Ok, now THIS is awesome. It would be EPIC to see DDD turned into a Touhou-like game like this with different styles of fighting and stuff. A pretty ingenious way of uniting both fandoms. Nice work! Keep it up! :D

The music combined with the battle as what we in the forth dimension from their view really gives the depth and the shock from the bass in the music as if we are participating in that battle.

review by aeon: its pretty awesome long version below just goin through it in the order i did things: menu is pretty rad, although calling normal normal is a bit misleading when the boss is a proper stage 6 lunatic the shot type is pretty rad, at times. the i was able to get through just about everything with determination and perseverance, and the others were kinda just in the way as i swapped between them. i totally get what you were goin for with them and their utility but there are so many and you go through em one at a time so its just not worth switching to the others when you could have some tried and true focused homing. special case for kindness, though. that one is a super good addition and going defensive for a bit is a great option especially since theres bpohc boss invincibility to deal with speaking of which, some kind of indicator that youre not dealin any damage to the boss would be nice since i didn't even notice it was an element in my first few attempts similarly a ui for the equipment would be good, maybe one that shows whats coming up next or maybe a full on different method of switching since seven is a lot to go through with one button patterns are all great, second nonspell and spell might be my favorites. the final one kinda hurt when i realized kindness didnt seem to work on it, but then i realized it was a really short survival spell and each focused determination bomb was like five seconds long so i did a tiny bit of cheese. glad i did because massive 130 degree wide laser would have absolutely nuked me. oh yeah you put a lotta gat dam bombs in this game its crazy. focused and unfocused for each shot? i didn't end up trying all of them because i was mostly in two modes the whole time but gotta appreciate the completion of it all one thing that did kinda suck about em though is that if you slightly miss the deathbomb window you waste a bomb on a new life. you get a generous 6 lives and i frequently die with bombs remaining anyway so not a massive deal but it would absolutely be a bother in something longer basically none of the spellcards are sightreadable in the slightest but its not like i have to trudge through a stage portion to retry so not a problem super fast review on everything in particular because this is already massive for a youtube comment why not go all the way: tutorial: its pretty good even if it takes a bit and gives an explanation to why bombs work the way they do, something ive never seen before even once determination: can't go wrong with illusion laser. simple but gets the job done. it also seems like it has a longer deathbomb window? if so thats a really cool fitting bit bravery: trust me, i like my shotgunning, but there wasn't a place for it in these patterns. boss was either impossible to approach or moving way too fast for it to be safe justice: wide shot, but not very wide when focused. a bit of a power downgrade from determination without the certain hit of perseverance kindness: awesome concept and it works really well patience: i like my weird shots but this one shifts around just a bit too fast to be maneuverable to the precision it demands on the fly integrity: looks like it would be pretty good for stage portions, but certainly not for bosses perseverance: hold shift to do damage, and you can focus on dodging with a lil bonus if youre under the boss. likey nonspell 1: pretty nice and plain. pressuing but has openings to gain some breathing room rising pyruption: i honestly did not do this guy without bombing even once because of the burst to the side the dude does at the top but i really like it visually nonspell 2: this one is great, encourages using a faster shot to swerve around the tiny guys in the curved lanes of the big guys cryocrystalline showers: another banger, shotgunning is manageable and makes you move to the side where youre gonna be in a good position to dodge the falling ice bullets. the final bit where everything rises up feels like it can screw you over with rng but you have a lot of space to pick a nice-looking spot nonspell 3: this one was where i started using kindness to wait out the boss invincibility time because those rings were costing me a bomb or two almost every time erratic energestics: alright this one is actually kinda able to nuke you on rng. i wasnt able to find a 100% consistent way of not being able to get hit when the lightning gets really dense. it didnt hit me often when i was staying still and ready for it, but it did a few times nonspell 4: scary but manageable. pretty neat illusory ride: gusty rain on a stormy night dropping purple lightning. probably looks the best (it looks really good) and makes the kindness shot the star of the show cosmic flare: like i said i kinda cheesed here but the fact that kindness doesnt work, assuming i wasnt just being dumb and did something wrong, is something that should be telegraphed. anyway the actual pattern goes like zmmm and then shwooo shwooo shwooo and then wuwuwuwuwuwu BWOOOO and its great. i had literally no idea the laser was coming which i would complain about if i wasnt in gaster's massive invincibility period when it happened. best part is when it goes from monochrome to all the rainbow bullets the end thats it thanks for making ive been watching your undertale danmaku before i could even beat imperishable night so a proper playable version of one of your crazy videos is absolutely rockin

