    I have improved at pool so much by watching Effrin play and how he moves the cue ball around. I no longer have to hit those power draws but once in a long while because I’m getting the correct angle on most of them. Learning how to go forward a lot more like he does

    No offense to this guy but he reminds me one of the reasons why I quit apa. Sorta painful to sit there watching someone analyze each one of their shots for a minute, then execute so bad missing, and then no shapes. Worth it to watch efren play though!

    ♥♥ In my opinion (which is probably worth about as much as 2 slices of un-buttered bread), Colin 'screwed up" on his very first shot in this video.
    I think he SHOULD HAVE caromed his first ball off the striped ball. That would removed the solid ball from that corner, allowing the #12 ball to utilize that corner pocket.

    Colin hard to watch...Agreed! He spends 5 min deciding *something?* and then shoots quickly and misses easy ones! He manages to string a few good strokes in there and then horrible position. I suppose you could say he is paying $100 per set to get practice playing Efren.

      One aspect of these pool videos, is the commentator is talking to the people who have been in the pool community for a long time, and not the people who are new or not in the billiards culture. The commentators are congregational, loving the community, talking to their friends, and people they'd like to be closer to. It's so sweet....for them, at least. It's as if they don't want the public "horning in".
      That's what it was like at the trap and skeet ranges, and the cold shoulder they gave to the public was successful. So much so that the sport is virtually dead.

  • @wdiddy1
    @wdiddy1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Colin is getting it from everyone in the comments but at least he can say he played against Efren and he won a couple of games! Not many of us can say that, keep at it Colin and you will get better, maybe pay for some coaching. i would love to play Efren but not sure that I would win more games, I think Efren plays according to the competition, he didn't want to run all these guys out and not let them shoot.

    Watching Efren play is no longer exciting and his shots is also lack of vitality. When he ages his shots, his playing style is no longer exciting like when he was in his 30s and 40s. The aggressiveness and the fineness that were part of him once are all vanished as time progress. I guess this could say to all sportsmen. Certainly, age robs you of vitality and aggressiveness. I try to look for Efren's and Bustamante's videos when they were in their 30s and 40s. They are classics. Oh, yes, those were the days, my friends. :)
