      The answer is yes, but how you do it depends on how they were added to Circle. For example, if it's a Circle Paywall then Zapier can push that info to a Wordpress tool.

    Great video. I have tested the Pro version for some time now, and it's pretty nice how quickly I can built a site. I think I might upgrade to the Business version especially after watching your video. But I have some key considerations that I would like to ask you about before I buy. I used to be a happy user of Astra Theme but a year ago I went all-in on GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks because of their amazing way of utilising the block editor in a dynamic way that results in very clean and not least fast websites. It fits really well with my way of developing websites in my small one-man agency, and my skills in css and php. Therefore, I think I will primarily use ZipWP for the entire initial process of generating a solid starting point in the form of wireframes. But I will probably subsequently build everything from scratch in GeneratePress/GenerateBlocks, thus skipping Astra and Spectra. Alternatively, let ZipWP generate the first version of a clickable website (possibly by keeping it in black/white/grey colours) and then convert it to GeneratePress/GenerateBlocks. What is your comment on that?

    I'm new to this. I hear all of you who are upset about things changing, especially the pricing model, but if you're lucky enough to be grandfathered in, then that's great. I'm looking at moving from Thinkfic, (which is now a publicly traded company on the stock exchange,) and tried Podia for a minute. It's clunky, does a lot but nothing well, to a WP LMS. After looking at a number of options WP a WordPress option is so much better, and so far this one looks the best for my needs. Thinkific kept taking away features and options, but the nail in the coffin was requiring their own payment gateway that does calculate state taxes, but charges you .5% more if you have to pay them or not. I teach live, so I am exempt from sales tax where I live. It's been a nightmare. I already have a WP site, so switching to this will save me $600-$850/year depending on if I add quizzes to apprentice, which is all I need. The other WP options are more expensive, look to require more costly add ons, and seem more clunky to use. I also hate this pricing model, but everyone is using it, so I just do the math and know what I'm going to pay.

    I need to say, I love Thrive and at the same time I do regret not to have switched away from Thrive last year when I encountered massive styling and editing issues. Especially, when you do heavy editing with moving, deleting and adding elements and template elements, the editor gets confused easily and you have to reload the page to get back into a consistent state. Issues that I had already reported starting from 2017 have not improved yet. The undo and redo buttons in the editor destroy more than they help. I cannot find any good reason for now to recommend Thrive to a new customer of mine, once for the upfront high price and second for all the bugs in the software, especially the CSS styling and the inconsistency between what is rendered and what values are displayed in the side bar of the editor. Often, I just cannot remove a shadow from a menu item or just change a text color. From Thrive support, I often get a CSS snippet as a workaround, but the issue is not properly fixed afterwards. For me it is not WYSIWYG, really. Once the styling becomes inconsistent, I have to delete the element or page and recreate it from scratch. What should take just a few hours to design took me days or weeks including the communication with the Thrive support. The support is very quick and helpful, that is not the point. However, they often cannot reproduce the issue as they start from a fresh installation. I think they have lost control over their complex CSS styling concept and how the styling is inherited throughout the different levels of elements, especially when using Architect, Theme Builder, Apprentice and the various templates and blocks together in scenarios, which are not basic use cases. I doubt that their templates are properly tested and reviewed when they are released. They look good initially, but technically, I found too many bugs inside until now when further editing them. As a summary, what I would like to see is that Thrive would do an intensive code refactoring to remove the inconsistencies and shortcomings not only inside Thrive but also in conjunction with other plugins and the WP block builder, even though this would mean delaying new features. Is there anyone who has experienced similar issues? Anyway, Doug, what would be the alternative to Apprentice?

    I've been Thrive user for over 5 years, and I stopped building new sites using this ecosystem. Similarly to you, I can justify banking on the company that entered the spiral of death ever since it was acquired. There's only one thing that's required to stop the mass exodus and make people reconsider: - Public roadmap. - People in the FB group have requested this hundreds of times and it was always met with either "we don't like to be held accountable with deadlines" or "our competitors will steal". Both of these are weak excuses, so if the company is not planning to go away, this is the first step. Other than this, we need tools that move with times, make the work easier, and allow us to provide better services. 1. AI 2. Communities 3. More designs / predesigned blocks I'll say more. If they ever had these things like AI in the works, they would announce it as soon as they saw ZIPWP taking the crown and innovating. If all your customers are drooling to capitalize on AI, you better provide. In this context, their silence only solidified me in the position that the company has entered the death spiral, hence I started moving away too.

