) P365, P365X, and P365XL are the only ones that are in the concealed carry category.
Well, I happen to enjoy those many different options to pick from.
Options. What is wrong with giving options to customers? Compare it to other gun makers. Many/Most do not provide options to their customers. The only complaint for options is that when you buy one and a new one comes out, you are disappointed because you would have brought the new one if you had known.
It won't be a Glock killer until someone comes out with a Sig switch... Good stuff as always,'
Last I saw Sig had over 25 variants of the 320 line alone
I do like the sig p365.
There for a while it seemed like Mondays were the P 365 new release day and Thursdays were P 320 new release day !!!
Too funny Trent. You are correct though
Next will be the P365 Carbine with Folding Stock
Well the bottom line , buy what you like and SIG gives you variety within several models so it's not a boring concept that one might experience with Glock the Lego of pistols in their own right but the point is interchange and that ideal had even sparked military interest and no one offers this concept better than the two companies. O.K. it's time to make your choice and I'll admit I'm a SIG Fan . It's just freedom of choice for me overall especially the Legend Comp Series.
I wish they would overdo the finish and include a guide rod that doesn’t rust
So many models makes it difficult to follow a platform, learn about it, and make a decision. Well, the decision to make is to go with something else that is easier to wrap your head around. No Sig for me.
Lookin' good TFG.
Yeah I thought the same thing it’s like I can’t keep up with all the different models they come out with and then you can customize each model in 1 million different ways so but what are you gonna do
I really want that FUSE
It looks like another glock 67, 89
But it makes some sense.
Ease of shooting with a bigger gun of the same grip angle and texture makes you a better shooter with a standard p365
I could agree with that point
I remember when I bought my 938 the website had close to 30 different options. I got the one I liked but could of picked 5 easily
