When I separated prior to the divorce, I remained in the house with the two children. My mother-in-law owned the house. I asked/told my husband I needed to save money to be able to move out. He agreed.
One of the things that came up later was how angry my mil was that she wasn't getting paid the house payment. My thought was, why wasn't her son making or expected to be making the payment. He was totally irresponsible, even thinking he shouldn't have to pay child support cause I made more money! I made $38,000 & he made $36,000. Wonderful mom ma's boy!
