I do miss the late 90s. Remember listening to this on the radio in 1999.
Love this....
You in the dark
You in the pain
You on the run
Living a hell
Living your ghost
Living your end
Never seem to get in the place that I belong
Don't wanna lose the time, lose the time to come
Whatever you say, it's alright
Whatever you do, it's all good
Whatever you say, it's alright
Silence is not the way
We need to talk about it
If heaven is on the way
If heaven is on the way
You in the sea
On a decline
Breaking the waves
Watching the lights go down
Letting the cables sleep
Whatever you say, it's alright
Whatever you do, it's all good
Whatever you say, it's alright
Silence is not the way
We need to talk about it
If heaven is on the way
We'll wrap the world around it
If heaven is on the way
If heaven is on the way
I'm a stranger in this town
I'm a stranger in this town
I'm a stranger in this town
If heaven is on the way
If heaven is on the way
I'm a stranger in this town
I'm a stranger in this town
Songwriters: Gavin Rossdale.
This will always be one of my favorite Bush songs. This version is wonderful. Well done, Gentlemen!
kornfreak78 Yeah always loved this tune and "The Chemicals Between Us."
+kornfreak78 agreed...awesome stuff
kornfreak78 you r perfect
Anyone ever check out cornhub?
musica fodaaaaaaa
This song is magical ✨
Yes
2024❤
I was 15 when Bush came out. It was a revolutionary time for music, after Kurt's death. The saddest moment in he history of music. The first time I heard Comedown! That was it. Remember when you saw new music videos on MTV? There was nothing like it. This version of Letting the Cables Sleep, is magnificent. This song tears a hole into the center of your soul. Their most beautiful song. So incredibly sad. Gavin still looks awesome.
stranger in this town
Not the saddest time in music by a long shot.
I absolutely agree 🫡
@@philpants44 it is all based on opinion, why is there always one of YOU that feels their opinion deserves to stand before someone elses?
@@opethiroth111 it is based on opinion, you're right. And i was giving mine. So why throw a hissy you massive hypocrite
2025 and still gives me chills. Things with quality have no fear of time.
If only it allows me to multi-like it everytime I'm here
This song changed my life at 16....and holds whole new meanings at 36.
Poetic, imaginary, feeling & sound. Gavin’s voice is haunting.
Love…. Through all of these years ❤
This song will be forever timeless for me, I have been listening and loving it since it was released...such beautiful words last forever
Amen
I came up on Swallowed, Machinehead, Glycerine, and all those gems, but this might be their ultimate masterpiece.
A masterpiece of a song...timeless, smooth, incredible good lyrics..
We're so lucky to be music makers professionally every day through this 2020 nightmare
long live Bush.
Who here has had those nights where you're trying to sleep but, your mind is really active? Then you listen to this and pass the fuck out? I certainly have. Gavin's voice on acoustic sets is perfect.
Man, haven't listened to these guys in a while. The power and authenticity of this music and their entire collection is astounding. Back in the groove.
Something special right here
this is one of the most mature and evolved bands that ever exist.
Still one of my favorite songs ever. Saw these dudes in NYC like 6 years ago and when he came into the crowd in this small venue was special…
AUG 2022, still listening to this song takes me back, very underrated song
literally has almost 3 million views.. not really underrated..
@wertdeg since this comment was over 2 years ago when you think of Bush I don't think Letting the Cables sleep is one of the first songs you think of is it ?
@ its one of my favorites so yes, razor blade suitcase is my favorite album though..
This is a little near undiscovered masterpiece right here
"2020" still love this song!
2 days to go to the new album.
It never gets old, very creative music work and effort
I recently did a cover. Love this song.
It's 2021 and I keep listening to this song. I'm sure 10 years from now I'll still be listening and so until the end of my life.