Amazing game bro Also theory thing: At 15:11 there seems to be another character we have not seen yet. It has a blue aura around its figure. I'm thinking it could an alternate universe sans, possibly being Error 404 since the figure looks as if they're wearing a hoodie with a fluff neck and the aura has a close resemblance to the same type of blue as Error 404, but then again he's a god and this probably isn't correct for him to be here. It could also possibly be a touhou character however I haven't played touhou at all so I wouldn't know which one it closes resembles to. Finally it could possibly be a original character as the figure could also look like human head with hair.
@@harmonyesy7223 I'd say it's not really Phantasm, more of MoF Ex. Every other attack is a blind killer, almost all of them have easy, yet not-so-obvious (ok ok kinda obvious to me, but that may be just me) strats, and straightforward dodging is little to none.
(Edit: You can disregard the paragraph below this one, I finally figured out how it works. For people who were confused like me, you have to press left shift to do the "focus" abilities. The "focus" ability also helps with slowing down, because in normal Undertale you use the "x" key to slow down but the "x" key is replaced by the special abilities) Alright, I have tried the game but I am a little bit confused about the "focus" mechanic and was genuinely wondering how it activates. Do I just stay still, stay aligned with the enemy, or is there a button pattern that I am missing? I haven't really played Touhou, so I am not too familiar with these mechanics.

the master spark at the end of cosmic flare is pretty much unavoidable because i suck at 2hus and can only get -past the first attack and rising pyruption without bombing, then use all of my bombs on everything else and end up at 2 lives and 1 bomb and fail the starspammer shenanigans without bombs

I'm gonna guess that this battle style won't be the only one that appears for the rest of chapter 2? Cause I do think the regular Turn based Bullet hell style of RPG will still show but I also like this type of style. I never played Touhou before so I'm not used to Shooter type bullet hells but this makes me happy

It's a bit visually difficult for me unfortunately. Black and white bullets are easy to confuse for background elements, especially in a black and white background.

I had plans to create a scoring/ ranking system on the Special Attacks, based on penalties like: Using spells, getting hit etc. I might roll that out when the next major update of this game is made.

I have yet to find Danmakufu Scripts on there (the engine I used for this 'game') to validate me publishing this thing on Game Jolt. This was made on the 'Danmakufu Engine'. The programming language itself is quite new to me and I'm 60% sure it's a customized language specifically for Danmakufu.

At 15:11 there seems to be another character we have not seen yet. It has a blue aura around its figure. I'm thinking it could an alternate universe sans, possibly being Error 404 since the figure looks as if they're wearing a hoodie with a fluff neck and the aura has a close resemblance to the same type of blue as Error 404, but then again he's a god and this probably isn't correct for him to be here. It could also possibly be a touhou character however I haven't played touhou at all so I wouldn't know which one it closes resembles to. Finally it could possibly be a original character as the figure could also look like human head with hair.

@@harmonyesy7223 I'd say it's not really Phantasm, more of MoF Ex. Every other attack is a blind killer, almost all of them have easy, yet not-so-obvious (ok ok kinda obvious to me, but that may be just me) strats, and straightforward dodging is little to none.

More like "Touhou game with Undertale characters", because DDD have it's own lore
(Edit: You can disregard the paragraph below this one, I finally figured out how it works. For people who were confused like me, you have to press left shift to do the "focus" abilities. The "focus" ability also helps with slowing down, because in normal Undertale you use the "x" key to slow down but the "x" key is replaced by the special abilities)
Alright, I have tried the game but I am a little bit confused about the "focus" mechanic and was genuinely wondering how it activates. Do I just stay still, stay aligned with the enemy, or is there a button pattern that I am missing? I haven't really played Touhou, so I am not too familiar with these mechanics.
I believe that it's the ctrl key held down, hope it helps.

the master spark at the end of cosmic flare is pretty much unavoidable because i suck at 2hus and can only get -past the first attack and rising pyruption without bombing, then use all of my bombs on everything else and end up at 2 lives and 1 bomb and fail the starspammer shenanigans without bombs
So are we getting the pacifist route (or PPP) next?

Omega's absoutely swamped with life things, and Servants of Harvest Wish is absolutely kicking his ass with its later Overdrive Spells. At least, according to his editor and friend MaskedBeeX. Still hoping something comes of it soon, and MegamanOmega finally triumphs over his new archnemesis in the Touhousphere.

@@longlivethe9989 Not everyone knows what a Hose shot-type is. Hell, the reason I fought with you over Patience's shot-type is because I never knew of any character that used a Hose shot-type, or that shot-type styles had names.
It's a bit visually difficult for me unfortunately. Black and white bullets are easy to confuse for background elements, especially in a black and white background.

Just took another look and... is there going to be a scoring system of some kind?
I had plans to create a scoring/ ranking system on the Special Attacks, based on penalties like: Using spells, getting hit etc. I might roll that out when the next major update of this game is made.

This was made on the 'Danmakufu Engine'. The programming language itself is quite new to me and I'm 60% sure it's a customized language specifically for Danmakufu.
