Went from an Apple watch to the Instinct 2x Solar. I love the the I2X. I love I don't have to worry about charging it every day and it is an outstanding health and fitness tracker. For My usage I can get around 30 days without recharging it as long as I am active outside. And I still get all of my notifications on my wrist. One drawback is that you cannot respond to a text via the watch, but for me that is a very small inconvenience. My two favorite features are the morning report, and the flashlight. It took a day or two to get used to not having the touch screen, but it was a quick learning curve. I do like the Garmin connect app, but like the touchscreen vs buttons it was a short learning curve because I was so used to the apple watch. Over all I'm glad I made the switch. For me not having to worry about charging my smartwatch while keeping a lot of the features of my apple watch is a game changer. I highly recommend this watch.
You explain it perfectly! I agree with everything you’re saying! I am so glad I made the switch to this watch! Thanks for watching and commenting! I’ll be doing some more videos on settings and features in the future.
I watched this video, as I'm also in the Apple-bubble and am in search of a watch that can replace my Apple Watch 7. I used to wear G-Shock-watches before I started wearing smart-watches and wanted to go back to that, but the buggy UI on the eg. GBD-H2000 is holding me back. I want to get rid of the daily charging and have a more rugged watch that I can wear all day, whatever I'm doing. Looking at the "disadvantages": - Size, no problem, the GW-7900-B I used to wear is 52.4 x 50.0 x 17.7 mm and I have big wrists - Activity circles, I never use them, although I get the notifications, no sharing with friends. - Replying to messages from the watch, no problem, I have reading glasses. When I have to take them to send a message from my watch, I can also grab my phone and send it from there. I just LOVE the MIP-display and the battery life, so I think the Instinct 2X Solar is my watch to go for. I'm only thinking about the charging. Does it need bright sunlight or is daylight enough? In that case I'd never have to charge 😉
After almost 3 weeks of use I can say it needs direct bright sunlight to charge. Just daylight is not enough. I fully charged it by cable on 28th of August and am charging again today. I measured 5-6 activities with GPS, heartrate etc activated, have heartrate measurement activated 24h and VO2 during the night. I'm charging as I write this, so the watch has been running for about 3 weeks with 4 days left and a few solar peaks.
"It's too big for smaller wrists." I heard this so many times on youtube and I'm so happy I didn't listen to those who said this. My wrist is small...almost the minimum that this watch can fit on. Before buying this watch I worried that it's too big and it will look strange on my skinny wrist. Then I reminded myself: It's a device! I buy it because I need the features and I want to use it. I don't buy it because I want something to look cool on my wrist or something. And if someone think's it's too big on my wrist...well, that's not my business. I don't feel like it's that huge btw, I feel fine with it on my wrist.
@@Bobsgaragetech thanks so much for your answer!!! I am on the fence to get this watch so I am watching videos about it. Bests regards from a Venezuelan viewer in Panama!
I changed back from AW, Enduro, Epix into the Instinct 2X Solar and happy since that time. Battery runs with 2-4 sport sessions per week 42 days! Using the torch light on daily basis. Interested to see what the Instinct 3 could bring up. Also my family changes to Garmin away from Apple.

Dude I’m in the same boat. I got rid of my Apple Watch because of getting tired charging it daily
