I remember a few movies with Ernest, but I never saw any of them. I seldom saw the SatAM show. I was content with seeing him in commercials. A little bit of Ernest goes a long way. Ya know whudd I mean?
Ernest is literally a dead mascot. Not only has he not been used since 2000, but the actor that played him, Jim Varney died in 2000 from lung cancer. So, Ernest P. Worell is literally a dead mascot. KnowutImean Maggie?
There is a rare occasion wherein the mascot featured is actually deceased, and this was one of them, yes. Spuds was another, and there will be more in the future, perhaps even this season. The show title was originally meant to mean "mascots who've lost their stranglehold on their pop culture standing", but sometimes it does actually mean dead lol
Hey everyone, it's Ernest you know what I mean... Haven't heard about him since the early 2000s and wondered why at the time. I don't doubt that Ernest and Jim Varney's star of success would have continued in the 2000s if lung cancer didn't happen. RIP James Albert Varney Jr. (1949-2000)
Phew! I thought it wasn’t going to come anytime soon since the episode didn’t come out as promised in the trailer but I guess I spoke too soon. Good episode as always!
Well, to be fair, that "trailer" was more of an announcement than an actual trailer lol It was basically just to say that, hey, we got new episodes coming. That's why only the Chevron cars appeared in it, cause I knew for a while that that was the season opener. Glad you liked it! I actually was surprised by this one myself, and think it's easily one of the shows best, hah.

Buddy, as someone who edited this, you're preachin' to the choir.
