You essentially are just masking inputs in your blockstring for when the screen freeze occurs. When the screen freeze occurs, your standard blockstring will not come out. The game withholds whatever you input. So whatever you input after the freeze will come out instead. IE: Ky cS > fS > 5D. You want to get cS > fS, but if the counter occurs the 5D will override. It can be done at different timings but the idea is to get the input to only come out during hit stop.
