Good subs offer excellent pitch definition and even, linear sound at all bass frequencies without exaggeration. Plus quick transient response and quick start/stop of bass frequencies. There's far more to good bass besides "one note" bass and heavy boom. Accuracy is rare and hard to find in a good sub.
Of course but no one cares about this stuff if you are a normal person and not an audiophile. The z906 is made for movies and PC usage and not really for Hifi music listening, all this system is about being cheap while still getting a fairly decent sound. I've heard subs from Velodyne, Klipsch, Magnat, Audiopro, Tangband and Seas. And trust me my friend, none of these subs stand out in terms of accuracy, tuning and loudness compared to the z906 despite all being much more expensive, except for the Seas one but that one is a 10" anyways and not even comparable. All the z906 needs is a better and larger enclosure.
@@gizmo3209 I already heard Magnat ones and they were really really precise. But couldnt do really low ends + not rumbly. Also heard the z906 which is really good for the price but i could hear a clear difference. The z906 rumbled quite more and wasnt that fast. In terms of price the magnat ones were about 8 times the price but with a twin tower instead. I also have an older Speedlink Gravity system with 2 x 4 inch subs in it and it sounds better then expected. (used it only costs about 10 - 20€)
Generally no home audio is capable of producing this kind of lows especially decaf songs but really impressed with the logitech on quality of deep bass!
There are many home audio systems that are far better in terms of lows and overall bass but the Logitech is still very impressive and really good for what it is

make a 333 box for the sub, it will sound much better. i guarantee ;) if u dont know what a 333box is, its 33liter box with a 3" aeroport. i made the 333 box for my friends z906 and it sounds way better than with the original box and goes also lower

Great video because I'm about to buy one, it just sucks that it does not have HDMI, thats crazy. alittle advice... if you want more base, move the sub about a foot or two away from the corner, and then try it. maybe you new that already.
@Qucid And that's where you are wrong. I have a Klipsch Bar 48, a Audiopro Acebass B1.36 and a Teufel IP300SW sub. All of them are 8" subs. The Klipsch system costs 600€ new, the Audio Pro subwoofer alone costs 550€ and the whole Audio Pro system I have costs 2000€. The Logitech Subwoofer is the most cheap in terms of materials and build quality but can easily compete with all of them in terms of loudness and subbass. It actually beats the Teufel in loudness and it's on par with the other two, I couldn't tell a difference if I was to listen to them bilnd in terms of bass
Dang. SO MUCH EGGCRATE FOAM!!!!! I have the same stuff about the same thickness I'd say. covering all the walls I can. I still need more though. even some on the ceiling. my room is CRAZY ECHOY! like a freaking auditorium I recently moved my two 12-inch 250W RMS subwoofers to the far corner of my room behind my sitting position. the bass is more than 10x louder now and hits so much harder and deeper! before my subs were under my desk and it sounded weak and pathetic under 40hz now it hits hard down to 20hz! and shakes everything!
Good sound.But if you push the sound to loud.The system overheat after 10 min.Not good if you want play the music very loud.If you are in apartment that ok.
No it will not overheat. The heat is completely normal and does not do any harm to anything. I have this system for over 5 years and it works and sounds just like the day I bought it. People saying that it overheats is only nonsense and "half knowledge". Like I said it's normal for hardware like that to reach up to 80°C
Hi, I bought these speakers and it doesn't play anything on YT . I manually have to take a song and play it otherwise it won't work properly. Also I tested some games and the subwoofer sound is very low. Do you know how I can get maximum volume ? All satellites are working fine it's just the subwoofer being way low. I think it's not a faulty unit since on speaker test it worked nice but on TH-cam or in videos , the sound is too low. Any idea ? I am pretty sure its a configuration issue and I can't seem to configure it properly

Currently using MSI b350 gaming plus motherboard. All my satellites are working fine. Also when I plug in the wires, I get realtek audio manager which shows line speaker or subwoofer out options. @@D3VAN369 I send you a link with a screenshot: puu.sh/GVO1T/daa2c6efc7.png You see these are the connectiors of your motherboard and the 6 circular inputs you see there are for the soundsystem. The top left one which is called "Line in", is the input you need to connect the soundsystem to, I marked it with a red arrow. Now you have 2 options to connect the logitech z906. Either with an AUX cable, which you connect to the console of the Logitech z906, the console is that plastic case with the volume knob and everything, on the right side of that case, you have two outputs, the bottom one is the one where you put the aux cable in. The other end of the aux cable then goes to the "Line in" connector of the motherboard. Then you have to manually select the "AUX" input on the Logitech z906. And on your computer you also need to choose the right playback source in the control panel. Second option is to choose an RCA to aux cable. Connect the RCA cable with the connectors on the backplate of the subwoofer and then put the other end of the cable into the "line in" on your motherboard. Then also manually choose the right inputs on the Logitech z906 and your pc.
I have Logitech Z623 and it has very thumping bass. Does this one has that too? I Don't want boomy bass but chest thumping deep bass which is felt not just heard.
Haha yeah, I can still remember when I filmed it I was like "yeah lets make a short bass video without much effort, just to upload something" I never expected it to get that much views because its pretty bad compared to my other videos, the youtube algorythm truly is something weird lol crazy that this video also still gets nearly 2000 views every 24 hours even today I kinda miss those old days when all I wanted was listening to bass with this Logitech z906 and just filming it alongside, nowadays I dont really use this system anymore, its just catching dust, Im glad yours are still getting used tho
Thats pretty normal, pretty much every amp gets hot when its working hard. I suggest you to maybe get a heatsink or even cooling fans. That would already solve that issue even tho heat is pretty normal
@@gizmo3209 after the researches that I made The fault comes from the 5V of the power supply card, this one is provided by a LM1116 type IC, the voltage is not stable and falls to 3V after 5 minutes of operation. The culprits are the 2 capacitors of 47uF (which are not domed) and which are located at the input and output of the 5V regulator. These capacitors are out of order because of the two power resitances of 5 and 12 V which are close by and which become very hot.
@@criminalh3128 The heat gets created by the electricity flowing through the various components, thats not a "fault", thats completely normal Especially amplifiers, I own atleast 10 different ones and they all produce heat and they all get terribly hot when operating on high power. Amps arent known to be efficient. Just add a heatsink and fine is. Most amps already have a heatsink or venting but this one doesent so adding one will help. Some of the power gets transformed and lost into heat, you get that with pretty much any electrical device, some more some less.

Also the actual power amplifier board of the z523 is fixed inside the enclosure to the bottom rather than the backplate so the heat doesent really get "transported" to the backplate, so you cant tell how warm the amp of the z523 is from the outside. The z906 also has a brushed metal backplate which leads heat much better than the tiny backplate on the z523
Depends, JBL speakers are often overpriced and only hyped up, I dont like them at all honestly. Altough I purchased several JBL speakers before, I wouldnt buy any of them again and personally also dont recommend them. Logitech only makes a computer speakers mostly, but overall they are pretty decent for the price, cant really go wrong with those if you dont want to spend much money.

In this case it reduces the vibrations on my wall because it is made out of plaster which is prone to vibrations, the acoustic dampening reflects the "bass" instead of the raw wall itself so it serves as a protection pretty much but at the same time it improves the sound.

Hello I'm happy with this system, but the amp on the subwoofer is getting terribly hot. I'm afraid the product won't last long.
Thats pretty normal, pretty much every amp gets hot when its working hard.
