I’m conflicted with playing more dragon attackers like Goodra and Hax, but i definitely see the logic behind cutting temple. I’ll be interested to try.
I want Ceruledge to great but Zard and Bolt are just to much in the long run. As an older MTG player (back when they tested and R&D'ed before releasing sets) pokemon needs to be better at that very thing. Zard needs to be less efficient, Bolt has to many good supporting cards. Sada's Vitality does to much, honestly it shouldn't have the draw 3 attached for no reason, and Tealmask should have been hard capped at once per turn like Pidgeot ex. Could have also required that Bolt can only discard energy attached to it. Zard should only accelerated one energy and probably costed 3 to attack (Fire, Fire, Colorless is what I think). And Dusknoir is pretty bad design too, just not sure if it's a balanceable ability, I lean towards not and probably just shouldn't have been done. It's just dumb a lot really cool designed cards have been outclassed and will be outclassed by these two decks.
Thanks for the frequent updates on the state of the meta!! Question: if you could only craft a Hydreigon deck or a Ceruledge deck for ranked play this weekend, which one would you pick?
Agree with you that Ceruledge is gonna be here a while. Loving it with Palkia, but I feel like someone is going to find the secret sauce within the next month that will make it a top 5 deck soon :)
Ceruledge seems solid to me -- the main thing is it has the advantage of being a stellar card that doesn't need to use it's attack that needs 3 different energy types to work. It's similar to how you try to use Terapagos ex's first attack for very much the same reason
Greetings from Chile. This is the first video of TSS I have watched so far, and no regrets of (perhaps) watching more where that came from in the future. Although I'm willing for Charizard ex to become my main deck to succeed with and I like seeing it high on the podium, my attention went towards Regidrago VSTAR's deck at the very top of the list. Why? Because it took me by surprise, having in mind that the remaining cards from the Sword & Shield era will leave standard format by next Spring and (as far as I know) this deck relies most of its strategy on cards from that era, I wonder the way next year's rotation would affect such decks (like Lugia VSTAR, most Lost Box variants, Gardevoir ex, etc.).
I’d say it acts as another tool to make decks which run lightning energy and Iron Hands, such as Miraidon and Lost Box, more prominent. It’s not so much the Pikachu itself being great as it is a helper to decks with Iron Hands that can hit more important weaknesses. But I’d say that’s just one piece.
I am a miraidon player and I took a break for a short while, and I was looking for a miraidon deck with the new set. But why does this decklist use two iron hands? I feel like iron hands is far too situational (due to more basic ex decks being common) and it needs a lot to work effectively. I know im not good at tcg, but I am curious about that. Clarify: I took a break during stellar crown and wanted to wait until ssp came out
My opinions - Gholdego has been performing so well it defenitely deserves top 10 - Absolutely no one play lost zone box should be lower or even out of top 10 completely - I don't say this to be rude but I think the only reason u included Hydreigon was because of recensy bias, it's not that good

Weird deck Dragapult ex Gouging Fire ex Archaludon ex/zamazenta and bibarel Going to test 1 Area zero and 2 poke stops
try to see if there is a similar style of deck you can try slotting it into, like a Charizard deck (replacing the Zard line for blastoise). After a few diff stage 2 decks, you might find one that works
Spoiler Alert!

Just starting out in Pokemon in this video helped a lot I was unsure about the three Decks that I picked. Charizard EX, raging bolt and terapegos. 🎉
glad the video helped
Great Vid! Definitely taking a look at the card shop links, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Maridon with trapp is underrated
valid
Cool video sir
I’m conflicted with playing more dragon attackers like Goodra and Hax, but i definitely see the logic behind cutting temple. I’ll be interested to try.
for sure
It's just dumb a lot really cool designed cards have been outclassed and will be outclassed by these two decks.
fair
Thanks for this list!! Really appreciate it 🔥
Always looking forward to this. Boost!

