Enjoyed this section of your hike…..love the beauty of Buckskin Gulch -it is so unique and beautiful! Brought back good memories for us…nice photography and happy music! Grand Canyon is indeed special especially views and the river…
This is such a great looking hike, but I don't think I would do it. So many logistical issues. Kudos to you and Sprocket. Maybe I'd do a couple sections where there's reasonable access to water and the trailheads.
We did a R2R 2 years ago..At Phantom Ranch it was 108..Rested in the shade for a hour and booked it up the South Rim getting done right at nightfall …The amazing thing was how many hikers who were unprepared that we seen and were struggling…
Appreciate the love you give the AZT. It makes me really proud to be from a state that well traveled thru hikers like yourself hold in such high regard despite seeing thousands of miles of beauty in more “stereotypical” beautiful places like Colorado or the PNW.
The AZT really is incredible, gold standard of a trail and frequently what I will recommend over just about anything else! So long as someone even sort of has an interest in the desert at least
I really enjoyed the Trail Glove 6, but the new pair doesn't have very durable tread and it pretty much starts wearing away immediately!! So I will be waiting for the version 8... until I try them again in a long distance setting.
Sprocket is my girlfriend and she would mostly prefer not to be on camera so I try to honor that by not shoving it in her face or making her do interviews or something.
Merlin! It's great, it can lead you through identification via what a bird looks like, or you can use sound and their calls. Very fun thing while out hiking
I really loved the Trail glove 6, and got about 500-600 miles out of each pair I wore on the PCT but the new 7s has a different tread that isn't as good :( It looks fun and fancy, and the shoe otherwise holds up great, it's just the tread that's now a problem unfortunately
@@JupiterHikes The 6s are what I currently hiking in. The 7's will be replacing when they are they are dead - which looks to be soon. They only have about 250 on them. The soles are fine, but the uppers are getting thin.
About 250 miles in the depths of the Grand Canyon up next 🙂
What was just a Monday is once again hayduke day. Love this series.
Mondays are going to be so blah once the last video in the series has been uploaded!
But then a new video series will begin :)

Wire Pass/ Buckskin Gulch is GREAT….Did it in June…

loving this series.
Grand Canyon is so terrifyingly imposing and glorious.

So many! It's amazing how people underestimate a Rim to Rim, or even go for a R2R2R very unprepared !
Yeah, no hat,no poles, walmart bag with a couple water bottles…It was crazy… Cant wait for next video
Yay! Another hike!😊
That sundown was extraordinary, I’ve never seen one so intense in my life!

Hope you and Sprocket bought some cookies at Jacob lake? I lived on them my last day on the AZT, happy trails Jupiter.
The cookies were great! I think a lot of their baked goods were awesome, maybe it was a turnover that was my true favorite but don't remember exactly
Such a great place to explore. Enjoyed watching your awesome video guys! Fantastic cinematography!
Thanks for the upload. They bring back some good memories. I'm looking forward to the next one.
That lizard at 4:20 (heh) was funny, with the bobbing head. Maybe he had his teeny tiny Airpods in and jammin to some tunes.
He was chasing a female, that was his mating dance...
Love this series! How do you like the Merrells?

Looks amazing!
Yeah boyyyyyyy
Hayduk lives
👊🤠👊
Who is sprocket ? Very little mention of her, she seems on the periphery of this journey.

what app are you using for bird/animal id? Thanks!

Heh - I have those shoes. I like my Merrell Trail Glovae 7s, but I don't think you're gonna get 400 miiles out of them. Too minimalistic.