❤️👍🏼❤️
This is my fave Bush song ever❤❤ takes me back
Gavin I met you in Dothan Alabama years ago and I believe my brother met you in Jacksonville Florida this year. Very kool moment in both of our lives. Thank you for the music Bush. My buddy and i got free tickets from you guys to see y'all in concert. We were on the second deck above the soundboard system. You stood on a fence and pointed at me. It was the Golden State tour. Memories that last a lifetime.
Im jealous lol 🔥👍💯
I have all albums. I am a huge Bush fan. I'm a huge Gavin Rossdale fan. I have his autograph my friend got me when she was VIP back in Solid State era. I will forever be a Bush fan. If I was strong enough for a tattoo, I'd get one, but I just love practicing chords. Thank you, Bush and Gavin.
One of my favorite Bush songs
Nothing like listening to this on a CD while on a bus or train. Such were my teen years.
Haunting yet lovely all at the same time. Genius!
Here I am in '24 looking at Beautiful Gavin & hearing him continue to sing my life just thinking, "Man... Things really WERE so much easier even though they seemed SO hard." Love from the Steelhouse in Omaha on one of my greatest nights. Keep on for us, Gavin. The world still needs you. 🖤
When I seen them in Concert Gavin jumped off the stage and walked through the crowd. He reminded me of Buddha. I touched his shoulder with one finger 😄
Often panned as imitators, they're still going strong to this day. Beautiful version from a highly underrated band.
Never thought they sounded like anyone else
Stupid critics put it out he was an imitator n the UK won't give any lovecuz of Oasis but Gavin has more than Liam n noel put together
One of the most amazing song I've ever heard.
"Silence is not the way.."
Lots of love from Italy 💙
First heard this in Charmed! So good.
Beautiful song.
Nailed it.
Named my youngest son after Gavin…he’s now 22 years old & has an old soul, remarkable young man.
I’m so incredibly proud of him!
Gavin, Mom loves you-Lifetimes of Love🤴🏻🤍
If Heaven is on the way,
We'll wrap the world around it.
One of my favorite lines of all time.
"Don't want to lose the time, lose the time to come."
Damn.
I am in love with Gavin's voice, especially on these rooftop live songs.
Grunge is not dead
Música de qualidade não tem prazo de validade!
Antoni Paiva Melhor comentário
Conheço Bush dsd 94...no primeiro cd deles...e a voz do Gavin nunca mudou...voz sadia d se ouvir...o cara canta mto...
Antoni Paiva muito bom bush
Bush aren’t grunge. Maybe post-grunge
@@okaywhatevernevermind grunge, post grunge, still great music in the exact same genre
DAMN...I first heard this song probably 10 years ago on the compilation Cafe Del Mar. How damn fast time flies. It's always a nice feeling when you come across favourite long-forgotten compositions
Same here ... 👌
Still listening in the end of 2021, cuz it's a brilliant version........
Gavin has an Amazing Talent and Presence ❣
Thank you for your years of service to us fans! One of my favorite songs outside of greedy fly.
The first 'Bush' song i ever heard and still one of my favorites.
I love this band so much, they have such a unique sound.. instantly recognizable without confusion.
eran5005 Yup same goes for me! Couldnt of said it better myself :)
Probably in the top 3 bands I've seen live!
Last comment a year ago ? Lets get this back into rotation!
Ready for their tour in Brazil🇧🇷
"I"m A stranger in this town..." There is true pain behind that line. everytime he says it.
I love this song so much. No one can understand until they have lost a truly best friend. Fly High and Sail On Frank! This is the best version to represent us....sitting around soaking in the view and you watching us drink a few.
Perfection
love the rooftop setting for all of these songs
Much agreed was released the year my youngest son was born and he just turned 16 on t he 20th! Where does time go? Bush still ROCK just as hard! Saw hem 7 times since SOM was released in 2011! Always 40O Percent live from all yhe guys! So ty hrilled Chris Traynor is an official member! He complements and completes Bush. Met them a few times, and were all amazing guys. Chris, actually, was kind enough to take pics of us by the bus + really just conversate for 15-20 min. Cant wsit 4 the next time
ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER!!!! BEAUTIFULLY SHOT!!! P E R F E C T I O N ! ! !
