Anyways im ready for next month watching your 50.000 IQ plays on DDD(eez nuts). Good Luck on the next climb!
Actually not just Wizard of Oz, the Landwalker is based on the AT-AT and the giant mechanical Spider from Wild Wild West, and Forernunner is based on the Starship Enterprise and Millennium Falchion. Though the clever one is Wickedwitch, being The Wickedwitch of the East who got a barn dropped on her, combined with Darth Maul who was cut in half. It's why her legs are covered in bandages.

Honestly, I wish they would just make a retrain for some of these broken cards already. For example, Skill Drain and Max C. Why not make the effect "The first time"? Something like; Great C: Discard, draw a card the first time your opponent special summons. Or; Skill Wall: The first monster effect on the field is negated every turn. This means that the cards can just stay banned and we don't need to argue about why a card that is so clearly broken should be back at 3. Btw, great vid. Love your stuff Hardleg. Keep it up!
Awesome videos dude! I really enjoy watching this series. Can I recommend you use either ‘Cubics’, ‘Sacred Beasts’ or even ‘Fire Kings + Yubel’ for the Deck next month? You can destroy Yubel from your hand with the effects of Fire Kings to bring the other forms out from the deck. You can throw ‘Mound of the Bound Creator’ in there too.
You were doing things all wrong, man. What you needed to do was close your eyes, tap your heels together 3 times, and think to yourself "there's no place like plat. 1."
Wished for new Kozmo support for a while - Synchro monsters that treat the pilots as tuners, with art of the classic Star Wars cockpit shot, for example. Also more characters previously left out - one that especially seemed fun, Jack Pumpkinhead as Lando Calrissian, and Han and Leia as Tip/Ozma.
"Let me tell you how much I've come to hate..." "Oh, this is going to be *that* reference, isn't it?" "... circuits in wafer thin layers that..." "Yes. Yes it is."
I was playing full power tearlaments in diamond 3 and got absolutely rolled by the fire king kozmo deck. For a hot sec i actually was thinking they were onto something until i looked at the decklsit 😂
Huh, no vulgar Japanese names this time. I'm surprised Konami hasn't printed any legacy support for the deck. They could give it a quick play that banishes a card, specials a Kozmo from the deck and foolish's a kozmo. Then you can banish that card to avoid a card effect. Also they don't seem to have any extra deck monsters to speak of, I think the strategy could do with an XYZ or a Link monster that isn't generic. It might not push them to tier 0, but it'd give them a better chance if they had some more protection. I haven't been able to do most of my daily missions because people keep scooping. The only loss I've had recently was against Master Duel dot Deck, the pile that makes Barrone, some Yang Zings, Halq -> Aurora -> Borreload end with at least 5 negates "Tenyi Swordsoul" deck, and I opened zero interruptions. I had a Kaiju and that was it. Unless I have a few interruptions I should probably just scoop against those decks. Especially with Nine Pillars the only hope is Super Poly. Games against that pile deck are just pure misery. The combos put you to sleep, then when they have their end board, you have to pray you can out it. Outing it requires several cards, since Nine Pillars can negate anything else that threatens the board, they had two Yang Zing monsters and the Borreload and Baronne can handle most everything else. You basically need exactly Lava Golem and Dark Ruler to hope to break their board, and that's assuming they don't have another way to bring Pillars back online after you do that. Every time I face the Halq -> Auroradon combo I'm just like "I'm so glad Konami nerfed this deck" then there's VFD at home, Protos... *sigh* I know the new Branded/Albaz stuff is good, no questions asked. I had an opponent summon Lubellion with Verte and then he sat there for a few seconds wondering "why can I no summon anything?" not realizing Verte has text. In any case, I have more than a few decks which is surprising considering I'm F2P, but I really don't want to play Sword Soul pile, despite having all the cards for it technically. I have a more fair version of Floo (I don't run Shifter, I'm usually the one scooping against my opponent, deck literally dies to Ash, can't reliably have an answer to Veiler/Imperm other than Book of Moon at this point. Ash is still the best answer to the deck, and if you don't have your called by in hand/set and available to use... I understand why people hate the deck, especially in Master Duel specifically, I don't know why Konami thinks best of 1 is the best format for Yugioh outside of official tournaments). I have most of the cards for Sky Striker, Evil Twin, and Salad. The thing is, outside of Sky Striker and Salad, most of the decks I have, the core are in selection packs. That's why Floo is so popular. It's relatively cheap, don't need any archetypal URs. I only really hate Floo when I play the mirror, I call the Floo mirror the "you haven't died until you've played the Floo mirror, it is even more miserable than just playing against Floo normally" it's funny, because, most decks run Gadarla to play against Floo. A lot of decks have plenty of other answers. Bagooska kills the deck, Skill Drain mostly kills the deck provided no Book (even with Book you'd need ideally all 3 in hand to get all of your effects that you'd want, and probably the Map) I can say, in a Best of 1 format, I'm not sure any Floodgates should have ever been legal. I'd side in Twin Twister/Cosmic Cyclone/other backrow hate, but we don't have side decks... in any case, I've never gotten out of Platinum up until now, and my highest rank ever was Plat 2. I also have a Bird Up deck and a Lunalight deck which was the deck I inadvertently built because the Lyrilusc cards avoided me when opening packs. It's kind of hilarious how when I play that deck I get destroyed by my opponent having all the answers, but when they play it, they never get stopped by anything I do. I really wish Konami would add best of three support in some fashion, and have festivals going all the time, maybe even rerun some older ones with newer ban lists. Even if they kept the gem rewards the same, I don't think it would harm their bottom line. In any case, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Can I offer you an Ash Blossom in these trying times? Perhaps a Maxx C? (frankly with how the OCG has limited Crossout Designator and still have Called By at 2, it's safe to say they probably aren't going to ban Maxx C in Master Duel. If anything, I swore when they announced the game, they mentioned having a TCG format?... trade Maxx C for Mystic Mine... not sure if good trade off...) Also, why can't you make decks with Forbidden cards that haven't been available in game yet? Add those cards to the legacy packs. They're already pretty worthless as is.
