I literally just chopped 2 feet off my hair and got your hair cut. And I just love it. Subscribed to your channel to learn how to style it. This hair cut rox. I have a Noncurable blood cancer and go to chemo 3x MTH to stay alive. My hair was starting to fall out and had lots of breakage. So I I cut it short to ease into not having any hair eventually. Aha! I have shoulder length hair with slight layers.
Seeing how you do the waves near the front part of the face to keep it from poufing helped me tremendously.
I got to thank you for this tutorial. I’ve been trying to achieve this kind of curl on my very short bob for a long time. I’ve tried curling iron, flat iron, crimpers. I could never get it just right. The crimpers got it the closest. I just tried what you showed and bingo! This is the secret to keeping the ends from sticking out! Thank you! Thank you! You did it so fast I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do it, but no worries. I’ve tried a similar twisting motion before, but wasn’t doing it exactly right. It amazes me how tricky this could be on short hair.

Looked as though she curled as usual then pull the strand off the barrel and twisted it. But I could tell if she twisted the strand I. The same direction of the curl or went opposite?

This is the tutorial I’ve needed! Now can I get a very, very slowed down, step by step tutorial on how you do that curl/flip/twist thing with the iron? Because I have watched, rewatched, rewound, and paused this video about a hundred times, and I’ll be doggoned if I can duplicate what you’re doing.

@@atadlish If you set the speed at 75% it's a little easier to catch that twist motion...
if anything, you can also curl and then grab the end of your hair and pull down right away after releasing it, her technique is just faster. hope that helps!

Interesting technique! I have a ton of hair and too much volume is definitely an issue for me when curling.

Rara Avis it’s never as easy for those of us with thick hair. I use her technique though, for the most part, and it works best with thick hair. The only difference is that I straighten the bottom sections of my hair and curl the top layers. I need about 5-6 sections and if I didn’t straighten some of it, there would be way too many curls.
Amber MacAdams same here. The bottom layers have to be straight for me or it will be too puffy. I wonder if she uses other products to diminish the frizz.
Wasn’t sure if this would work on black hair ( I have a Brazilian Blowout) but tried it and it came out just like the video. Love it!

I have no idea how to use a curling iron so I used my curling wand instead. It’s pretty tricky but keep practicing & trying! You’ll get it

I’ve always wanted these kinds of curls and could never figure it out! I always made really big curls and curled all my hair in the same direction. Plus I held my hair in the curling irons instead of making quick curls. I can’t want to try this tomorrow!

All I can do is watch in amazement as you’re grabbing your next section of hair while you’re still curling the previous section. Oh to be that skilled with any hair tool! 🤯🤣🙌🏻

basically, she just released the top of the curl by unwrapping the curler and kept the bottom of the strands in the iron and pulled through

I’m using my husband’s account and I love this video but when I do exactly this technique even if I’ve used lots of hairspray it looks soo different by the time I get to work!

I actually blow-dry the curl into my hair with a round brush that has a metal barrel, and I do that flip twist thing. It gets dry and curled all in one.
Even with my shoulder length hair mine gets tangled with one f those things.
This is a very unique technique. I can't wait to try it!
