Good man Chris. I am down on the peninsula at the moment. Fished Minard last night and we had loads of dogs, a strap conger and a small brill. Was good craic but overall the fishing has not been all that good with two complete blanks at Kinord and only a couple of pin whiting from the breakwater at Dingle.
I've never thought kinard was any good personally. I think the place is over rated. What are ye hoping to catch? I'd fish for the congers in dingle for the craic they are a lot of fun. The beaches seem slow at the moment I think the settled weather can't be helping
@@Inshore_Angler Hi Chris we are fishing for a variety really, we are staying on the dingle side so I have been fishing the marks that are local. Was hoping for a turbot of Kinard as I have had them there before, but I think you are right in saying it is over rated. Had a bit of luck in the estuary at Cappagh today with 3 sea trout in about 45 mins of fishing. I might give the congers a go at dingle, and maybe try the lighthouse for a few rays. Any Advice?
Chris O'Sullivan, The Inshore Angler ah good now to be fair, haven’t blanked yet anyway since end of lockdown🤞got a 12lb Huss last Saturday night, delighted with that catch, be hard to beat I’d say, used the tips from the Valentia video for that one 👍
@@niallmcanallen3117 that's a super huss I think my biggest would only be the same I'd love to get one of them real big 16/17lbers. Delighted the video helped I speak some sense occasionally
Hi Chris, heading to Tralee for 4 days end of next week. Definitely going to try fenit pier. We are staying on banna strand ,i was just wondering if there are any turbot or plaice around. Any info greatly appreciated. Its along time since i fished in the kingdom.
Hi Ken plaice are a hard one to target in kerry specially at this time of year. Barrow and the left of banna would be as good a spot as any to try for a good turbot I've had all my best one in them 2 places over the years
Hi Damien I was fishing the coming tide from just after low. This wasn't deliberate it just happened to be when I had some free time I had intended to fish derrymore for rays but it fell thru.
@@damienbrown2894 always worth a trip out. When I can I fish one rod with tiny hooks and one proper rod for bigger fish. Often the small rod keeps me fishing and entertained on the quiet days
Hi Tim. Personally it's not for me. I've no right to stop anyone from eating ray but I feel that there is so little meat off a Ray that it's not worth it. Plus they are such a beautiful fish its a nice feeling to watch them swim off after a few pics. It's strictly catch and release for me 👍
nice catch bro..new supporter here
Hey Jeff thanks man and thanks for taking the time to comment too really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the videos
Nice one Chris! I've had serious troubles with our internet connection, so playing catch-up with the TH-cam. Stay safe & well.

FairPlay Chris, watching all the vids just back at the sea fishing again after 14 year break and they’re really helping 👍👌😂
That's good to hear man there is a lot of guys dusting off the rods after a break away. How are you getting on after the comeback?

Have you had to take a rest from catching all those monsters !!! I always had Fenit down as a big fish venue, but I guess times have changed, sadly.
I think it still has its days but it seems that the day of multiple big fish has sadly passed. There is still some rare red letter days there though

@@Inshore_Angler Thanks for the heads up. Any tide which produces best on fenit pier and which end if you were hoping for a ray.
How late Monday night was that Chris😁
I think I was home by about 1230
Hi Chris. Can you tell me what time you fished Fenit regarding the tide. Would it have being 2 hours before high tide?

Chris, what are your thoughts on eating Ray ? Some people love them as skate
