I just recently bought this camera. I was testing and figuring out how to use it. I thought I was wrong when I was testing the settings, but looking at the tips given, I was right about how to set it... now I need to be okay and used to vlogging in public with the camera instead of my phone...thank you!

I got the mark iii, but am returning it for the m ii now. Almost got the M50, but I want the best for low light without having to buy more lenses.

Really helpful video! Trying to get myself off auto / jpeg and start shooting in raw. What color profile do you think is best for this camera when shooting in raw to color grade. Do you think neutral is the best one or should i create my own in the settings?

Thank you so much! I was wondering how I can improve my video clips! Do you have any advice how to improve the sharpness and also the stability/shakiness of recording a video clip on this camera?
Do you have internal image stabilization turned on? If so then the next way to make it better would be to use a gimbal. Here is a video about a gimbal with the G7x th-cam.com/video/moveoWqpT-w/w-d-xo.html As for sharpness it just depends on why the footage isn't sharp- lighting, focus issues, etc.

hiii i need your help. i bought this camera and use a macbook air 2019 but when i transfer from camera to macbook the quality drops. i am using a good sd card ($45) and a hama card reader which i bought for like $6 and im going insane because i bought the macbook just for this 3 months ago, bought the camera last week and the card reader and sd card this weeks and my pockets are super hurt and it’s literally the shitty quality when i transfer. any advice

Great video. I actually shoot sit down videos mostly with this camera. Shoot in daylight but also do have a ring light for rainy days. I leave the ISO on auto mode. Or would you recommend a different setting? Thanks :)
I think leaving the ISO on auto can work well if you’re moving around thru different lighting situations and don’t have time to manually adjust it, but I’d recommend keeping it as LOW as possible if you can!

I Just found your video and its really helping me. I just wondering what is your export setting on imovie?
I'm using same camera like yours, edit my video in Imovie using macbook pro 2020 but my video quality on youtube is low and always blurry. I asked other people to watch my videos and they also said its blurry unless they changed the resolution to the highest (1080p).
please help me out with this problem ;(
nice video, I tried the IS too high and it doesn't work well. the best was low. the trick in manual I've learnt is to continuously change the iso if walk in the night. I'll be posting a video soon on the same settings with a video shoot. enjoyed watching. thanks.

The sound is terribly bad.
@@uaeskils I don't really find it that bad and I've used the camera for vlogging for a few times now. The only thing worrying me is vlogging when it's windy, I heard the sound becomes very unclear but I hope I can manage that in the future if I need to.

Yep! Us video people have to remember that most camera settings are intended for photo- and the manual mode on the top dial is mostly referring to that. Good luck with the new technique! 😄

As usual you’re informative, helpful and delightful to watch! I’m hoping the new model brings out an acceptable 4K option. I do appreciate the small size, light weight and forward facing screen. It’s truly versatile! Are you using FCPX or something else for editing. How do you make your custom thumbnails?
Thanks so much! And I’m so glad it was helpful ☺️ Yes I’m using FCP to edit, and I use Photoshop for the thumbs.. although there are so many great apps out there now for designing similar things. I think Canva is a pretty good one. I hope the new G7x model has some great 4K too!

Many thanks for a very informative video. Would you recommend putting the G7X Mark ii into manual mode at 24fps and f1.8 aperture then putting the iso into auto so that the exposure is always perfect or are there some issues with this?
Yep that would work too! I actually do it that way sometimes.. It's pretty much the same thing as Movie Mode
