- I used to think Rudbeckia wasn't worth growing, but now it's one of my favorite flowers blooming out in my garden. What's your favorite variety?
I know it doesn't sound like I'm pronouncing the "D" in Rudbeckia... but I promise you, it's in there.

I love cherry Brandy Rudbeckia it is fantastic!!!
Love Rudbeckias!
This flower is so stunning! Definitely need to grow this! 😍🙌💚
I'm trying "Early Bird Gold" for long-flowering!
I am so excited to grow these next year!!! I bought my seed a month or two ago and am dreaming of where I will plant them 🥰
@@angelaengler2387 yes!! I’m so excited for you 🤗 I just want everyone to grow them haha. Keep me updated on how they grow for you next year 😊
Hot damn!❤😂. I’m on the ‘East Side’ if the state and mine still often do come back. The variety that I’m adding this year is chim -chiminee Oh how the simple black-eyed Susan has become the prom Queen!
@@mhubertcfi ooooh I looked those up, I may have to find room for those also haha. I love how they’re kind of fuzzy looking!
Aren’t they so fun!! The only recently became a flower that I feel like I have to have, for the same reasons that you mentioned! So late fall I grabbed several different varieties and gathered every single seed!! The bees love them!!
@@mistygeller3193 I love that, your garden is going to be so beautiful!! And I love how much the bees love them! I spend more time than I like to admit, just sitting out and watching bees and pollinators in my garden 😁 it’s the best.
I’m 9a in Florida. I ordered Cherokee Sunset and I’m hoping they germinate. I thought about trying to throw some in a tray outside to see if they’ll weather it out and grow there, and also doing some seed trays. We’ll see, though. I’m so nervous to waste any either way. 😅
@@Jessie_D_83 I feel like they’re pretty hardy, I bet if you planted some seeds outside they’d come up in the spring! The cold helps them germinate. I actually planted some of my seeds in pots the other day! Try it out, let me know how it goes 💜
I am a double bloom gal myself ❤. The love carries across all floral species! Have the double blooming morning glories by Baker Seeds? OH my!! My growing zone is the same 6a. I think that zonal changes seemed to have changed along the coastal edges of the US. The interior sections remained the same for the most part. I have blackeyed Susan everywhere and my hubs does not like it 😅
@@lisab.6818 there’s really nothing better than a double bloom 😁🙌🏼 I looked up those morning glories and I just might have to see if I can find room for them in my garden haha.
What method of seed starting do you use?
I ordered both these varieties for next season. I'm zone 6. Can I collect the seeds from the flowers or are they sterile? Thanks for your videos.
@@gwenvanbrunt3408 I’m so excited for you 🤗 You can definitely collect seeds from the flowers! They aren’t sterile.
I love Rudbeckia Horta I am growing some in zone 10 b Florida, do you know where I can get seeds from the ones you just showed? they are amazing!
@@carolinaseibert4428 This year I bought my seeds for the Sahara mix and Cherokee sunset mix from Johnny’s and Eden brothers 😊
Coneflower is Echinacea
@@Tracymw99 yeah, they are 😊 Rudbeckia is also called a coneflower because they have that raised cone-like center.
Absolutely love your channel and all the information you provide! Do you have any social media handles we can follow you through :)?
@@Leahososkalo thank you so so much 💜. I don’t really have other social media for gardening content, just TH-cam for now!!
Have you seen the caramel?
@@MissuhsipEgirl I had not, but thank you for bringing them to my attention!! They’re so pretty!! I just might have to order some 😊
@ seeing the ones you really liked I thought you’d like the Caramel.