    The most complete set of marketing tools for wordpress and also as bloated as the others with hidden layered code from here to Mars, and the best choice to make when you have a shitty product then is to raise the prices, though i think awesome motives purchased this just to get rid of the competence and kill it eventually as they promote the other tool proutpages or what not.

      $599/yr is a scarcity marketing technique as I can always cancel and buy a new promo subscription and continue on since it's a license within WordPress and even if expired it still won't ruin your setup. Thrive is better off moving to SaaS web based for WordPress and they will thrive again

      There’s definitely some bloat now. It was always a heavier load than some tools but I’ve seen some new bloat and specific things added since AM acquired them. It’s a bit annoying,

    Even though Thrive hasn't had any crazy updates, what do you feel like your missing out on with what they do have to offer? Just creating new things just because doesn't mean progress, so are you just bored of not having new things to play with or what's your reasoning to switching to something that has less customization options? My gripe with Thrive is I was hoping they would build a community platform to go along with Apprentice but it doesn't seem like that's happening. It's weird that Thrive Themes and Thrivecart both were acquired around the same time and the products have suffered because of it, that's what I'm really bummed about.

      Spectra has only marginally fewer customization options for the time being. The features it lacks compared to Thrive are in their roadmap. As I hoped to convey in my video, changing for the sake of change or FOMO isn’t a good reason to swap. I personally was having compatibility issues with the rest of the tech stack. TTB was becoming increasingly frustrating for me since every tool that came along just wasn’t compatible. So many tools were embracing the block builder side of WP (which has improved significantly) and I wanted to utilize it. Unfortunately, many tools I use were also having styling conflicts. I’ve also noticed a backend slowdown since the acquisition. My sites with Thrive are running way slower. Editing with Thrive Aechitect has moments where it hitches and snags and slows to molasses. I tested on my high end PC, M2 Mac, and on different hosts to confirm it’s not me. Those things combined with the backend updates from Awesome Motive and the lack of updates on any future roadmap were enough to spark my departure for my two personal sites.

    Why moving away? Any product don't need to be with new big features update. Thrive Suite still works great. There is ton of features you can use. We dont need more. Swift to another software would only be stressed and take time - and as Thrive Suite, it will not be 100% match every time. I see no reason to leave Thrive Suite.

      If it were just a lack of anything new I would agree. And I do say in my video that change for the sake of change isn’t what I recommend. Instead of cutting and pasting my same comment throughout, I listed reasons in another comment. Suffice it to say, there’s definitely more than just the product going stale. Plus, fear for the future is also an acceptable reason when running a business that relies on dependability and a sustainable product.

      @Convology หลายเดือนก่อน

      I own a Bricks license. It’s one of the options I checked out. Bricks is extremely capable. Perhaps even the best in what can be made possible. But the learning curve and technical requirements are so vastly beyond the average user. It’s meant for those with a developer and designer background or at least a desire to become one. I personally want something simpler, more universally open, and usable (by me, clients, etc).

    Thrive has been dying. The pain of moving away is hard, I'm secretly hoping they make updates, as having to recreate the quizzes, popups, A/B testing et.c is way too much to do.

      The hardest part for me has been not knowing. Are they dying? Are they planning to resurface? They might come out tomorrow with a roadmap and features that catapult them back to the front. But it’s just crickets. I can’t function in the unknown.

      @@Convology exactly. At least Divi they are getting communication even though they too have a technical debt issue. Any reason for not opting for Kadence Suite or Bricks Builder?

    • @Convology
      @Convology หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have both Kadence and Bricks. Bricks is just too technical a solution. While it’s capable of so much, it’s just not my style nor something I’d want to work with for clients. Kadence is great. It was my second choice. I ultimately went with Spectra because I want the whole Brainstorm Force ecosystem (SureCart, SureMembers, Etc).

      @@Convology , I understand why you’re frustrated, but Thrive won’t just disappear. If the new owners can’t handle it, someone else will take it. Thrive needs passionate CEOs and it can totally thrive again.

    I've been a thrive member since the company launched and was happy with the suite, but they totally screwed me (and I imagine thousands of others) when they did not offer a way to automatically convert the shortcodes from their legacy themes, such as FocusBlog (the one I use) to Builder and the themes built on that platform. I have more than 1,000 instances of shortcodes used in my 861 blog posts. To manually convert them using Architect after migrating FocusBlog to Builder is a non-starter. I'm furious w/ Thrive -- they offer no assistance re this matter whatsoever. So now I'm stuck with a legacy theme they no longer support that is way outdated. Very disappointed!
