That Country and Rallye rip my heart straight out...
Thanks for visiting, it's always good to see you! And thanks for letting me share the car (and wheel) collections - sorry not sorry for hoarding the Harlequins ;-)
And shout out to the Advance Auto store that you visited - I've rummaged through their storage area looking for random hoses and belts that will fit last minute engine swaps many many times!
Love the random Halfords box out the back :)
Something a little different today. Hope y'all enjoy. Turbo parts for the black R32 are on the WAY!!!
Trying to get my hands on a decent Touareg TDi up here in WPG Manitoba, so hard to find one rust free. Thanks for the video, i could watch an hour long video of your mates shop! So many stories
Did Jaime have p/n 199 398 500 in stock?
@@kfrdubber no, but I do have the VW Curry Ketchup :-D
Very cool, really jealouse of Jamie and all his cool stuff.
@@JamieOrr Look who it is! I am super jealous, and not just of the cars but all the knowledge you have amassed that lets you work on them.
Yeah i saw Jamie and crew build that Golf here in Johannesburg... ✌✌
Seeing the vr6 Citi Golf makes me smile
I ❤️ Rims is something totally different over here on Scotland!!
Parts road trips are the best road trips!
You can always tell that someone's a successful technician when coming in with a box of donuts is one of their primary social skills.
Also worked a lot of retail. So any time I can try and make someone’s day better I do. Too many customers are not awesome

Not just donuts, Duck Donuts.....www.duckdonuts.com/about-us/our-story/
Very cool road trip.
Was so pleased to see one of our blue Citi golfs with GP plates sitting in the USA.
The Cti R was 100 Hp, those were fun times.
LOL it's scythe a cool little car!
Still many thousands of those Citigolfs running on the roads here in South Africa, even though they are all getting a little old, but the aftermarket spares are still around, and you can get almost the entire vehicle as second source parts.
Wow, the Citi with the VR6 is awesome.......noticed the Citi (Golf 1) when I was in Namibia a few years ago.
Also they had the T3 with an Fivecylinder engine........
It’s a rad car!!!
All way good when You Tube Guys get together Nice One
3 Arlequins! Love his purple caddy, work of art made the nerdy way
Thanks!!
Nice Dude! That Golf Rallye is Sick! but my favorite is the Blue MK1. Cool trip thanks for sharing.
We got about 25mpg on our trip from Indiana to Florida last week in our 2010 Q7 TDI.
I really appreciate this guys enthusiasm for the CITI golf thanks from SA my man.
Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the road trip along with you, except for the drive time. Enjoyed the tour of the other shops. Keep up the good work!
3:34 Ahh the good old AP 1.6 8v, what a noble engine , i had one in my vw pointer (or logus if yoy where from brazil) an its awesome reliable , cheers from argentina men , nice saveiro
The guy's shop with the multi-color paint job on the two Golf's is very nice. Pottstown is an hour south of me. I'm in Bethlehem next to Allentown. Would of been nice to meet "Meet and Greet" over lunch to chat. I enjoy watching your video's and the humongous cool and crazy Eric The Car Guy video's. He, he. You have a nice shop at home that seen on recent video's. I wish was very mechanically inclined and more computer savy to work on cars. I can oil change a car but can't do break pads, etc.
Thank you for existing Jamie Orr, and you HumbleMechanic.
04:35 I had one of them. A 1989 MK1 Golf Citi Sport 1.8 litre. Got rid of the two tone colour though (wasn't a fan of it)
- Cape Town, South Africa.
Hendrick!!! What’s up Buddy!! Awesome to see you! Great Video!
One love Auto and Bryan port is the man!! Woot woot! 😎👊

@@HumbleMechanic Stay safe Amigo! Shout out from SLC, UT
Good filming there at the shop like the camera angles.
Thank you
Holy crap, I have never been this earlier for a youtube video! Worth it!
AWESOME!!!
I was a VW/Audi tech in Canada 🇨🇦 for 47 years, I done my fair share of heater cores on VW Foxes, not a fun job. I knew about the recall but didn’t know it was life long.
Road trip. Heck yeah.
Wow Traveled to my neck of the woods, wish i could've met ya! One love auto group has been great, bought many parts over the years and recently got my Mk4 1.8t Jetta Stage 2 tune. loving it, and Bryon is a good guy.
Thanks for sharing. Always love your videos and I started working on my Tiguan because of your inspiration!
Thank you
Thanks Charles for the interesting tour! I like way you explain and share) I sold my VW Golf but still enjoy watching your videos. Cheers!
Thank you so much!!!!!
I love you passion and ambition towards VW
we dont have donuts at are part stores , your blessed , great trip and lots of cool stuff
Good stuff Charles, thank you for the spin and the take back in time :):)
Bring it on ..
OMG that guy has an original Mk2 Rallye?! Seriously? Those things are so rare and cool!
Yea.. Harry's you pull it.
Great video Charles....you meet with Jaime
Great vid thanks always the best content and info 🤙
Honestly, I was never really into VW's. After following this channel It's definitely sparked some interest. Thanks Charles love the videos! From NC 🇺🇸
Oh sweet where in nc

