slow days: listening to rain by the window

I wish for more rain.
It's been a pretty dry winter here so far. The winds have been howling, the walls of our old house have been shaking, and the cats have been anxious. I wish the rains could stay for a few more days. I missed it.
I wasn't planning on recording the rain tonight; it just suddenly came to mind. I placed my camera on the window's ledge and left it alone for half an hour and now I've recorded the sound of rain by my window. Reminds me of when I was twelve and recorded a short rain video for TH-cam. We used to live in a mouse-hole of an apartment back then. Nobody saw that video lol It wasn't exciting. It was mundane. This feels like a tribute to that time in my life. Except I'm blessed to actually have viewers now.
Of course, my real window's view looks nothing like the view in my imagination lol If I peer out my window, all I can see are my loud neighbors arguing lmao This piece of artwork was an observation study from the impressionistic painters' era. I've never been anywhere serene like this, but I'd imagine it's quite peaceful and lonely. I really don't want to claim credit for this one. My techniques and medium are the only thing that's transformative and sort of mine.
