    When I first started to be a radio broadcaster my boss was telling me that I should smile when I talk because people can hear you smiling. Kind of weird even though you can't see them smile but you can hear them smile. And when I did smile when I talked you can tell my audience when they called me at the station we're happy to hear my voice while I played music.

    As an image analyst for 35 years... the trick is to place the image so the shadows are directed towards the viewer. Once you start viewing images using this process, you will immediately recognize what we call "ground truth". Never look with shadows to the side or running upwards.

    Having spent 40+ years working as a surface miner, I can say without too much fear of contradiction that the mounds in the middle and some on the edges of Jackson Crater are exactly what I would expect to see on a waste dump in any mine on earth. They have the appearance of having been built by pouring material from, say, a conveyor belt. The geologic similarities to waste dumps on Earth are more than remarkable. Curious, no?

      I agree, I'm not an experienced miner at all, but I have an interest in many subjects and as soon as I saw that image it struck me as looking much more similar to a mining operation than anything else. I don't know why people dismiss out-of-hand the idea that the moon could have been mined. Seems to me it's far more stupid to believe that anyone currently alive on Earth could know for sure what's what. Billions of years, billions of galaxies and some nobody on TH-cam thinks they have the universe sussed.

    The sense of wonder about space has seemed to faded steadily over the decades. I was just a few months shy of my 5th birthday when we landed on the moon. It captured my imagination. I still own (thanks to my aunt) a local newspaper with the front page carrying front page coverage of the Eagle leaving the moon on Monday, July 21st 1969. To hold this newspaper is quite special and reminds me how exciting it was to watch subsequent launches, even causing me to be late for school one day. It was a magical time. But somehow watching unmanned probes sent into space just doesn't match the excitement of Neil Armstrong taking that "giant leap for mankind". I'd gladly volunteer for a trip into the depths of space, even if it meant never returning to earth. I'm okay with that.

    Genuinely worth reflecting (as we're still waiting to return to the moon) on just how dangerous the Apollo program was----the astronauts were ostensibly test pilots. Of 32 total, 3 died in a fire (Apollo 1), 3 nearly didn't make it back after spending the majority of their mission in crisis (Apollo 13), and many others had errors that could have ended very badly. The key driver behind the recklessness was the space race... which is now over.
    We could have had the first humans land on Mars decades ago if we were as casual with their lives as we were with the Apollo astronauts. I'm (very) impatient too, but I don't judge NASA for taking a different approach this time than they did all those years ago.

      Those may have been actors but the four who was under a seat doing manual work as not spoken about because he was a real astronaut, by some accounts. Half the public was led to believe we never went to the moon, half that everything NASA said is fact, inorder to divide & control us. I believe neither is true. NASA has been the propaganda arm. Did WE go to the moon? That depends on who WE are & have been. The opening between these crater's here look like remnants of water erosion or mining. If the rock & soil is really only 20 miles deep & is the same age as the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter & if it couldn't be natural because it couldn't be that big & far away yet still captured by are gravity then this would tell a different story & may be why the moon rocks were stolen from NASA. Sort of like bones of giants sent to museums have always disappeared out the backdoor. A space station around the moon would answer this question by whether it mysteriously disappears.

      Will someone please explain how vast majority of craters look si circular. Some impacts must have been angled and oval or just linear smudges if the huge projectiles bounced off. They're not lying in bits are they? And almost perfectly circular depression shallow beyond feasibility. How many km across Relative to depth? LOOK ITS MORE LIKE LIGHTNING ON A BEACH. Very similar patterns made. This projectile evidence isn't apparently very... Compelling. Hard to believe it honestly. Think about it. when spinning objects get hit by other roundish meteor/asteroid 90degrees always making most circular yet Shallow!? YOU HAVING A LAUGH...?

      @GazMasonik Scott Manley has a video about this very topic. Isaac Newton actually developed the equation that describes the relationship between the impactor and the crater depth. The relationship between the impact, and crater eccentricity, was not developed until more recently.
      Basically, the answer is that the development of eccentric craters is a self-limiting processes. The resistance of the material tends to spread out the force of impact - regardless of impact angle.
      Scott's video goes into much more depth.

    Explain to me : how the mass of the moon allowed it to be captured by Earths atmosphere, how it’s nearly a billion years older than Earth, it’s exactly 1/400 the size of the sun and 400 times closer to the Earth than the Sun in order for us to get a lunar eclipse, it’s likely hollow since it rings like a bell when the Apollo lander was ejected on to the surface, it has a near perfect circular orbit of the earth, and even weirder, it is in tidal lock with the Earth, so as it orbits and rotates at just the right rate so that we only see only one side of the moon as it rotates…..the moon is not what it appears to be….the damn thing’s been engineered.

      Un-answerable !!!

    • @toddmoore9841
      @toddmoore9841 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best current theory is the Moon was not captured. Rather, the Earth was struck by another planetary body, and the moon coalesced from the debris.
      The Moon is not older than the Earth. I have no idea where you got that idea.
      The relative size and distance is coincidental to the time in which we live. Over time, the Moon is moving away from the Earth. Total solar eclipses will end in about 560 million years.
      The Moon can't be hollow. If it were, it would not be massive enough for us to orbit spacecraft around it. Not to mention it would collapse in on itself.
      Orbits tend to become less elliptical and more round over time.
      Tidal locking is very common. All of the largest moons in the solar system are tidally locked, and Mercury is tidally locked to the Sun.

Personally, I spent too much of my life studying the real thing to waste my time on it. The authors seem to be pushing numerology and conspiratorial thinking. I don't want to presume the authors' motives, but the human brain evolved to spot patterns everywhere, so we see patterns even where they don't exist. You would need some pretty rock-solid evidence for the Moon being fabricated, a lot more than some misunderstood facts and contrived math.

      @hertzair1186 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toddmoore9841 …I understand and respect your pragmatic thinking on the subject. But at the minimum, the moon is utterly bizarre in my opinion. If it formed from the collision of Earth and another astronomical body, the rarity of the nearly perfect circular Earth orbit, the 1/400 the size of the Sun with its 400 times closer to the Earth than the Sun, and the tidal lock…all the result of a collision….seems utterly beyond chance to me.

What I mean is it really is an aggregate of different material that is not stratified so much as the Earth. It doesn't have an iron core it rings like a bell when it is struck which they say means it is simply dry all the way through no water is there to dampen its vibration. So you can say it is a big pile of rocks and certainly it is big but it is also interesting.
