Would everything be different today? Among other questions that she has/had. I dunno I think that she tied a lot of Midnights songs to her pasts songs.
The 1 is tied up to cardigan because this is the person James lost right? "Chase two girls lose the 1." And in the 1, in my opinion, is a two person POV. "POV1: Im doing good im on some new shit" "POV2: I have this dream you're doing cool shit". The references to her old and new songs in Cardigan is so interesting. It goes as far back as Red, which makes me think this James person is still in Taylor's life hence the progression in the relationship. If i didn't know who taylor was and I solely listen to her music I would totally think she was only singing to one person this whole time.
