    Ben - haven't mentioned it before now but I wanted to say that the Capsaicin got rid of the tendinitis I've been dealing with for 3 years. In the past, elbow cuffs and sleeves would just mask the pain but this shit is a miracle.

    • @phdeadlift
      @phdeadlift  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      For elbows and knees especially it's a godsend, but it's really helpful for regular muscular soreness too. Such a game changer.

    In my gym bag... Fat grips/full boar slingshot/wrist wraps/bands/hooks for pulling movements/weight lifting shoes/weight journal. I might have skipped a few things, but those are essentials for me. I dont use a belt ever, ive never liked using them.

    Never heard of capsaicin before that’s cool to discover. Last 10s of the video are the best, that’s what make your channel genuine and not some highly manufactured video. Keep it raw to some extent even if you get someone to help with the video!

    The one I like for flat shoes is Sabo deadlift shoes. Check it out guys its also genuine leather so it wont stink it will breath and will last longer if you dry it condition it and take care of it.

      Ive been wearing the new one for about 4-5 months now it's a good fit for me I do agree it's a bit tight but usually in boots/shoes im wearing EEE or EE width. Why is it so hard to find the right shoes haha.

    Hey Ben,
    I wanted to know whether or not I should add assistance exercises for hypertrophy when doing your program. I'm a powerbuilder, and my current numbers are 550 deadlift, 405 squat, 315 bench. So far I've been using a standard 5x5 program, so I always had to add in extra work.
    Thanks

  • @TaiPatrickTV
    @TaiPatrickTV 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    loved the vid, but I think people would like if you described things in a little bit more details, e.g. why you use loose straps rather than a loop strap

    • @phdeadlift
      @phdeadlift  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I thought about that, but most people have said to keep the videos to under 10 minutes, and I could talk for quite a while about anything in there. So I figured I'd just do followup videos on topics of interest. Would you like a strap video?

  • @jamesgillam6478
    @jamesgillam6478 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Have you tried the SBD belt? It's the best belt I've used by such a huge margin that I can't imagine Pioneer being better than it but I'm certainly open to trying them if you think they're even more supportive than SBD!!

    • @phdeadlift
      @phdeadlift  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I wore the SBD belt for almost a year and it never broke in. Personally, I like my belts to mold to my body so they're more comfortable and don't interfere with my ROM. That said, the adjustable lever is really nice

    • @arielloza1671

      The sbd never breaks in just like the inner 13mm. Pioneers owner did a video on Brandon Campbell's TH-cam comparing all of the top lifting belts out there. Go check it out. The only thing is the awesome lever. Other than that the pioneer beats the sbd in every way. Price built quality and customization.