I need a built 02j or 02m for my soon-to-be turbo 12v. Its just so hard to find any and I don't know a whole lot about transmissions, or at least not enough to build one. Glad you found yours! I hope it holds up well.
For sure need a LSD
@@HumbleMechanic Yes 100%. The only problem is that when things start to grip up, that's when stuff starts to break.
I love road trips! I wanted to see the events on the way back though!
Hah not too much shenanigans. But we did stop in MD for amazing crab cakes
I’m a simple man. I see Humble, I hit like.
My dude
Love from south Africa
i drove to PA for chicago for a nissan truck so worth it
Jamie is a beast
I can not wait for the black r32 videos!!
Me too!!! I’m hoping to have parts here soon
@@HumbleMechanic will you be fitting limited slip diffs? And poly/delrin bushes?
Charles - I want to go to there! I'm going to have to make a day trip to Orchid Euro. Would Jamie entertain a fellow enthusiast for a bit even if I don't need any parts. I just want to see his collection!
Yassss
hey it's the dude from that ECS video series
Virginia is a huge state, I remember on my way to Myrtle Beach it took us forever to get through.
It takes, from rocky mount NC, an hour to get to VA, and 2 to get to SC. The border to richmond is 1 hour 20 minutes, and richmond to fredericksburg is approximaty the same.
Virginia and north carolina are about as "tall" on I-95 as each other.
Hey humbleMechanic, if you dont mind may i ask some stuff about vw ?
Firstly what's your opinion on vw polo mk1/2 breadvan.
Secondly, if you were to buy either na 1.3 petrol breadvan or gen 2 golf 1.6l (in about same condition, for about same price) which one would you pick?
Anyways, great video as always.
Great video.
I saw a car being pushed by another car last week.
So weird. Ha
@@HumbleMechanic when I saw this the two drivers were smart enough to put a tire between the two cars.
You got a dedicated cameraman to follow you around.
Had a buddy come with me on this trip.
Great video
Where can I find and R32 engine and how to ship it to Brazil? Unfortunaly we don't got that version here, so we have to improvise huh?!
I did not know that Jamie was "Orchid Euro"...
Well I'll be dipped.....
When it's faster to just drive to the places to get part lol. If something was a couple months out for shipping i'd just msg them asking if i could drop on by, if they had some in stock. Crazy shipping nowadays and it's always ''sorry it may not arrive on this day due to unexpected circumstaces ect as in the rona which is confusing
Big fan❤️
My parents had a blue CitiGolf like that in the 1990s...
I also had a 2007 model 1.4i CitiGolf (in boring plain white - AAVZZZ17Z7U016683, if someone wants to dig up details) for a few years. (The later models had a different dash, I think Gol-based) Fun to drive, but not especially safe.
(I currently have a 2004 Golf Mk5 2.0 TDI with the BKD engine, which I might keep - VW South Africa stopped selling diesels and most manual transmission models has been discontinued...)
Hopefully that transmission was comfortable.... 😏
Hahah you know it
Rainbow vw yours? I love that car. Shouldve played it for more than 2 mins 😂
Jamie has a lt35 he is crazy
Are u doing full engine rebuild on 3.2 l or just inspecting the engine.
Full rebuild! The block and head are at the machine shop now. I should have them back mid week. Then it's game time!
@@HumbleMechanic 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Should’ve stopped by York, PA and helped me figure out these o2 faults I keep getting
nice episode
thanks
That’s my home town
I want more volkswagens but my car collections got so out of control already.......8 1g and 2g awd dsm's, A60 celica, 2 square body gm's, 2nd gen cummins, and my mk7 gti. I think I need help.
interesting 👌👌
This video makes me miss my Touareg TDI and want an R32.
Liqui Holy Shit! ❤😁
@HumbleMechanic do you know a guy named John Snyder in MD? huge MK4/VW enthusiast
The name doesn’t ring a bell
He is a hack compared to the people that Charles deals with here.
@@theGinthebuilding ive never had a issue with john, pretty straight forward with me. actually he helped me swap my front end on my GTI in his front yard
Noice!
wow , amazing :()
95 woes. I live dow in south Florida and avoid it at all costs. There was a wrong way driver last week.
Dang. Wrong way on 95 is 💀
DC traffic: my everyday life.
Ugh I’m so sorry
@@HumbleMechanic At least I can get down your way from time to time. My folks live in the general area.
This man looks and speaks like the guy from the slammed MK7 series from ECS but has different hair.
That’s the same dude pre COVID. Haha
@@HumbleMechanic 😅😂
why no Corrado in the collection
I’ve tried. The deal always falls apart
You were down the street from me
My boss at chico Vw might sell his harlequin....
what kind of engine is in you "big ol' SUV" if 24 mpg is not bad? haha
Oh you can’t even attempt to tell me dc has the worst traffic. I live in SoCal.
Hahah I’ve driven in that too. But something about DC makes me rage 😂
Just subbed to Jamie after the caddy video and I was going hey that thing looks familiar. Serendipity is a funny bitch.
Hahahaha amazing
Who needs to hope they go to heaven when they die when you could just pull up here and enter VW heaven lol
I thought you were in Cali. Obviously not.
Those don’t look like Harley Quinn... ha ha
Lol
Hell yeah Pennsylvania! That's where I am at? Come check out my Audi! Lol
The polo is not the european version of the golf! The polo is just not sold in america because you only buy big ans slurping cars, so volkswagen never sold the polo in the USA.
First!😁
YASSSWS!!!! NICE JOB
Vote RED! :)

Man, every VW fan always just hoards parts.
But ill bet you've never seen a guy riding a bike down I-95.
No but not shocked
@@HumbleMechanic Theres video of it on TH-cam, pretty funny seeing that in Miami traffic.
@ Yeah these guys were nuts I think, happened during traffic jams so maybe they thought it would be funny I guess, pretty stupid on their part either way though. Videos are on TH-cam though.
Trade donut for parts.
Oooof the audio in this video is sooo bad
Sadly you can’t always control the audio in these situations
I never understood the appeal of harlequin golfs. They’re interesting, but they’re not really attractive
You guys need girlfriends. lol
lol
Dc sucks!!!!
