I’m happy a came across your channel 😅 I ship out on Feb 13th and I couldn’t find nobody on TH-cam that talked about this Rate . I’m going in as a RS and this put my mind at ease a little bit so thank you for sharing ❤️
@@Kxnd4ll This is my experience and takeaway after serving pre and post 9-11 and in the early days of Iraq. I got to see the US before the war of terror, the propaganda leading up to the wars, the shifts in narratives, and then finaly the their failures. After decades of being in Afghanistan what did we get? If on 9-12-01 anyone in America with a public forum that suggested we should just give the Taliban a bumch of weapons and ammo to save us lives and a humiliating defeat, probably would have been killed. You were not allowed to question to narrative that was pushing for all these wars. And what did we get? We lost lives, freedoms, money, and just countless other things people will never know. You see I was very gung ho at one point. Seeing the broken families from long deployments, the suicide, the sexual abuse, the suicides of lonely wives while their husbands are gone, the domestic violence, the deaths, the missed holidays, the missing limbs, the 22 suicides a day now, etc.... You start to question what it's all for. And it's not like any way you have questioned why this stuff happens. I'm not saying this is everyone's perspective. But it's very common grom people in and who have been in. You simply can not ask these questions in a real way until you have seen those consequences in real life. For me these questions didn't come up until after my enlistment. That's when things changed because I couldn't justify any of the missions and any of the wars. They aren't justified and they don't serve a productive ends. This isn't unique to this generation either. What were the lives of Vietnam and Korea lost for? I encourage you to read the essay from Major General Smedley Butler titled "War is a Racket". He was a ww2 hero and won the medal of honor 2 times. Yoyr recruiter will squirm if you ever mention his name. Ask them if they have heard of him and watch their reaction. He spills out the whole truth of why we have wars. It's very important to at least understand this side of the military exists before you leave and sign your name for good. Once you do they own you for 8 years. I don't tell people to go in or not but I do hope you understand everything about this important decision. If someone would have told me all this I would have laughed in their face. Once you see the horrors of war though it really makes you ask some tough questions. I will be happy to answer any questions you have, point you towards further listening or reading feom other veterans, or anything else you need to make an informed decision.
I am on active duty. If you are not too sure about wanting to go active, reserves are a good path to look at & it's easier to go from reserve to active rather than active to reserve.
I have seen people have braces but it all depends majority of the time it gets denied because on deployment you can’t get them checked. But if your not going on deployment anytime soon it might get approved.
I’m a CT, and I was deployed as direct support on a ship recently and I thought the RSs were pretty cool. It seems pretty chill, busy some times, but y’all got the connections
I was in the Army, and this would not have been allowed in any shape or form. She would not be filming while on duty if she did and was caught, she would have been disciplined and if she kept on doing it, she would have been kicked out. I was not even allowed to take pictures of the entrances to any base I was on let alone video tape them. If we did take pictures they could not show much if any of the buildings or surroundings
Your best bet is to go speak with a recruiter in office. Especially since it’s a different country the requirements may vary because everyone has a different process enlisting
Awe this warmed my ❤. My son is on that same ship. Thank you for your service ⚓️💙⚓️💙⚓️💙

"You really just be wasting time."
This really sums up the entire military experience. Just one big giant waste.
Literally!!
I am somewhat interested in the navy. I’m curious on why you said is a giant waste? I’m steps away from going to MEPS so that’s why I ask.

I haven’t been on deployment yet but I don’t mind it it’s chill most of the time & there’s so much people your only noticeable if you want to be.
I got sent to that Ship (TAD for 90 days).. I end up doing 206 consecutive days without hitting a port cuz of Covid-19 😂 I was mad asf!
Thanks for your service!!
I was on a Carrier. The stores, are much bigger

Can you have braces and get a waiver to be on sea duty ?
I have seen people have braces but it all depends majority of the time it gets denied because on deployment you can’t get them checked. But if your not going on deployment anytime soon it might get approved.
Do RS’s always get ship duty?
Yes it’s a 5 year sea tour.
That doesn’t mean your going to be at sea the whole 5 years but you will be attached to that boat for 5 years .
I’m a CT, and I was deployed as direct support on a ship recently and I thought the RSs were pretty cool. It seems pretty chill, busy some times, but y’all got the connections
We're you on a DDG, or a Amphibious?
I was on a carrier
do you know anyone that’s an ma? if so do they like it? i plan on enlisting and that is what i’m aiming for and want to know what it’s like..
I came in as an MA. It’s long hours. Your going to be at the gate scanning id’s. I personally didn’t like it.
did you do 4-5 years in the navy as RS and getting out ? can you switch over to become recruiter ? you are e-5 i believe?
she is an e4
