Actually I remember now, I tried it with an electric drill and auger earlier. Just a regular 220V consumer drill but it lasted an hour before blue magic smoke came out of it.
IIRC I reseeded in spring after scarifying, as I usually do, and it tends to do nothing. Until I did this crazy thing. No fertilizer. That said, 4 years later, my lawn looks nothing like it did then. Its still green I guess. All kinds of green :)
It's amazing all the flack you got on /r/lawncare. I tried this and it's an amazingly efficient way to handle truly deeply compacted soil.

Im sure that will work too, but I think a pressure washer is faster and easier. Messier too though :)

i can't tell after he aerate the ground and then added grass seed?
Did you aerate with the jest washer?? Never seen this method.
Neither had I. This was during covid lockdown and I couldnt rent proper machinery so I tried with what I had :)
