The clickbait takes and shit-talking from popular media is already going crazy, I feel like your videos are some of the only content I can actually trust to go to for REAL evaluations of Caleb’s performances. Thank you for this content
As a 25 year old girl with no interest in football a couple years ago I never thought I’d be spending my Mondays like this 😂 Always loved watching the bears growing up but mainly just for football parties - never actually cared about understanding football until last year. Your content is advanced for me but I love watching your videos every week! It’s helping me learn and I like being able to reflect on the game with a new perspective the next day.
Also check out the QB School, check out Faiz Sports Talk, check out Chat Sports Chicago Bears. You’ll learn more of the Xs and Os you’re referring to. And what reasonable upgrades or changes ought to be made. Etc.
This is really the only content that is actually worth watching. If you want to make your own decisions this channel just breaks down the plays and the QB play and lets me know where this kid is going.
On the 4th and 1 speed option, Caleb said that there was a check built into the play if they didn’t get the 6-1 defensive look they were expecting to see based on film study. However, they broke the huddle with around 10 seconds on the playclock so there was nowhere near enough time to change the play at the line on 4th and goal. That needed to be a coach recognizing the play was screwed and calling timeout from the sideline. Instead Eberflus put the blame on his players in the post game press conference. Can’t have that.
Honestly, just have Caleb fake the run and keep it himself running outside and he probably walks into the end zone or dumps it off to a wide open TE. It's obvious the Bears can't run the ball right now, so why try to punch it in 4 plays in a row? Bears score there, it's a different game that they probably win.
@@jiordone8563 The Bears aren't trying to run though. And they need to use Roschob. Roschon had 8 for 30. If you just feed him more, and run on the interior, you'd have a more balanced running game. Swift goes down immediately on any contact. The Bears can't have a rookie Qb throw 52x in a game which was basically a 1 score game the whole time.
That sequence of plays alone is a fireable offense. Not that anyone should or would be fired. And Flus had to make sure we come away with a TD. Him not getting involved with Shane is why I believe he’s a great DC and not a HC
Thanks bud, love your film breakdowns. Helps an Englishman not to panic, in spite of the general nfl media. It confirms what I see with Caleb, a young quarterback learning his trade and improving. Flashes of brilliance but needs more game time in the NFL.A work in progress and I'm excited about the future. Loving the content.
Man I love this kind of deep dive all 22 analysis you do Tim! Great job giving us fans an opportunity to see Caleb's play by play development. And I really appreciate you being a brutally honest about what we are seeing from our coaches.
You do a great Job with these. You can tell the Caleb Williams haters that masquerade as Bears fans don't actually watch the film. This dude is the real deal.
@@jimmy_butlerYour OC Is Horrible, Your O-Line is Horrible, And Keneen Allen Can't Stay Healthy. So Williams Is Most Definitely Not Your Only Issue On This Team.
@@jonathangleason72either that or he’s a complete goofball. Like what fuckin game is he watching?!😂 Anyone with half a football I.Q can see Caleb is the least of the offenses worries
He’s just got to keep stacking it week after week. He’ll be fine, but they desperately need to get this run game going or else he’s gonna be stifled in his growth.
His feet are horrible, so inconsistent. If he cleans up his footwork he’ll be great. That being said it is the best footwork the bears have ever seen..
Before the 4th and goal we ran Roshon Johnson to pick up the pick up the previous 4th and 1. Then sent him to the bench and brought in Herbert at the goal line and tried to jam him up the middle. Also on one of those plays we had 180 lb Carter trying to block a 280 lb defensive end. Unbelievable.
And not having Caleb under center either. It was a joke. RJ should have got the ball at least twice with Caleb under center in that horrendous sequence. Punch it through or run action.
Herbert is a better running back than Johnson. The problems is bears always running the ball out of shotgun instead of under center, running down hill.Johnson getting more playing time than Herbert is insane
As always, great breakdown for those of us who are not football nerds (I played basketball in college). I REALLY learn a lot from your breakdowns which help me understand the Bears better. 👍
Keep these coming, Tim! I, as a tortured Bears fan, love these breakdowns. You keep it objective and aren't trying to just say stupid shit for clicks. I respect that.
makes feel better about caleb. i feel like hes doing good. he knows where to go most of the time with his deep reads. hes just got to slow the game down. thx great work
Getting that first TD under his belt seemed to help settle and energise him. It's a shame they couldn't get him the ball back at the end to see what he might have done.
Yeah the big problem is coaching. Watching this video makes you realise how bad the coaching is with some of these concepts just all over the show and doing everything but helping the rookie QB. If he had a matt lafleur or something he would look a lot better
these content creators are never going to be 100% truthful, they literally make money from fans of the team wanting their QBs to be great. Kurt Warner who has nothing to gain, basically said Caleb has been trash and took a step back in game 3.
I am so glad you showed the play in the second part were he spins out and hits Kmet in the center. Those are the types plays we saw in college. He’s so accurate to not use more of the free lance plays with structured plays, his receivers run plays structurly if that’s a word, and spins out of where he is and knowing where they’re going to be and he hits him downfield regardless of the line structure.
Thank you so much for this content. I felt watching the game like we saw a good end to the game that let me leave breathing SO much easier. It isn't all roses at all, but this definitely helps validate my optimism (for caleb). Hopefully we either straighten this up this season soon or we commit this offseason to going full on O-line and offensive head coach to help him. He has to be the guy for us and we need to treat him like that
The combination of all things QB and Qb school give the listener the perfect combo of realistic yet positive from all things QB and negatively realistic from QB school thanks for the great video.
Enjoyable videos because you're teaching me how to understand the game better (along with showing ridiculous new angles of Caleb's abilities) but pouring salt in the wound with your honesty about how dumb and awful the coaching has been through three weeks, which in the end isn't really even your fault! Great breakdown once again, Tim!
Good breakdown, as usual. Reminder, Eberflus: 1) claims to sit in on the offensive (pun intended) meetings; 2) wears a headset. So he knows what's in the playbook, hears the calls being made, yet, as a DC, has allowed those crapass plays to not only exist, but to be called? He's as much to blame as Waldron. I'd also bet at sometime during the season, if the offense continues to suck, either CW and/or his dad will have words with Ryan Poles about the coaching staff and insist changes be made, no later than after the season.
Another great review! That fourth down option was nuts. I think Wiliams said they had to play he could've checked into, but he was worried about the amount of time left on the clock in that situation. As a bunch of us were watching this live, we were like how can that play even be a thing in that situation?

On the int to Rome, great throw, but the ball gets tipped by the DB reaching up through Rome's hands. Rome didn't drop it, it was really just an amazing play by the DB or Rome catches it. Hard to see on the All-22 copy.
Even if it is salt in the wound guess what that's the tape that they put on film and I love the breakdowns so keep doing you please because there's not many like you that break the game down like you do
