How to Use SureMembers for Courses (and much more)

Do you need a full course platform? Over the years I've learned that the answer for most people is actually "no". In many cases you're protecting a few videos, or some downloadable assets, or want to run a workshop or short mini course and don't need all of the complexity of a full course platform.
For a streamlined solution, I recommend SureMembers. Combined with Presto Player and SureCart, it's a phenomenal way to protect content and even launch courses.
In this video I walk you through the process of creating an access group, building a page with a video playlist, selling access to that content, and providing an easy account management environment for your customers.

That’s not a feature of this setup. Maybe in the future there will be a “Watched” or “finished” feature for Presto Player.

Part of the answer to that question is the same reason why someone would want chocolate over vanilla: preference. The other part of the answer is the mismatch of needs. If the point of the video were to declare which was the best course platform then the answer right now would be Thrive Apprentice. But that wasn't the point. This presentation was framed from the perspective that some people don't need or want a complete course solution. They just want to sell a couple videos as lead magnets or a workshop, or they want a super simple course presentation on one single page with a playlist.
Half or more of the people that I work with do not want to use a complete course platform and go through the effort of setting up "templates" and building user login setup, etc. They don't want to have to connect their shopping cart tool to another tool with webhooks, or api keys, or set up what happens when someone cancels with an automation or a workflow. They want something lightweight and quick to set up.
