Since March of 2019 the NH-90 Is the only Helicopter type used by the Belgian Air Force for Sea and Rescue after the retirement of the Seaking.
Here you see a full demo of them at their homebase at Koksijde.
The 40 squadron has been stopped and now they fly under the 1St Wing of Beauvechain in the near future their homebase will be closed and they will operate than from Ostend Airport .

- After every mission over sea the NH-90 is completely Washed by the fire brigade .This is necessary to prevent corrosion.