I run basically your first deck version, but I've tossed in the Adventure engine as well. It's well over 40 cards that way, but it packs a good amount of punch. I've gotten to Platinum fairly easily, haven't tried getting to Diamond though, since I largely stopped playing before they added it. Might go back and try the climb again sometime.
I always look forward to this series and seeing you try to take a "bad" or outdated deck as far as you could go. Any chance you'd do Crystal Beasts in the future if/when the new support comes to MD?
I enjoyed it good to see a cool archtype used i like its theme like the quantums and i would love to see a lv archtype ladder climb but.... Im not sure thats a good idea lmao
I know how you feel on the Maxx C I held off on making them because like a fool I thought they would Ban it...... After seeing them buff it in the last ban list I had no choice but to make 3.
Yeah this video is honestly reminding me how glad I am I stopped playing Master Duel after Floo and Adventure dropped. More power to you if you enjoy Pile metas, but it's not for me, seeing how many generic negates and floodgates you can spam in the frozen time. Also Maxx C.
Amazing to see all the different ways you can play kozmo which made this a very varied grind at least. Still I think the problem is not so much that Kozmo is outdated, and more that people are a lot more prepared for banish heavy decks in the current meta. With Floo and Swordsoul still prominent a lot of decks are running outs. Hopefully in a banlist or two we can run it back and see Kozmos blast their way to Diamond.
Funny story: I brought a Kozmo deck to my Locals for a Pegasus Challenge Day. (The rules would change every 10 minutes based off slips of paper that the host would draw from a hat.) I had just acquired the exceptionally hard to summon Kozmo Dark Planet, (the actual final boss of the deck, but because of the crazy summoning conditions no one plays it) and I actually was able to get it onto the field. At 4000 attack points, indestructible by card effects, and the ability to negate spell cards, my opponent was sweating because he had no out for it... until the new rule kicked in. "Fiber Jar is activated. All cards in hand, on the field, graveyard, and banished zone are put back into the deck and you each draw five new cards!" I was stunned as I had to put the Dark Planet back into my deck, and I didn't get anything good with my new opening hand, so my opponent kicked my ass. He said after he won the match that the new rule hitting us like that was the greatest stroke of luck he ever had playing the game.
Speaking of DBC, have you actually done Gradius vs B.E.S yet? I'd be surprised if you haven't but given that B.E.S have gotten decent support relatively recently, I kinda doubt the Gradius line stands any kind of chance. Not likely to make for a good DBC now.
Joe, "Most Effective Tactic Available" is a backronym; it's a cool coincidence, but it's not where the term came from. Meta is the root of metagaming and means ~"about itself". The metagame is the game of how to effectively play the game. XKCD has good stuff for demonstrating proper META.

Im so mald that I couldn't catch up a stream live to recommend x3 Savage Colosseum's to the control/otk variant (In case the otk fail) that's what I use in mine and it autowins vs a lot of decks and doesn't hurt you a lot since playing Kozmo you can do all right with 1 3K big idiot on board and push to 2 or 3 monsters just when the OTK is ready.
Anyways im ready for next month watching your 50.000 IQ plays on DDD(eez nuts). Good Luck on the next climb!
I’m glad mbt’s “pride packs” caught on lmao
Actually not just Wizard of Oz, the Landwalker is based on the AT-AT and the giant mechanical Spider from Wild Wild West, and Forernunner is based on the Starship Enterprise and Millennium Falchion.
Though the clever one is Wickedwitch, being The Wickedwitch of the East who got a barn dropped on her, combined with Darth Maul who was cut in half. It's why her legs are covered in bandages.
kozmo is a great deck being able to do so much during the battte face wins a lot of games. The deck struggles hard vs the meta though when they go first
Till this day me ,and bros call Dark Destroyer. *Dank Destroyer*
Finally!! im here for the ladder grinds haha. Lets go!
next week, im gonna drive those cargo trains in germany. Choo choo, to big yootoobe vid producer joe. I will try to find my time watching your weeklies, but i cant promise.
