If anything, Rob Lowe should been replaced. It would make the kid not recognizing him be less ridiculous since he looks exactly the same (this applies to the ending of the first movie too).
The self-control it takes to finish this and NOT start a Dr. Horrible rewatch is IMMENSE. Iconic reference. 10/10

I just realized the main protagonist loses everything goes through a midlife crisis, grows a beard, picks up acting and tries to steal a fortune from 3 orphaned children( but in the end lost those Christmas shoes😔sad times)

It’s not as corny or sappy as the first movie but it still feels as needlessly depressing.
OK so for the spanish speaking woman, I'm only 7 minutes in so maybe they explain it later but I'm impatient and wanna post a comment _now._ Maybe the idea is that she is learning spanish and is trying to improve her skill by only speaking it? You know, kind of a faux total immersion thing? I could see that having some benefits.
Oh okay nevermind she was just being really obnoxious and bringing her schoolwork outside of school with her. Only then she gets annoyed and doesn't want to do it outside school later? What? Lady, what?
Oh please tell me the teacher's atrocious Spanish was a lame attempt at some sort of running joke. This was so unbelievably cringeworthy. But then why should I be surprised-this is a low budget Christian movie...

Losing a child is unbelievably psychologically damaging, and the idea that it could be wrapped up with a greeting-card Christmas wish is so nihilistic it makes me laugh. These movies try so hard to be wholesome and happy it's almost castrating the soul. You can't feel grief, or horror, just smile like the Stepford wives, because the Hollywood Christian God's universe has no room for difficult questions.
Do you know what happens when you have liver failure? You turn orange, and I mean ORANGE. Of all things wrong with this film, that's what's bothering me most. Could we please have something, anything, realistic looking in this mess.
