Nice to see. As an almost 60 year old sheep farmer with only 10 acres my ‘new’ tractor is almost my age…my older tractor is my dad’s age! They run great. This year we picked up a manure spreader, a 52 year old ‘wig wag’ vicon.
Upon reading this, of course I had to look up what a wig wag vicon was. And I was super impressed! We recently spread chemical fertilizer on our video "plowing, prepping, and planting, WWII style". We had a loaner spinner spreader, but a Vicon like that would have been pretty neat to try!
So glad you had a picture of it in its original "dilapidated" shape. The restoration was perfect--not a museum model, just enough to make it work and keep its "history."
Well I was thinking of building one of an ATV up differential but those things are complicated I am impressed with what you’re doing with that whole thing I love up cycling old stuff
We love your ingenuity and determination! The manure spreader is awesome! I think I spied a neat hayloader in the background! We’ll be cutting hay before we know it!
Hello Folks and I mean all 4 of you 😀! I actually clicked on your video because I was looking for front end loaders that looked like the one that we had on a Farmall M when I was a kid,it was a NewIdea loader with a trip bucket and singe acting cylinders but what made it so unique was it had a cylinder inside of a cylinder so when you lifted the loader arms first one cylinder extended and if you keep the valve open another smaller cylinder extended out of the bigger one! So I sure would love to know if this description fits your loader and if so I would love to see a demonstration of it! I wish I could find one but they are not easy to find. I sure enjoyed the video of the manure spreader and the time and sweat you put into it I hope God blesses me with a hobby farm too one day! Anyway God bless all of you today tomorrow and for ever!😀🇨🇦
Yes, this is a "new idea horn loader", trip bucket, and lift-only cylinders retract by gravity. Yes, they are double-cylinders with a second full length inside the bore of the first, and they are just really cool pieces of engineering! There is are a few video snips of the loader fully extended up in the cider pressing video, and more of it being used in the case manure spreader video. It's so useful it shows up on most videos once or twice!
Hey thanks for responding to me we live in a amazing time where we can communicate like this! So yes I agree what an amazing piece of engineering! We had one identical to that when I was around 13 years old but my dad sold it..... I was really sad but that is how the cookies crumble 😀Some day maybe God will give me grace and I will find one at just the right time! Anyway carry on!And God bless you and your family! 😀🇨🇦🏗🪝
Very neat to see a antique manure spreader back to life. Also nice the farmal pull it

So incredibly awesome I have recently discovered one in my yard and am in the process of refurbishing it back to its beautiful self

Nice to see people coming back to the land lived on a farm for seven decades.

I guess you watch just a few acres?
Lol yep- he's the supersized version of our farm- more cows, more tractors, more videos!
