What’s the temp Bob? Winter jacket time here in Vancouver.
This video was shot on Oct 6, 23. Next week forecast is for sub-freezing temps. That firewood will be ready to burn. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Nice size blocks Bob, looks like it’s ready to burn. Great job and have a great one Bob 👍🏻🙂🙋🏼♂️
They were big and heavy. I used my little helper to save my back a little bit. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Those were large rounds. I like the way you were cutting them by leaving a strap
I found that by not cutting straight down, while the log is suspended between two points, the bar does not become pinched. However, this is an advanced technique and must be done with a firm grip on the power saw. If you notice the saw jumping, this is the result of the saw starting to kickback at the operator. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Damn! Some nice clean wood there Bob. Wish we had some of that here on the Rock. Be safe my man.
We are very fortunate here in Pennsylvania. Penn's Woods has been bless with a variety of hardwoods. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Good morning Bob, beautiful day. Nice size log. Dry, ready for splitting and burning. Have a good one, Ben
It was very dry and hard. Of coarse that is the nature of locust. It was a nice day. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Nice bunch of wood you got good job on it Take it easy and have a good day Stay healthy stay safe catch another one
It's been a fairly good year. I'd like to get a new load of logs delivered soon. I really need to clear my head. Too much stuff getting jammed together in that small space. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Looks nice and dry that log.
This is another honey locust log. It drys very quickly, even in log form. The down side of locust is it makes a mess in the wood yard when the bark falls off as the log shrinks when it is losing it's moisture content. That's a good thing for me because I hate taking wood into the house with the bark still on it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
I’d love to get a piece of that to go on my bandsaw Bob………it looks solid and would make nice boards or a piece of furniture. You have the junking down to a science Bob……….works well!
It's very solid. I don't know how bad it would check during the drying process. It dries very quickly. It would be fun to see what kind of lumber it would produce. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Hi Bob, looks like you are getting to the end of your logs. Guess another truck load will be on the way soon. Well done my friend. Play Safe.
The log pile is gone. And yes, I need to get a new load of logs as soon as I can. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Hello Bob, nice work 👏 just bought a 592xp powerhouse🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Oh Boy, the Stihl guys will be busting you chops. I guess we will get to see it in action soon. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
