Sweet! I have considered doing it myself. But I just sold my scout and bought a dyna switchback. I have a switchback and road king and I don’t want anyone riding them. I am signed up for side share but there’s no cool bikes nearby. I am renting a gold wing in New Mexico next month
Right on! I see a lot of goldwings. It's definitely a little scary to let others on your bikes so I'm very particular on who I approve to rent. Hope you enjoy the trip in NM!
My biggest concern with doing this with my ZX14R is that someone’s probability of certain and instant death would be very high. A rider would have to come from a modified high powered super sports, to give it a go at best, but it would stress me out to much until they returned the bike back I think. 235hp on the rear wheel is a hand full!
Yes, 100% agreed. If I was in that position, I'd require someone to prove they can handle it vs an overly ambitious rider wanting to try out a fun bike and not know what they're getting into. I tend to ask anyone wanting to rent what they ride, and experience level. The Scout is very forgiving so it hasn't ever been a major issue.
@@Valorcycle It is all a top idea though and I would rent a scout to try, as I think they are an awesome looking bike with a well designed engine to match.
I thinks a nice way to make so.e extra dough. I stopped doing it as it's my only vehicle. Would definitely do again if I had another means of transportation. Very good points made here. Thanks for the mention btw🙌🏼
Yeah if I didnt have my Challenger, I wouldn't want to give up my bike unless I knew I couldnt ride for a period of time. You're welcome for the shoutout!
I'd be very impressed if you made enough to cover the upfront costs of the bikes, even of they are cheap. I make enough to cover maintenance and insurance, but would definitely be in the negative if I bought the bike for the sole purpose of renting. If you are also going to enjoy the bikes, then it may be more worth it but thats very subjective.
@@TruthSeeker9038 It's very inconsistent, I go months with no rentals, then sometimes get back to back rentals. Overall, it's enough to cover insurance, maintenance and gas.
thanks for this info bro. thinking of putting my other bike my r ninet scrambler on rs and make some assets and not just garaged. that’s awesome enginehawk jacket btw 😆

@@Valorcycle The goldwing is the biggest bike I could find around Albuquerque. I’m going to ride around the mountains around there and northern NM.

I've thought about this a few times but I just can't get on board with letting someone I don't know ride my bike. good breakdown though!
Thank you! I'm only doing it for the scout. I'd feel less comfortable with a bigger touring bike like what you have, so I share your perspective.
I’m considering getting a couple cheap bikes and posting them on there to see if I can make some extra income

@@Valorcycle I see what you’re saying. how much do you make a month in average from one bike?