A few years ago I saw bush at a local free show and it was amazing. He ran off stage into the crowd and people was were chasing him. He ran right up to my fiançe and I. We didn't want to act weird so we just looked at him and he just looked at us in amazement that we didn't act like everyone else. Seems like it lasted for 2 seconds before the crowd swarmed in. He put on such a great show, probably the best concert we have ever been to.
i love the pure natural light on this video.... perfect combination!!!!
so sad but yet so beautifull, to know she never wants to see my face again.
Hands down favorite Bush song.
I still recommend this video to people that ask about music I'm into. Love this so much.
I've had a crush on Gavin since the 90's.
Me too
@@doro_jadefuchs__ bone him 😂😂

Yessss this song has been very much in rotation along with several other songs and artists from this place of music. Aaaaah i love it.
Australia always breeds the best music Cx
Jan 2020 and here we are... still❤️❤️
Fue el primer disco que me compro mi hermana de la banda. Lo atesoro mucho, es un gran album "The Science of Things"
This has been my favorite song for over 8 years, it's great to hear it again :)
one of those bands that sound even better live than on recordings
Getting through a tough break up 2021.
Hey buddy, just checking on you. We all hope you're doing well and feeling good...as we all tumble into the apocalypse 😅...
Stay strong , the world needs you! Take care..God bless you!
...remember this agricultural analogy...the greatest growth of your crop, can only come after a deep pruning and removal of the chaff... God makes room for you to grow by cutting away pieces of you that don't matter in the big picture. .
It hurts, you will ache, but the payoff in the end will exceed all the prior years harvest combined! Trust Him, ask Him. He'll show you.
My most fave Bush song. It's truly beautiful in every way. Really enjoyed listening to this version. Thank you 🙏
Heard it yesterday the first time. Just stayed in my ear. It's a song you listen to once and you think: wow. His voice is beautiful in that song.
It's another Sunday & I'm listening
Always one of my favorite songs. What I love most is the fact that they have real talent. And he isn't synthesized like everyone on the top40
I'm undone. They brought me to tears in concert
Love you guys, you got me through rough times in high school. And you're still helping. Thank you 😊
I see the fans complaining about low views in this vídeo and etc. The talent is there, but their age was behind us. They are who they are because things have changed and paved the way for their success. We must be happy to access songs like this and remember good things.
Amazing song
Amazing version
2019 and I love this Band...
me too
My favorite Bush song♥️
Will always LOVE this song!
One of the few songs that can actually make me cry. It resonates internally so powerfully. All time favorite.
"Never seem to get in the place I belong...
don't want to lose the time, lose the time to come..."
...dayum...
Everything is gone in the silence of the zen within this heaven is deafening to me
why only 49k views???? This song is great!!!! People don't know what they're missing!!
almost 2 million views now
never back down as someone from the the younger generation I would much rather listen to this than shitty rap music.
@@elijah_w2651 Everybody should listen to the music he likes.

My Bush's favourite song. Watching in 2018 remembering the good 90-00's
He’s an incredible person and has an incredible voice.🙌🏻
I was a senior in high school when BUSH put this song out (1999). I recently looked up what inspired Gavin Rossdale to write this song... and my eyes were far from dry.
How does this have so few views! People don't know brilliant music and talent anymore.
Silence is golden only in heaven
2 187 423 views :)
@@onemoreboy Haha - I think I may be responsible for at least half of the views. Its a song played daily for me.
But did they really ever??

I don’t know how he holds it together the whole time during this performance. 😢. There are several times near the end where it’s getting to him. Poor Gavin.
Man, atmosphere of this video and song is so damn nice and grungy.

Got me through many hard times