Thanks for the frequent updates on the state of the meta!! Question: if you could only craft a Hydreigon deck or a Ceruledge deck for ranked play this weekend, which one would you pick?
Ceruledge atm
I'm really torn on the latias. I don't like having another 2 prizer on board but it also seems so strong to have
valid
Hey,
Awesome content. 🙌
A question from a newb. Why don’t we see Loyal three deck in competitive? What is the weakness?
thank you! more or less every deck can be strong, but its to be strong against the many (diff decks in the meta)
@@TheShuffleSquadTCG Thanks!
Another great list !! Thanks hope all is good with everyone at the Shuffle Squad!
thank you - hope the same for you
Agree with you that Ceruledge is gonna be here a while. Loving it with Palkia, but I feel like someone is going to find the secret sauce within the next month that will make it a top 5 deck soon :)
facts
Ceruledge seems solid to me -- the main thing is it has the advantage of being a stellar card that doesn't need to use it's attack that needs 3 different energy types to work. It's similar to how you try to use Terapagos ex's first attack for very much the same reason
I will say after some testing the secert box zard build is actually much better you get set up far more and are way more consistent now as well.
good to know
I love Gard! But this week I try to play with Raging bolt
facts
This list is just for the surging sparks format, which is before rotation
I appreciate the kind words.
yes
Hey, I'm trying to get into the Pokemon TCG and played some Giratina Vstar on Pokemon live. Is the deck currently viable in the meta or nah?
its semi viable, but would be a top 50 deck or so
No mention of Gholdengo? It has receive some insane support in surging sparks
Pretty sure we'll some of them in sacramento :)
yh gholdengo definetely deserves top 10, it has been performing really well
it might make top 10 this week
fair
Ceruledge ex is dangerous. It's Tera plus with no ability to get around a lot of Pokémon
fact
confused by why pikachu ex being lightning is so relevant? nothing with lightning weakness has more than 300 hp anyway
It beats palkia
@@munigarg3771palkia got 280 hp
It can be searched out by miraidon
I’d say it acts as another tool to make decks which run lightning energy and Iron Hands, such as Miraidon and Lost Box, more prominent. It’s not so much the Pikachu itself being great as it is a helper to decks with Iron Hands that can hit more important weaknesses. But I’d say that’s just one piece.
it typically comes with other Lightning attackers
I want Hydreigon to be good so badly!
Same
I gotta some credits to make hydregion ex ,great list brotha .Sad my lugia is on the bottom tiers now but with pikachu ex around i understand
What are your thoughts on ancient box?
surprisingly good
Love your videos Zack! They help me with learning all the decks not just mine, it has helped me win way more battles
glad you enjoy!
Enjoyed the vid

Exeggutor in the Reggie deck is a must.
added it in after sac
I am a miraidon player and I took a break for a short while, and I was looking for a miraidon deck with the new set. But why does this decklist use two iron hands? I feel like iron hands is far too situational (due to more basic ex decks being common) and it needs a lot to work effectively.
I know im not good at tcg, but I am curious about that.
Clarify: I took a break during stellar crown and wanted to wait until ssp came out
magneton can power up
Why isn't Klawf in here? It has done very well at LAIC and previous recent regionals
New format
No matter what u say, I am happy with Gholdengo ex. Those Energy discarding is fun.
yasssss
Are you a full time pokemon player or do you have a full time job doing something else?
I play Pokemon / create content full time
I wonder how many full time players there are now days? Must be hard to scratch a living
My opinions
- Gholdego has been performing so well it defenitely deserves top 10
- Absolutely no one play lost zone box should be lower or even out of top 10 completely
- I don't say this to be rude but I think the only reason u included Hydreigon was because of recensy bias, it's not that good
like I said, this week might be tough since there isn't much to go off of, with sac regionals done, I can update
Why no raging bolt in regidrago just asking im very new.
too many energy compared the the HP needed to KO the meta
Regidrago being number makes sense, especially with the Haxorus.
haxorus has only gotten worse in the SS format tho right?
bet
I think so
Sad to see the deck I’m bringing to sac got pushed out to #7 😢 I’m In denial tho I feel like with my specs I can do some damage lol
still good tho. t30 decks are viable
Can we get the pinned comment of all the decks please

I wanna use Blastoise any recommendations on how?
try to see if there is a similar style of deck you can try slotting it into, like a Charizard deck (replacing the Zard line for blastoise). After a few diff stage 2 decks, you might find one that works
@ thanks! 🙏🏾
Anyone going to Sacramento regionals?
Jerrick, josh, and I think Dre are going (I might've forgot some)
you know, whats up zack

Why are we pretending that Zard is still good lol
it is...
It won in both JR and SR LAIC 1st, and a top 5 in masters. I think it's still pretty good...