Whatever you can watch, I'll appreciate it :)
Keep it up!
Watching Prank-Kids get slapped in the face with a Maxx-C is profoundly cathartic
Only saw Kozmo in PvP once, it was a replay during the Synchro Festival and the Kozmo player was beating a Virtual World player
"...this skill drain built"
Me: *immediately pukes*
I ran Kozmo for so long and I always believe with abit more support it could run strong again.
the edits here are amazing
Thanks to Civit. He does a good job.
"Let me tell you how much I've come to hate..."
"Oh, this is going to be *that* reference, isn't it?"
"... circuits in wafer thin layers that..."
"Yes. Yes it is."
Glad someone recognizes it.
Que Hulk Hogan: “
Oooooh Broottthhhheerrr it’s THE
H-A-R-D L-E-G…..JOEEEEEE!!!!! 🙌🔥💪”
Of this archetype the level 1-5 monsters r so-so, and the level 6-10 monsters r very fucking filthy.
Yay been excited for this one
Love this series
This video was great but the Arby's rant elevated this to top tier
When the skill is drained
The siegnfeild or however it's spelled was hilarious 🤣
That kozmoking board is pretty neat.
Kozmofoes had me grinning for its entire run time, you bet your ass I'm gonna try to pilot (heh) it for fun.
I was playing full power tearlaments in diamond 3 and got absolutely rolled by the fire king kozmo deck. For a hot sec i actually was thinking they were onto something until i looked at the decklsit 😂
TH-cam recommended this video to me when I searched for "Psycho."
Makes sense.
Do fortune ladies so I can steal a competent list
You could try Fortune Lady Exodia.
I don't think I could make a competent Fortune Lady deck. That archetype is pretty underpowered.
*sigh*
I know the new Branded/Albaz stuff is good, no questions asked.
Bagooska kills the deck, Skill Drain mostly kills the deck provided no Book (even with Book you'd need ideally all 3 in hand to get all of your effects that you'd want, and probably the Map)
I can say, in a Best of 1 format, I'm not sure any Floodgates should have ever been legal.
They're already pretty worthless as is.
love these type of videos maybe the next one could be how far could u go with Destiney board
Next one has already started and it's D/D/D
I've always known about FK Kozmo but never knew the combo, pretty neat
Love the Lego Star Wars sounds!
You can thank editor Cvit for that. All his idea.
1:40:13 Next time remember that the thing you click to set a card as a pendulum scale looks special.
I too start to feel maybe A.M. was right after getting sacked by Floo for the nth time.
Let's go another one of these vids love them
Would love to see your take on a mermail build. They're the most fun deck in the game imo.
I played them a couple years ago on What a Deck. They were decent then, but haven't gotten much support in the meantime.
I hope Vampire or Gimmick Puppet will have a chance to shine. Shark deck would be interesting to see as well.
1:52:03 Vanisher really lives up to their name.
37:57 I’m on the same crafting Maxx C for Crossout Designater target and I get Royal Finish out of that
I run basically your first deck version, but I've tossed in the Adventure engine as well. It's well over 40 cards that way, but it packs a good amount of punch. I've gotten to Platinum fairly easily, haven't tried getting to Diamond though, since I largely stopped playing before they added it. Might go back and try the climb again sometime.
How have I never noticed that Joe hasn't been using Maxx C lol
Finally,, Kozmo in masterduel ladder o yeahh 🤜👌
I tried Kozmofoes in the new event and I really like it.
On my new MD Account I've built Kozmo for the Events and it's usually quite good.
4:06 Vic Viper, secret Numeron tech.
I always look forward to this series and seeing you try to take a "bad" or outdated deck as far as you could go. Any chance you'd do Crystal Beasts in the future if/when the new support comes to MD?
Maybe. It's up to the Patrons to decide what deck I play.
I remember hating playing against cosmo before I stopped playing
Ive been waiting for this one XD
Hopefully it was worth the wait :)
A sad state of affairs to be certain.
Never underestimate Ancient Warriors :D
Hopefully in a banlist or two we can run it back and see Kozmos blast their way to Diamond.
ive been playing Kozmo since N/R Festival, and i do love the deck, but ive never gotten higher than plat 5... Good Luck Joe
after watching: oh look joe was stuck in the same rank! funny how that works
Watching this makes me understand where angry orc Joe ranting at a ban list at 3 am came from. This deck broke you. Please take some time to lie down and play a nice simple deck, like D/D/D. I know you like reading so the deck is perfect (also a lot of fun).
Wake up babe, new Hardleg
Every time you say “kozmojo” I keep thinking watch mojo
I’m so hyped for ddd
45:33 I wonder how many assessment points he got. probably relatively high, with an LP on the brink bonus.
46:35 technically 50% more, not 30%. Math is hard. I often fail it, so I have no right to be pointing this out.
