asmr ☆ tapping/flipping through my childhood dvd collection and beyond ☆ no talking

I don't know how to preface this lol
I've always had a ton(like several shelves) of physical media growing up in the early 2000s. I guess that was my privilege while some of my friends had cable tv and some friends only had pbs. I was extremely blessed; I recognize that now that I'm a spinster aunt.
Guess I'll start by telling you that my grandpa collected so many vhs and cassette tapes that he stacked them to fill up a whole wall back when the whole family was living together. I was in awe as a child at his wall of tapes lol My dad took after grandpa and collected vhs and dvds and cds. Whatever was the new format, my grandpa and dad wanted to be able to play it lol They were physical media lovers and it was their hobby to share films and tv series.
My dad used to take me into dvd shops most weekends when he had time off from work. He'd let me roam and pick out something that I'd like and he would get something for himself. My mom disapproved of our reckless spending lol I miss him a lot. It's because of my dad and grandpa that I love physical media so much. It was magical as a child to be able to walk through the shops with all the pretty dvd cases at your fingertips. You could pick one up, read the back for details, buy it if it suited your fancy, and it was yours until you decided to let go of it.
I don't really buy dvds these days unless it's something I really want. Otherwise, I'd ask for a few dvds for my birthday or Christmas. This collection here is primarily the stuff I owned as a child. We had to move house a few times so my parents made me throw away most of the original dvd casings to make space. Some of the dvds I have on my shelf are the stuff I started collecting as an adult. I don't usually buy until I've watched something and liked it enough to want to own it in physical. That helps me save space.
